I am 10000x more worried about how to get a husky or other normal pet dog away from my livestock without hurting them than I am worried about coyotes. This isn’t the wild west either. Not that I hate them or anything but I believe I have to wipe out all of the coyotes in my local area. I heard some animals fighting outside my house and went to investigate with my flashlight, where I saw some raccoons in a tree.One of them crawled down while the other stayed put. Every so often I would hear the noise start again and go outside again, and only see a raccoon, which would then walk away.
I now think that I may have accidentally driven the raccoons out of their hiding spots, and this puts me in debt. I have to kill the coyotes to make it up to them, and since coyotes apparently engage in "compensatory mating", nothing short of a local coyote genocide will do.
