seems like a poorly designed system from the little i understand, if a package which previously had reliable maintainers becomes orphaned it shouldn't be possible for someone to spam adopt hundreds of those packages without being reviewed
a friend said the AUR mods would have to review every commit for everything, but i think it would work fine just to audit people who try to adopt orphaned packages in the future to see if they're malicious
idk maybe that wouldn't work great/reliably either, and it seems like the AUR would be a natural target for malware niggers either way
