>US PRESIDENT TRUMP ON TRUTH
>"The recent Decision of the United States Supreme Court concerning TARIFFS could allow for Hundreds of Billions of Dollars to be returned to Countries and Companies that have been “ripping off” the United States of America for many years to come, and now, according to this Decision, could actually continue to do so, at an even increased level. I am sure that the Supreme Court did not have this in mind! It doesn’t make sense that Countries and Companies that took advantage of us for decades, receiving Billions and Billions of Dollars that they should not have been allowed to receive, would now be entitled to an undeserved “windfall,” the likes of which the World has never seen before, as a result of this highly disappointing, to say the least, ruling. Is a Rehearing or Readjudication of this case possible??? PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP"

i'm talking about data not pwoer. copper based interconnects are slow, not saying i'm not bullish any periodic element, but it's less copper used overall.
>>
>>
>>
>>61913667
I agree that computers and networks have to become faster to make le gdp number go up
I disagree that copper will get used less
why? because the faster the computers get the more we will build anyways and the datacenters consist of more than just fiber optics and server racks, think about cooling and reliable power supply

When we get close to the IPO of OpenAI, MSFT will gain. I will probably start unloading before.
>>
>>
>>61913665
No. It's one of the more manipulated stocks. Retail is not welcome in those companies. If you take up any position and attempt anything, they'll just read your portfolio, have AI track your every move, and trade directly against you. If you sell covered calls and they're ready to bring it up, they'll skyrocket it past your strikes. If they don't feel like bringing it up, they can bring it down ~50% far more easily than you could ever imagine. They move trillion dollar companies like penny stocks.
>>
>>
>>61913847
The most money I make is from finding tech penny stocks before they pump and selling when they 5x-25x but it takes a lot of time and pain.
My goal is to make two portfolios. A permanent portfolio with better returns than S&P500 and low drawdown and then an Bond/LETF rebalance portfolio which will have extremely high returns and also be fairly low risk.
This will allow to make to make high returns while also spending less time at the computer.

C&I Debt still trading at around $2.86 for each $1 loaned. Same as the divinely ordained level pre-1990s euphoria, and coincidently mid range for every crisis since. This is the economy we live in now. The next crisis(es) before 2040 will swing less and less as we get more and more used to this financial inevitability. There won't be a dotcom until after 2040.
Tech/Growth is unironically the play as debt teases cheaper and cheaper since Jan 2025. We aint nowhere near eurphoria until we get to 1990s levels.

According to midterm seasonality, we should have a rally into March/April, then a pretty chunky drawdown until like September. Benner Cycles also predict 2026 being a "sell stuff" year.
I'm going to likely take profits and move overweight into defensive stuff (SGOV) and energy until after the summer. Likely going to rotate back into materials at that point. You can see I have lots of different energy segments, but I'm mostly into IEO and IEZ, in the event domestic oil gets fucked with (eg Iran)

900 units per 1g connection and I was called in because some millennial was complaining about only being able to pull 30mbps which I'm surprised it was that high. told them it was basically performing as designed and gave the HOA a quote to refit for a 40g and 25g fiber. I don't think they will be contacting me, boomers are cheap as fuck.

Babetard is right anon. buy an index as main port and then only buy things you have conviction about on the side. Managing all those sounds tedious and not rewarding. like how do you know your dogs are really dogs, or if your thesis for the stock was wrong etc.

Actually I have a bit of HAS too

My brokerage (CommSec) only allows ASX-listed ETFs and shares. I like the integration with my bank, but I’m bearish on Australia due to its structural reliance on mining and real estate.
CAT: U.S. re-industrialisation and post-war reconstruction in Rus/Ukraine/Palestine would increase demand for heavy machinery.
WFRD / SLB / EQNR: Reopening and modernising global (Venezuela, Russia, Ukraine) oil infrastructure would drive demand for oilfield services.
Pfizer: Future pandemics and AI-driven drug development support long-term pharmaceutical demand.
FIX / MOD: Growth in data centres and EVs increases demand for advanced thermal management.
VNM / SE: Exposure to Vietnam’s manufacturing growth and emerging market expansion.

I try to buy calls when it looks like a local bottom, eg the start of an uptrend, 60-70 delta, and about 120-180 dte. When it trends, it seems to have a really good return. Might try some synth long futures, but since this is a TFSA, I have to use cash-secured puts which locks up some capital, so whatever

So where's the retards who invested in CoreWeave, Nebius, IREN, etc? How do you figure they will ever be profitable? They don't even own all the data centres they use they rent a decent amount of them, they have to regularly buy the updated tech that the likes of Nvidia and others releases, can you explain to me why you thought investing in these 'neo-clouds' was the play?

I got on the gold miner wind, a year late but the Feb dip was a nice entry point and now prices are rising again.
This bullrun is it it for me. I hope to strike it on some small cap multi baggers with the rising prices as a failsafe.

Since a lot of index etfs end up being tech weighted, you could do a pairs trade: go long on whatever etf (VOO/SPY, QQQ) and then short a tech-heavy index. One will go up and the other will go down, but the net gain or loss will depend on what everything except tech is doing.
A great site for looking at etf comps is https://www.etfdb.com, you can get a sense of what sector weights are and go long/short accordingly
Also, what I like to do is weight positions by ATR (volatility indicator). Basically instead of doing like $1,000 on each, you'd adjust the weights based on the atr, so the volatile one would have $400, while the flat and boring one has $1600

It’s a 3 year hold max before I think about selling. I think well Servicing companies are a bit more resilient as wells / upstream still need to be maintained regardless of oil prices. Secondly, there is a lot of demand for natural gas as a greener alternative.

Here's a better snapshot from Jan 14, though. A lot of etfs I've been building on for about 6-8 months. I expect a downturn after April, as I've mentioned so I'll take profit before then.

>"The cure for high prices is high prices. The cure for low prices is low prices"
Anyways, there's more ways to play oil than just spot. I've got IEZ/IEO to specifically target domestic largecap producers, who will have a large standing inventory in the event of a supply shock (drives price up), otherwise they grind upwards slowly/pay a dividend since they're basically a utility. And then the other one is toolchain suppliers for the drillers, like Baker-Hughes. If there's a mass reopening of wells (and Trump might do that if price goes up enough / govt incentives to drill), they'll make bank as well. Look at IEZ, the chart has just been grinding upwards slowly, I'm very comfy.
There's also weekly oil rig counts; it's 280 or so last time I checked? Last month seems to be 550? It seems many have possibly restarted, I'm not sure

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said late Friday that his company has agreed to terms with the Department of Defense on use of its artificial intelligence models shortly after President Donald Trump said the government won’t work with AI rival Anthropic.
“Tonight, we reached an agreement with the Department of War to deploy our models in their classified network,” Altman wrote in a post on X. “In all of our interactions, the DoW displayed a deep respect for safety and a desire to partner to achieve the best possible outcome.”

The third last column is how many options were bought at that level.
So you can see that at 100 strike, 4,000 options where bought, and it was at $6. People bet $2.4 million that SLV will go up 25% by mid April. And there is also interest in other higher strikes.
The premiums also remain high as strike price goes up. Its way higher than normal.

They're just restricting from being used by the military and military contractors. That's not anti-capitalist.
This blowup is all because Antrophic wanted to be able to check that they weren't breaking ToS, while OpenAI has pretty much the same terms , but are fine with a pinky promise. And Antrophic's wanting to check is why their suing to not get the supply-risk designation will fail.

>It means Anthropic doesn't get the yummy government money anymore. You seem to be illiterate though.
The government money doesn't matter. What matters is by being designated a supply chain risk, any government contractor cant use you. I have a fucking client that still cant stand up any core infrastructure in the cloud, not even something like azure gov cloud, because they signed a contract with the state department more than a decade ago promising they wouldn't. The .gov contracts Anthropic had were small, anyone who remotely does business with the gov't and now cant with Anthorpic is fucking huge.
>>
>>61914668
It is absolutely a security risk if antrophic wants to check on military programs to make sure they are not breaking TOS. There is no problem with making those terms and enforcing them in court if it is found out that their programs were used improperly. They just can't enforce them by other means.
>>
>>
>>61914686
>The .gov contracts Anthropic had were small, anyone who remotely does business with the gov't and now cant with Anthorpic is fucking huge.
thats not what a supply chain risk means, the US government cannot intermingle in private business
it means they cant use claude to do government work, it doesnt mean they cant use Claude to do everything else
its a blacklist thats not a blacklist, Secretary Alcoholbreath will be embarrassed in court

>>

>>61914712
My first year of trading options (2021 or so), my broker charged $10 per transaction and $1 per contract. I spent $6000 in fees and ended up down net $200. Ignoring the fees, I'd have made a killing.
However, they are commission free now, and I'm more conservative
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>61914725
Questrade. They've actually been proactive about reducing fees and adding more features and not being skeezy about it. They've added partial shares and overnight trading, and zero commissions on everything. I don't say this to shill them, since I assume any decent broker does the same thing to stay competitive these days

its pretty obvious with the military movement. even as a layman i knew it would happen and i knew it was going to be this weekend. because of two reasons 1.the movement is already complete and the patterns of negotiations 2.Trump always delivers shit news on weekends for the stock market. Notice how the greenland news came in the long weekend few weeks back? its an obvious pattern.
Also, he would want it to end before the mid term elections which are starting campaigns soon.
Also, Trump and most of the politicians is captured by Zio interests. And they made it clear what they want. All of these combined make it an easily telegraphed attack.
