No matter how many times I run the calculations, there is only one inevitable conclusion: The Nuclear IPO Era.
Index fund managers, jealous of the 2-and-20 of their underperforming hedge fund and private equity friends are now going to unleash an unimaginable weapon against us. Carefully crafted by decades by the top financial engineers.
The Age of the Nuclear IPO is here. And it is headed for the index funds and 401k's of the world. It is inevitable. Massive private bid ups of companies to lead into frontrunning their inclusion in indices immediately after the IPO. The rules are written, the players are in place. And with each nuke they siphon off historic index fund return trends until there is no risk adjusted returns left at all. All that is left is for them to push the button.
SpaceX, OpenAI, and Anthropic are only the beginning. It will be a new world. I do not know what it will look like but I know it will mean the end of our current world.

The S&P500 needs 1 year before including a stock.
Total Market index funds do not have such a rule, and will include IPOs immediately.
IPOs generally tend to underperform the stock market on average.

As an index fund investor, I do not mind it. I accept that it's part of the concept.

I don't understand the recent frenzy about excluding these mega IPOs from index funds. We don't know whether these companies will do well or not. That's why we own the entire index.
Persoanally I'm not convinced SpaceX is overvalued, I'm happy to own it as part of the index. They do truly meaningful things and have no real competition.

>I don't understand the recent frenzy about excluding these mega IPOs from index funds.
Part of this technology revolves around restricting the float for the few days/weeks before index rebalance. This is not about price discovery which is one of the major bedrocks of the index funds.
https://www.koreaherald.com/article/10711759#:~:text=Market%20participants%20say%20the%20company's%20limited%20free,release%20less%20than%205%20percent%20of%20its
> SpaceX is expected to release less than 5 percent of its total shares to the public — a relatively low level compared with typical large-cap IPOs.

OpenAI, Anthropic, etc. will do the same. These are being engineered with 1 exact purpose. To carve 2-4% of the flesh of those in index funds. It will be obscured for a time by 11% historic returns going to 9% then to 7%, etc. But this is how the incentives are aligned now. Every "great" financial instrument is eventually arbitraged to risk adjusted noise. And now there is finally a way to do this with index funds.

Blood red gap down but may recover from a tweet or two. I expect crabby selling throughout the week accelerating into Friday close.

Next week blockade is lifted, Hormussy is opened, but this week we get act 3 of the political theatre and dramatic posturing to save face of the leaders of both sides.

even if they were cheap you wouldn't buy them babe. because right now you're not focused on making money, you're focused on proving something, or acting out some kind of ritual i'm not sure. think of the stock market like a menu, and imagine there are no prices on it. swiftie says those places exist by the way and i'd like to take you someday, but anyways you should be focused on making the best company, in this analogy the best meal, not on the particulars. imagine i were paying for your stocks, what companies would you want to own? stop ordering off of the dollar menu and pick what's best.
>>
>>62129025
I don't think you understand what happens in a crash. Even the fairly or undervalued stocks get heemed -8% a day without any distinction.

>>62129021
Ah yes, le forward PE meme, impervious to anything, totally reliable. It totally helped the retards that bought because le forward PE was down late 2021/early 2022. Oh wait, they got heemed by a -30% by late 2022.
Not saying it's not an indicator to follow, it is, but it's just one of many. Look at how the Shiller PE is calculated, smoothing everything over 10 years to better see if the markets are overvalued or not, instead of this "instant" Forward PE shit that changes every morning.

I think buying spicy brown Latinx stocks is actually going to be the move.

There 6-7 trillion credit expansion in America simply doesn’t have anywhere to go domestically.
Building mountains of Ti-84 equivalent power computer center in 1980 wouldn’t have been smart either, the tech will improve and deprecate the stuff before it’s even in use.

Trump has pulled back from Asia and has delusions of American empire, but I think the one who replaces him will probably continue this line of New World focus as that credit needs to go somewhere and the opportunity is in spicy nations, Africa is Chinese property.

The US will need resources and it isn’t going to be able to get them from yuros and chinamen anymore, there will be some scheme of us debt for Latinx development and industry.

Long term, white folx will trade places with Latinos and move to the equator where human beings were actually designed to live.

There is no reason to freeze your cock off on the streets of Madison Avenue when you live in a fully automated utopia, settlement of high and low longitudes have been a disaster for the human race.

Alright so If we look at the MIcron stock, since micronfag has disappeared like Lum when soxl ate shit back in 2022, micron is a little stinky right now. Trapped in a range from a to b. increasing capex. change rom asset light to more asset heavy. notice apple in unchanged.

if you look at the stock prices they have skyrocketed over that period of time by the way. FT aka Europe is always biased against US tech anyway.
>>
Interesting. Drill baby, drill.
>>

That's interesting. So the move to cloud infrastructure, and now especially with hyperscaling, is moving them out of the typical low asset tech sector scaling and into something more like utilities or industrial

Name 1 benefit of buying a retarded CD or putting money into a HYSA when you can literally just open a brokerage account on Fidelity with a base position in SPAXX or just pay the 50 bucks for RH gold to get the 3.5% interest on your unvested cash. You can get a debit card for your fidelity account with a base position in SPAXX if you're a gay retard that uses debit cards. That literally has more liquidity than a CD or an HYSA.
Every normal person with a few nickels to rub together pays with credit anyway so even if it had LESS liquidity it wouldn't be an issue.
