What happened to the kaigai idols at oc japan fair? There's only maids now.
Seems like if you want to get invites to all events you need to actually work daily/weekly like a maid cafe or vtubing.

the problem is that CPAC is central to like. 99% of the northeast idol community. they apparently got like 60+ applications, and stupidly decided to offer 10 minute timeslots for an idolfest that's probably not longer than 2 hours. idk what the hell they were all thinking, but apparently they only accepted like 11 groups/performers. they all seriously dropped the ball on this, no wonder so many wannabe performers are upset...

the wota crowd were at oc japan fair and they were funding the jp idols and also getting cheki from the maid idols.
most of the other people left right when the show was over and skipped buppan.
the vtuber idols that attended (ashes favored people) helped do a big surprise and hyped the crowd to the maximum.
every la show is the complete opposite of this thread's headcanon.

I agree with this post and definitely wish there were more kaigai idols that took their craft more seriously. But it's a LOT of time, effort and money for something that will hardly sustain itself unless you go viral. Thus why the idol scene in the states is basically a school talent show. Gets boring af to watch.

a venue costs a couple thousand to rent + equipment. do the math and you can see that the reason every show can exist is either because the venue is owned or paid for by maids, the venue is paid for by vip tickets, or the performers are paying for it and it's eating into their profit.

I overheard that the £75 was covering the entire weekend, so both performers and attendees do not have the option to purchase a one-day pass. It's very frustrating that performers are being exploited to pay-to-play instead of at the very least having a complimentary badge for their hard work.

If Berry is a special guest, I assume that she is getting paid for it though I wonder what her take is on the matter. Although she most likely doesn't have control over the event itself, I don't think it's a good look for her to endorse an event that takes advantage of people like that. i feel like aidol has a specific singing style that would work better for more calm or relaxed music, lo-fi or something. instead she went for the most stereotypical bubble pop generic idol thing. the songs energy doesnt match her singing at all. she either should practice, get training, and adapt to the style she wants to go for (more enthusiasm, less singing like she's trying not to wake up mom and dad in the next room), or change the genre of music to match her style.
