My whole life I've been having breakfast sandwiches with ketchup, hot sauce, salt+pepper+ketchup, some variation of those.
I randomly picked up a bottle of HP because I'd heard about it and I was curious. Added it to a BEC.
It's... it's really fucking good. It's a tart tangy sweet sauce, hard to describe, there's some kind of fruit flavors going on. It's not at all like A1, ketchup, or bbq sauce. Frankly I think it's good enough that people should "discover" it and breakfast places should offer it as a condiment.
Brown sauce!

It's always tiresome when fresh little cunts like this think that paragraphs are "reddit spacing". It's not what reddit spacing is. They act all smug firing that insult out and they're clueless that they're wrong. Tragic

Houses of Parliament. It's because whoever created it heard that some restaurant within the houses of parliament had started to serve it with their food >>21902111

I'm curious about the McD's items that use it but I'll probably never get to travel to the UK.

A1 is the American label for brown sauce. Google it.

I assume you're just posting this to get people to reply to you, thus confirming your existence. Because all you need to do is compare A1 and HP ingredients to see that they're nowhere near the same sauce. And they taste completely different no matter how many times you repeat otherwise.

I am not going to reply to that prat either.
I took the piss out of 'literally' and now they are asking to google it???
They have no clue what they are talking about and it's best we leave them to pretend they know better.

Just a quick skin off Wikipedia shows that they're the same brown sauce with essentially the same ingredients (tomatoes, vinegar, sugar, corn syrup, spices, raisins/dates) made by the same company.

All of these brown sauces such as HP, A1 and even Worcestershire sauce are just variations of Indian sweet tamarind chutneys. Tamarind is naturally sweet and sour. HP sauce is basically ketchup, tamarind and malt vinegar. Worcestershire sauce is fish sauce, tamarind and malt vinegar. If you want to learn how to make your own brown sauce or BBQ sauce, get some tamarind and experiment with adding tomato, vinegar, sugar, other fruits, etc
