I'm underweight so I'm deliberately trying to get fatter but it's genuinely a struggle getting more calories. Like in order to get a meaningful surplus, I need to use meme strategies like glupping down large quantities of peanut butter. Any tips on what to do? Only stipulation is that I want to avoid accumulating visceral fat, so keep sugar to a minimum. And can some of the fatasses here share what they eat in a typical day? Include your weight as well.

>Pack of pop-tarts for breakfast
>Some kind of sandwich, or a hot pocket, for lunch
>Bowl of cereal as a snack in the afternoon
>Usually another sandwich for dinner
>Another bowl of cereal or pack of pop tarts before bed as a snack

Get a rice cooker that has a keep warm feature. 500g of dry rice is 1800 calories and isn't too bad to eat in 2 or 3 meals.
First meal is 1/2 of the rice with 5 eggs, 3 tbs of butter, and some meat or cheese.
Second meal is the other half of the rice with half a pound of 85/15 ground beef cooked up in a nice sauce with some heavy cream or whatever and some veggies cooked in butter.
Breakfast is like 1600-1800+ calories, and dinner can be like another 1800. Add in a quarter gallon of whole milk throughout the day and you'll be consuming over 4k calories per day EASY.

How are you guys even fat? This doesn't seem like a lot.
>>21904313
Are you sure your math is correct? 500 g of rice is closer to 600 calories.
>>21904321
That's a good idea, next time I stir fry meat or vegetables I'll pour the leftover oil over the food.

>How are you guys even fat? This doesn't seem like a lot.
it's hard to lose weight when you are 59. I try to eat 2000 per day it's more like 2100 or so. I bike 30 minutes twice a day. I still cannot get below 260.
>>
>>21904321
Yeah whatever is easiest, tasty, and still has relatively clean ingredients is going to be an ideal recipe. If you want to stick to a diet variety will also be important.
Rice is awesome because you can just do any meat + sauce combo and it's always pretty good.

I see. That's gonna be a struggle, It's already hard to put down 1 cup of rice per day, and you're asking me to eat 3 per day.
>>21904336
Yeah, it's really hard to find pants that fit because most of them have waists that are too large for me.
>>
>>21904342
3 cups twice a day. Stay active and you'll be hungry enough to eat 4-5 cups of food twice a day.
You may need to work your way up to it, so just eat the absolute most you can whenever you eat and your stomach will eventually expand to accommodate for larger portions.
>>
>>21904342
Yep, and I'm guessing you're tired often?
My suggestions btw
> Pastas with cream and egg sauces
> Fatty meats with cream or yogurt sauces
>> No fucking chicken breast or tenders, get thiiiiiighs
> Peanut butter and date protein shakes
> Dates
> Nuts
Everyone's focusing on the carbs but you should definitely incorporate more fat and protein.
Dairy is a great source, use the heavy stuff, yogurt, sour cream etc.
I know you want to avoid sugar but try snacking on dates and nuts if you're struggling to feel like eating a whole meal.
Glupping down peanut butter is easier if it's in a shake form, and more calorie dense. I used to make big batches with a stick blender for less work. Smoothie King has a great one though, if you have money to spend. You can add dates and stuff to it too.
>>
>>21904342
I want to add, it may help to make sure you have easy snacks all the time.
Just like the nuts/dates thing.
When I really couldn't bring myself to get up and cook a meal, I could eat handfuls of that until I felt full.
Having anything on hand that you can just eat will be good, like fruit, popcorn, chips whatever.

>Yep, and I'm guessing you're tired often?
Actually the opposite where I tend to have trouble sleeping.
>Dairy is a great source, use the heavy stuff, yogurt, sour cream etc.
Yeah I've tried making shakes by mixing heavy cream with diet soda and it's honestly really good, it tastes like melted ice cream.
>No fucking chicken breast or tenders, get thiiiiiighs
Lol I didn't know I was unintentionally starving myself by exclusively buying breast meat.
>Dates
I actually didn't know dates were so energy dense, I'll look into incorporating those into my diet.

There is no way you're that big and only eat 2,000 calories a day. It is impossible. The only way I would believe this is if you're an alcoholic and you excluded like 1,500 calories worth of beer or something.

Then hit the gym?
It's really simple
I was 20lbs underweight. I gained 20lbs and was stable there for about 2 months.
Then I went to the gym, and have been able to actually make progress lifting heavier weights.
If you can't even fuel your body enough to gain weight you're not going to gain muscle.
Going to the gym didn't work until I ate more fat and protein, and started gaining weight. It didn't make eat more either, I was just exhausted and had less capacity to make food.
>>
I am in the same boat as OP. I hit up the gym too. Just lost 2kg in the recent 2 months despite my efforts. I ate like 1000 calories today and don't feel like eating anything. My main motivation is becoming somewhat strong because fat people are naturally stronger and I don't like being weak.

If you go to the gym at least 3 times a week you need to be eating at LEAST 2000 cals a day with as much of it being g protein as possible. This is not negotiable. You will stay small if you don't fucking eat

That’s good, better off than i was.
I found it easier to force myself to get calories via liquids and snacks. If you’re not hungry but you know you need to get down more calories, start just cramming trailmix style snacks or chips if you’re not too worried about “eating clean”.
I had a bunch of food reaction issues so i had to stick to whole foods.
There’s my other recs:

Excess carbs make healthy people fat. If you’re barely getting enough calories do not focus on carbs, supplementing with them helps after you’ve had fat and protein. Your bod needs all three to function properly, and that’s what you need to gain muscle. Especially protein!

I had the same problem. 181cm 64kg, used to be 55kg.
I'm an LMHR type. My metabolism is fast af. First I tried drinking calories like amerifats do. It helped but it was a lot of carbs and I had to force myself to keep doing it.
Healthy fats was the answer.
Pour olive oil over everything. It's 120 kcals per tbsp.
Mashed potatoes? Veggies? Roast bread? Just poor olive oil. Tastes great, healthy fats and good calories.
Also a handful of nuts and seeds with some hard cheese is a nice snack or addition to lunch. You can also use nuts to make a crunchy layer on top of food you cook, works on a lot of things surprisingly.
>>
>>21905660
You can BALANCE your carbs and proteins though. What the fuck is wrong with everyone not understanding balance
>>21905668
> Add nuts as a layer
I'm salty I never thought of this, would've enjoyed it.
I did also forget Olive oil, I definitely upped my evoo intake and.
You're exactly right though, going hard on carbs does not actually help if you can't get enough fat and protein either.

Lil-bro, Im not the one saying that other lilbro should be eating a whole ass cow everyday if he wants to see sick gainz. My entire point is that carbs and protein are both very important for getting the ultimate gain.

No one said that.
They said eat 2k calories, heavy on the protein. If you're training to gain muscle, that's fine advice.
They didn't even say shit about cutting carbs. We can all read the thread, it's stupid to lie or exaggerate.

5'4" 306 pounds here. I eat over 3000 calories, McDonald's Burger King Taco Bell in and out burger Domino's bushes chicken Church's Chicken. Pretty much pick any fast food you want. Also when you go grocery shopping buy a family pack of peanut m&M's or a pack of Snickers with 12 pints of ice cream pretty much any junk food.
>>
>>21904300
Eat until you get slightly sick every meal. Do this for long enough and you'll realize that every meal is getting bigger and bigger. Continue and you'll realize you're now eating two pizzas by yourself and posting God Bless on Mongolian basket weaving forums.

Most of the advice here on these weight gain threads is shit, as usual.
Firstly, the biggest thing are your habits, and then you DEVOTE yourself to breaking your eating habits. So If want to actually commit to saay, weighing 200 lbs, you to start by determining how much you actually eat for several days, maybe even a week if you feel like it. You can use one of those apps like NutritionX or whatever, just count calories as best you can, find one that works. I guarantee you are not eating breakfast. You will certainly show a calorie deficit. Even if you don't your metabolic rate is such you are at a deficit, or else you would not be underweight, and no, it's not because you can't make fat. If that were the case you would have some terminal illness.
I would start with a simple, 3 meal plans, plus a milkshake. Most people need 2000 calories, so we will shoot for 800 calories for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner meals. If you eat more, great! But you have to eat at least 800 calories. So maybe you don't like cooking breakfast? Go get two Sausage and Egg McMuffins, boom, 900 Calories. Now figure something out for lunch and dinner, bob's your uncle you'll be over 2K. But then at night, you go crazy. Get heavy cream, ice cream, protein powder, maybe even peanut butter, make a shake with as many calories as you feel comfortable with. Drink it. This will be over 1K calories easily, and will take you over the daily goal by a long mile. This worked for me and works for a lot of those BBW pornstar feeder girls. If you want to get fat this is one of the easiest ways to pack it on comfortably short of sticking a tube down your throat and chugging cream like a foie gras goose.

how much physical activity do you get a day?
Im asking cuz i went my whole life thinking one day i'd just start getting bigger, as long as i kept eating right. Guess what, it doesnt happen unless you actively stress your muscles and bones. If you really want to gain weight, you should add exercise every day.
Other than that tho, you should be eating minimum of 3 eggs a day. I prefer 3 hardboiled eggs every morning as breakfast, makes it simple, trivial to prep, and highly nutritious which will last easily a couple hours. You can start adding that right away and simplify your gainz prep immediately, while figuring out what your exercise should be.
(do body weight stuff in your own room, countless exercise guides that will get you very fit without any equipment)

>trouble sleeping
almost guaranteed to be from low physical activity. if your body is tired and worn out, sleep comes very fast and easily. if it isn't happening, you need to tire and wear out your body more

I used to be like you. No meme shit is gonna work, you’re gonna have to either learn to cook or eat meals 3 times a day every day and also exercise so your metabolism ramps up and you feel hungry enough to eat. I went from 120 pounds skeleton to 180 15%~ bf in a couple years
