polish food is good, but whatever this is.. i don't want it. give me a big bowl of bigos, some potato pancakes with sour cream or applesauce, pierogi, and a sausage and i'd be happy.

your "friends" just dont like your "food" (sloppa)
polish cousine is so hearty and wholesome that a lot of jewish food is simply polish food with a different name
they excell at sausage and meat in general. they export tons of it
their version of schnitzel is less pretentious and more seasoned than its, german cousin
their women are hot but crazy
the stews and soups are a great mix of sour and hearty. they even got strawberry soup
polish pickles are great and go from mild to lip puckering
pierogi are probably the best euro dumpling version (as opposed to maultaschen from germany)

peak food, you just cant cook

>their version of schnitzel is less pretentious and more seasoned than its, german cousin
it's literally schnitzel made by people who don't know how to make schnitzel (it's pork, it's not pounded to make it thin and even)
>>
>>21908001
yeah because real schnitzel is made from veal and has its own frying technique and visual cues if you did it right

you still pound schabowy, just not as thin

Polish "pickles" are just marinated cucumbers. Way too raw for my liking.
Everything else you said is true, though can also be said about other slavic countries. Especially about the women. Though that applies to latinas as well.

Big fan of žurek. I usually let the rye starter go for a week because i love that sour flavor.
Interestingly, i recently discovered a thai dish called tom yum soup that has a very similar kind of sourness.

No, saying "marinated cucumber" is not the most accurate term for preserved cucumbers in a Polish or general culinary context. Marinating typically refers to briefly soaking foods (often meat, fish, or fresh vegetables) in an oil-, acid-, or herb-based mixture to flavor and tenderize before cooking, without long-term preservation.
Polish cucumbers are either lacto fermented or salt brined. You likely just had something that hasnt met your expectations/tastes

based Tom Yum enjoyer.
