Why the FUCK do restaurants keep forgetting items on my order. Its like every time I go someplace, it doesn't matter where it is. They always forget something from the order. Is this something they train the staff to do. Purposely leave out shit you paid for to save money? I am getting fed up.

Worse is half the time they have an attitude when I go back and politely mention how they got the wrong order like I should be climbing thru the window and kissing their feet for daring to even say anything
>>

Are you talking about restaurants or fast food?
>>21905629
The answer is probably they do not give a shit and are understaffed. The franchise owner probably doesn't give a shit either. They don't have to because people keep going

I have this happen too, my wife calls it the chef’s curse. I worked the line for ten years and it like karma wants to fuck me for every little mistake I made.
Once I ordered a NY strip with Diane sauce and got a rump with green peppercorn sauce. And two other occasions they completely forgot my order altogether. And that’s just the start.

This happened to me when I was being gangstalked a decade ago. It's a very subtle way to mess with you and make you feel even more paranoid about broader forces conspiring against you. Do you think you're a targeted individual? Only say what you're comfortable saying, no pressure.

I like to think I can trust these people to do their jobs correctly and put everything in the bag. If they can't even do that right then why bother employing them. Just give me a fucking robot already these people don't deserve jobs. I understand the CEO's now. The average person is inefficient, lazy and is easily distracted.

THIS. If you EVER come back to a venue that screws you over, you are the simp and deserve what happens to you. There are a TON of food options, move the fuck on and get better service.
This is also why you should /cook/ because you will radiate confidence when out at eateries - they will sense that you do not need them, they need you, and will serve you properly, or never see you again. Because if you can't say no to enshitification means you are trapped in an abusive relationship.

It's not average people working at fast food.
If they paid better, and staffed appropriately instead of banking on being at least one man down, maybe they would get average people to stay employed there.
They don't want that though, because they know you'll just keep going back anyway.
Maybe stop going to those fast food places..?

I guarantee you that you order like a mongoloid and that's why they always fuck up your order. Everyone wants to blame the restaurant, but I've heard enough retards in drive throughs who cannot speak a coherent sentence.
>>

Items they forget show up on the damn receipt. So you are saying they fuck up people's orders on a whim if they don't like they way they speak? Fire these assholes.
I even order things online that I drive to pick up that have things missing.

What do you mean, like you order something off the menu and make a substitution or ask for something extra and it comes out wrong? You could probably just send it back but honestly ime when you try to mess with what's on the menu it's going to get fucked up unless it's like an allergy thing.

>Go to 'Classic' McD's (well before the cafe bullshit)
>Get order and sit down
>Fuck, got medium instead of large fries
>Go to counter and tell employee
>He goes and gets a large, doesn't take the medium I already have
>Holding it below counter casually, another employee walks up
>Can I help you
>Yeah I got the wrong size fries, bu-
>Oh okay *runs off to grab more fries*
>Walks past first employee on his way back
>First employee hands me large fries
>Thank him and hold it out of view as he walks away
>5 fucking seconds later
>Second employee hands me large fries
>Sit back down with my two and a half fries
>"Mennnnnnnnnnn"
It's actually quite simple really.

I went to a shrimp house. I Order 3 piece fish, rice and coleslaw. I like to mix the rice with the coleslaw and put it on top of the fish. Only this time they forget the damn coleslaw. The one part of the meal that gives the food some seasoning. It effectively ruined my meal and my night. You even pay for 2 sides the whole meal was 15.99. They pretty much ripped me off for $3 forgetting an entire side. It was a single meal too. Not like I ordered a whole bunch of shit. These people working either don't care or are incompetent and shouldn't be working.

when turnover is high the chances are high you'll end up employing some massively introverted kid and needing to keep him since he actually shows up
not only are they fresh to jobs, they're fresh to the entire world
some of them really cannot think of the right thing to do or say and default to just hunching into a phone
like i shouldn't need to tell you every single say when there's tickets pouring out of the machine, an entire lobby of people are staring at us, to get the fuck off your fucking phone and do something to help out
but really where are they even getting the motivation, because when they are this useless we only can put them on the most retarded tasks i don't have time for at any given moment
so yes the retards are bagging your order, forgetting to put literally everything on the ticket into the bag and handing it to you because markiplier isn't in the corner of that ticket telling them what to do and i'm too busy to do anything about it
>>
I got into the habit of not making special orders when I went out to eat, to try and make it as thoughtless as possible for them
>make it precisely how you were trained to
then I had the epiphany of "why am I even going out to eat if I'm not ordering what I actually enjoy?" so I stopped going to restaurants.

You just realized that? Most of them think they are the smartest people in the room because they have some obsessive, autistic knowledge about esoteric shit, but if you hang out with medical professionals you learn that most of them obsess over the same five or ten themes.

Oh shut the fuck up. It happens to everyone all the time and nobody gives a shit, it's that simple. Industry workers live FAR harder lives than you can even IMAGINE; drop your fucking ego and act like a normal fucking person.
Get over yourself. And that goes to everyone else too ITT saying OP should go out of his way to ruin someone's life over what is essentially just a part of the game, chill the fuck out.

Are you getting items delivered by a 3rd party like Door Dash, if so haha, good luck. You can call the restaurant and maybe they realize their mistake, but it's far better to go there and check an order before leaving. If it's about condiments, don't put that in your original order, just get it added while you watch.
Same thing with drivethrus, check through the bag before pulling forward, ask a question of them if needed, and if your order it quite large, go inside, where you can unpack it at the counter, not the drive thru.
>>
If it's fast food it's faster and better to go inside and just say hey, you forgot this can I please get one. I usually don't bother if they forget small shit like sauce packets unless it's some special limited time sauce or something. For actual restaurants I usually go to places close to me so if I come home and got the wrong item I'm like 10 minutes away so I'll just show them what I got ans they're like shit we gave you the wrong order. This is your order and let me keep the wrong one as well so free food.
Just don't be an autistic sperg and they'll usually fix it for you
>>

>go inside, where you can unpack it at the counter
complaining abt missing items to underpaid service workers is already karen behavior enough, this is just going straight into psychpath mode ngl
to anyone reading this, please DO NOT FUCKING DO THIS, you'll survive your order not being 100% correct, but service workers may very well NOT survive if they get fired and lose their housing because you are entitled af

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with correcting a messed up order, fucking drama queen
>>21911197
Again
Fucking drama queen
>>
>>21911238
There's nothing wrong with that. If it's a big order it's understandable if they might miss one small item. Just don't go screaming about how they messed up your order, I want to talk to your manager etc. That would be Karen behavior. A simple hey, you forgot this can you give it to me. Thanks. Bye. Is perfectly normal
