He sounds arrogant for asking how to cook restaurant or good quality food?
>Anyone who asks a question like that clearly doesn't know how to cook.
That's why he's asking how to cook things of good quality. God you're an insufferable faggot and your comments have contributed nothing to this thread.

It resembles the actual product though.
The point of a promotional picture is to show you what is on the sandwich, not to show you what it's gonna look when you unwrap it.
This is a concept I was able to grasp when I asked my mom about it when I was 5, are you autists literally less capable of logically understanding things than me when I was 5?
Is there an entire economy out there that is literate enough to write an article about it, smart enough to take pictures of it and motivated enough to go through with their idea that isn't smart enough to understand fast food photography?
Too much autism in mainstream culture. The problem of the internet is since so much of programming is done by autistic people, the structure becomes functionally autistic.
Shit like algorithms is a great example and the emergence of influencers is a sign of how it is beginning to have sway over culture.
But these articles are great example of autistic thought getting too much credit.
Most people understand what I understood at 5, but autists look at it and go "my precious BK Whopper looks nothing like the picture up there, it should be vibrant and colorful, not plain!!!"

bro those burgers on the right are just as doctored up as the advertised one. I swear they go to the worst possible BK in the ghetto or some shit and fucking sit on it so it looks all smooshed up.
pic is what they actually look like anytime I've ever gotten one. doesn't look like the ad but it doesn't look like the comically bad ones they put in OP

Well in JAPAN they require the food to resemble the ads, so you're wrong. There's no reason why any other country couldn't require this.

>sister worked at a chain making burgers for a while
>one day I bought ingredients so we can make some at home for a family reunion
>while I grill she puts the burgers together
>her first burger look like far left in the pic
>but as soon as she finishes the burger she presses it down with her hands
>they end looking like far right in the pic
>I ask her why the fuck is she pressing them down
>she looks confused
>apparently that's how you are supposed to make burgers

where does it say this in plain english on the advertisement?
I'm not reading the rest of that bootlicking

I can't wait till the jeets open their own american-style fast food franchises.

It doesn't, but it's implied by society.
Social implications are something autistic people have trouble grasping.
Nobody wants their pickles sticking out of the burger, they should always be more towards the center, but someone who doesn't like pickles needs to see the pickles to say "and no pickles" and so on.

Had a Whopper yesterday through the app. A meal (burger, small fry, small drink) cost me $9.61. OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced. The burger sucked but the fries were good. I don't think this is a location thing, the patty itself was simply pathetic. The one good thing I can say about it is that it sated me for a time.

Sounds like the real whopper is the price!
>>
The real story behind fast food price inflation is the price of drinks. It costs literally less than $1 to stock a drink machine with the necessary sugary dispensary on the daily. Why the fuck am I paying $3 for something that costs $0.001 with my meal? It's pure greed.

Wonder if that's why when McDonald's did a video of their food stylist (yes, that's a real job) setting up food for an advertisement, it was McDonald's Canada that was used instead of the US people.
The excuse McDonald's used was that it's important to style the burgers to where you can see all of the ingredients easily in case you have food allergies.
>>
>>
>>21908060
>advertisements use fake stand ins for setting the lighting, focus, and whatever. but they are required in the US to use the actual and edible food in the final picture.
no they aren't you fucking retard. do you think they have some FCC agent watching everything and tasting props to be sure they're real?
unless they have an actor eating it, its always some kind of fake/preserved/inedible prop designed to look like the most visually appealing version of the product while also not deteriorating or melting under studio lights or attracting insects during filming.

>>21908286
When I worked at BK, we were never instructed to smush the Whopper or any other sandwich but when you wrap them in paper wrap, you're told to do it tightly to keep the heat and moisture in the burger. That naturally smushes the burger. I guess you could request your Whopper be made without being wrapped though that never happened when I worked there.
>>
>>21908333
It's obviously a self serving excuse but allergies for pretty much every food do exist in some small segment of the population. It would be stupid of them to rely on a photo of the food to decide if it was going to kill them or not.
>>
>>
>>21907900
>when I asked for Burgers built exactly as big as the ones in the ads
Nigger, employees are doing a hard job already, what the fuck do you want them to do? Go watch a YouTube video of how fast food's made, the employees take frozen pieces, cook them and put them together. And they have to do it very fast, in about a minute or 2 or they'll lose their job
>You didn't make the burger like I wanted
Nigger crybaby behavior. Go to a fancy restaurant if you want elegance, not a fast food restaurant.
>>
>>21907900
How sheltered do you have to be to freak out that food doesn't look as good as in advertisements. Thought it was common knowledge how much they pretty up for commercials. Remember a magazine I had as a kid explaining all the tricks they used to make those advertisements

>The point of a promotional picture is to show you what is on the sandwich, not to show you what it's gonna look when you unwrap it.
I dunno why you think it couldn't be both. They still try to make things look better than they actually are without needing to show various ingredients. It seems like you just realized that there's multiple reasons for something and now you think you're the smartest person alive.

when i worked in food i did make it a point to make the products look as attractive as possible. i liked to sell what i would like to eat. i had all these tricks i trained people to make the food look less shit. when you're on the delivering end of this it's kind of obvious why nobody does it, it's an entirely thankless gesture. you only ever hear about it when the food looks like shit or the order is wrong, and therefore the real goal becomes not wanting to hear complaints because i don't need to hear that shit.

A platform could be to ensure ice (which are probably acrylic) is seen or if the drink contains something like cut fruit, that it appears breaking the surface when in reality the fruit would settle on the bottom.
>>
>>
>>21907900
They legally get away with this in the advertising pictures because they stack all of the ingredients on one side, to make it extra tall for the photo. It contains the same allotted amount of ingredients, captured at "its best angle", which is only fair
heh

>get my money
This is sad to read. It's like you're open about being addicted to it, and if only you could produce it at home you wouldn't have to pay. But you need it.
That's fucked up. I really wish there was some way to help you people. I guess you're not able to think your way out of it. Maybe if you approach it like other kinds of addictions you could break the cycle.
>>
>>21908046
That's not true. There are some food stylists who pride themselves on adhering to that principle, but by no means is there any law or regulation about it. I saw a show where they were making hot drink bubbles with soap and milk to drip off of a spoon for a cereal ad using Elmer's glue.
And even if it were real food, you wouldn't ever eat it. It's stuff that doesn't melt fast under hot cameras. Like lard 'ice cream'.

Why doesn’t my burger get hard anymore?
I’m a 22F and he’s a whopper. For like a month now he hasn’t been very interested in lunch and I do most of the initiating and sometimes he’s even turned me down with the complaint that he’s tired. I’d take his words for what they are but it just doesn’t make sense. He used to get hard from simply hugging me without trying to and always did when we were in bed together. We had lunch all the time regardless of where we were and he was usually the initiator just because he wanted to do it so often I never really had to initiate except on occasion.
Now he’ll tease me throughout the day but then never get hard or want to have lunch when we go to bed and we actually can. We cuddle, which I love, but I can’t shake the feeling that somethings wrong that he doesn’t seem to want to have lunch very much at all anymore and I don’t seem to get him hard even when I’m laying right next to him. I don’t know what to do or what’s going on in his head. I brought it up to him the other day and he just told me I’m just overthinking it and he loves my body but it’s not getting better and it’s a complete 180 from how it used to be. What can I do?

Anyone who constantly complains about shitty fast food probably lives in a shit area. I can't even watch fucking review brah anymore. Dude is just getting shit constantly and has nothing but bad reviews. Outside of the occasional bad experience I haven't had a problem with BK or really any fast food in years.
>>
>>21907900
This is interesting because I got a whopper from BK for the first time in my life and it was like $10. I thought to myself how the fuck a fast food burger can cost this much and they gave me a hot freshly cooked heavy ass burger. Only ate half and gave the rest to my son.
Anyway that’s a long way of saying I didn’t experience OPs pic

Just went to BK and this is the burger I got 5 minutes ago. Definitely one of the best looking burgers I've gotten from fast food in a long time. It's funny this thread goes up not long after mcdicks announced their new burger. Probably a lot of mcshills itt
Texas double whopper btw
10/10 would recommend
Still better than anything McDonald's has ever dreamed of doing

I like my own coffee more than 90% of places
Same with a lot of soups, stir fried dishes, and things I do with chicken/beef. The hardest part about burgers imo is just the proportions, you don't want it so big it's spilling out the sides when you take a bite. Hard to imagine the buns need to be so big in that regard. Also, making a good sauce requires some research. But once you realize your own cooking is better, and not just healthier or cheaper it's the best feeling. Its a time investment like any hobby. Great way to take a break from the screens.

both BK burgers and McDs quarter pounders never have completely-melted cheese, which makes it good enough to peel off sometimes

>Too much autism in mainstream culture.
Buddy, you're confused. Algorithms and influencing are specifically intended to manipulate dumb normalfag psychology. "OMG FAMOUS RICH PERSON SAID I MUST LIKE THIS THING SO I WILL NOW LIKE IT" is the epitome of normoid cognition and literally the exact opposite of how autists think. It is the direct product of normies flooding the Internet, who were then followed by companies trying to make money off them and thus turning the net into the hellscape it is today. Eat shit.
