Mushroom-and-Swiss is an extremely common combination for burgers, dafuq are you on about?

Nor LTO.

Patty melt with fried onion, American and cheddar, the sandwich fried in the burger's own grease.

Just because there is no mushroom in the pic doesn't invalidate the fact that Swiss is a perfectly acceptable cheese on a burger. As was pointed out already, the pic lacks lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and condiments, too. Doesn't mean they don't exist.
It's like how you're [presumably] not gargling 37 cocks right now as you get DP'd by two more. You're still an enormous faggot, regardless just as mushroom and Swiss is still a common burger.

American cheese is fine on a burger, but if anything else is less than $1.50 more, I'm probably going with that. I'd take danablu over kraft, and it's basically the kraft of blue cheeses.
Bacon - if not raw or burned to a crisp - is also a fine addition to a burger. Grilled onion's fine, but I tend to prefer raw with beef. I'm good with most toppings (except the sweet radioactive relish - there are good relishes so I don't know why everyone goes with Heinz Hospital Disinfectant Syrup)
The bread's job is to provide me with a handle. As long as it's not falling apart, gigantic, rock hard, or otherwise obnoxious, it's well within range of what I want out of it.
No lettuce? No raw onion? Pickle? Tomato? Ketchup? Mustard? The things that usually come in a 'fully loaded' burger? Fried egg and avocado but no beetroot? Swiss but no blue or even mozzarella (which is a terrible choice for a burger, but still)?
This image was created to divide us along lines that don't really exist. Open your eyes, my brothers, and see that we are one in our love of protein on a bun in far more meaningful ways than we could ever be repulsed by another's choice of protein or topping.
