This chart is ass.
>5, 9, and 14 are just ways of serving any fries
>12 is just any cut but sweet potatoes instead
>"cottage fries" included but not the more standard, uncorrigated, rounds
>17 and 18 are just weird gimmick shit
>wtf even is 16?
All that before we address the most glaring issue being that TATER TOTS AREN'T FUCKING FRIES.
>>
>somehow cheese fries are ranked above chili cheese fries
>no seasoned fries
>no beluga caviar fries drizzled in 1,000-year-old black truffle oil with a side of 18k edible gold leaf

Food republic is owned by Static Media, a Media conglomerate funded by Mark Cuban. Also owns the Bourdain brand. The way they work is they hire scraper bots to scan the entire internet for cooking info, mostly on blogs with little or poor security. They rehash whatever they find automatically and present it as "new info".

As a result you get the Karen blogs (sweet potato fries), the mom blogs (my kid likes smileys), pommes souffleés (should have the extra e) etc etc. But you don't get the pomme Pont-Neuf, the original Parisian French fry. You need to have half a brain to write about that one.

99% of what's out there right now is scrapers scraping scraped sites. It's been like that since 2012-2015. There are very few good cooking sites nowadays. That's what AI has been training on all along (and it's not making the really big money behind AI happy).

most of the internet is fake news/ai slop bullshit now. it's one of the reasons I still come here. even though there's still bullshit like in OP there's a least a little bit of human connection to still be had (I hope)
