God did establish grains, plants and fruit as our diet prior to the fall, but the fall introduced death, and through death, the consumption of animals for survival. The Lord in thr Gospels celebrates the passover, and the passover requires the consumption of a lamb with bitter herbs. Then we got Jesus towards the end of the Gospel of John at the shore with roasted fish, waiting for His Disciples to see Him and rejoice. We even see the Lord make outfits for both Adam and Eve out of skins (animals obviously), whereas they made for themselves outfits out of fig leaves.

Jesus Christ made all foods good to eat. And the Law of Moses has laws in respect to what is considered a valid death in order to consume an animal.

Also, don't forget. While these brutally slaughtered animals may not be offerings to false gods, the Apostle Paul touches on the idea to not worry the processes of which your food came from. Thats not to say be indifferent to the quality. However, looking back, I dont think quality of meats and produce was ever an issue. Everything was naturally organic and grain fed. No pesticides, no nonsense. The Israelites even had laws to respect the land they grow on, and to even give the land a year of rest after 6 years of work. But realistically, it's nothing to worry about.
