Also I made the South African fudge from earlier, it's good
I didn't have golden syrup so I substituted maple syrup and added a couple shakes of cream of tartar to make invert sugar
So I guess it was South Africanadian fudge

I wanna try the slow cooker method at some point, you just fill a crockpot up to the top with onions, butter, and salt the night before and set it to keep warm, supposedly you get a nice pot of browned onions by the next day
