What is kimchi doing that sauerkraut isn't?

I don't like kimchi because it smells like rotten fish and hot sauce mixed together. I'm really sad there isn't a more inoffensive version of kimchi that is much more like sauerkraut and vegetarian (if it isn't already?) it's just such a painful overpowering horrible stink and flavor that I couldn't keep it in my mouth, let alone avoid almost throwing up just from sniffing a container, and I actually enjoy toast with avocado and raw garlic on it.

All raw fermented plant matter (Seeds/Legumes, Leaves, Fruits/Berries, Roots/Tubers, Stems/Bulbs/Flowers) will have not only immune benefits but also anti-inflammatory effects, enhanced nutrient bioavailability, gut microbiome diversity, antioxidant protection, and metabolic support.

Tasting good

Sauerkraut just tastes like vinegar. It sucks. Kimchi is the improved version.
German sausages or pork knuckle with kimchi is a great combination

That's way too expensive, it's at least 3-4$ less for a jar where I am

I love kimchi. Just had some the other night.

Sauerkraut is based too. I also have it regularly.

When you say "Korea" you are referring to South Korea, correct?

>Sauerkraut just tastes like vinegar
Wut? Sauerkraut is a product of lactic fermentation, there's no vinegar used in the process.

Yes although I think Mr. Kim just named a young lady to be next supreme leader. I’d be shocked if she doesn’t eventually team up with the 8 dragon-LARP empresses to make life for men absolutely horrendous at every possible juncture. Fuck, she’ll do it with even less laws and accountability, somehow.
