Based thread idea
> pros: food is not overpriced
The place this came from charges $15 for a personal sized pepperoni pizza, $17 for spaghetti and meatballs

The most common complaint in McDonald's reviews here is people who ordered No Pickles but got pickles anyway. These people really hate pickles and instead of just picking them off they return and demand a new sandwich. The best is when they post a photo of their receipt which says No Pickles next to the burger showing the pickles inside.
I dunno it just makes me laugh how angry pickles makes them

For a long time a lot of pickles were preserved with sodium metabisulfite which can make people sick
But I doubt most of the anti-pickle crowd is sulfite-sensitive
The real reason people ask for no pickles is because they don't want a pre-made burger, they want their burger made to-order nice and hot

I love pickles, I just don't like the nasty, slimy, limp, sour (((pickles))) that mcdonalds, chickfila and other fast food places use.
Give me a real pickle like on a popeyes sandwich and I can't get enough.

pickles irrevocably contaminate a burger with their presence. it's not simply a matter of picking them off. the surrounding ingredients will retain a subtle hint of pickle after removal. if you do not like pickle flavor this is completely unacceptable. that's why. it's not a meme and not a joke.

Let me put it another way. Say you cannot stand mayonnaise and order a burger with stipulation that no mayonnaise is to be added. Say you receive a burger with mayonnaise and return it to the counter to complain. The cashier takes your burger back and emerges a moment later with your replacement. You open the burger to find it's the exact same one, that the kitchen staff had simply scraped the mayo off the bun.

I get it, the juice contaminates the burger. If you hate that taste you can still detect it.
But I don't understand even eating at McDonald's if you hate pickles. Pickles are a signature part of their taste since day one.
I get extra pickles
