The only thing that makes sense is that someone is intentionally and consistently paying to keep that building vacant most of the time and to keep that computer running. There's no believable world, real or fictional, where a company accidentally leaves a computer on for 30 years. Who was Ragatha with when she put on the headset? C&A luring a new mind into the circus? Why do they keep it abandoned? Hoping people just wander in and put it on? That would be awfully risky, someone could just steal or destroy the whole system, which would honestly be worth billions or trillions of dollars. If that's the case, why not style it as a humble museum of basic computer science history and hide what it really is? Get all the mind scans they want, curate the new entries more directly. I just can't figure out what's really going on, I'm not sure if Gooseworx really put any thought into this aspect, but I hope he did.

It's been barely 21 years in the show since Caine was made. If we go with the SOMA theory then that means C&A continued to exist in some form after '99 when the first batch of humans landed in the Circus. For all we know the building's only been abandoned for a few years by the time Pomni found it.

If it's SOMA then the easiest answer is that for some reason they didn't notice Caine ate the blue AI. Which isn't a very satisfying answer but I really don't think we're going to get an explanation for any of this outside of Kinger maybe confirming *what* exactly they are and why they can't leave.

Well, it's possible. Caine could have processed all the mind files he's gotten over the years and just generated a new one based on all their data. Her entire backstory could be a fabrication of Caine's incredible world building skills, just like Gummigoo. When she arrives in the circus, he says it "appears" that a new human has entered this realm. He says humans aren't relatable sculpting material, then says Pomni is the relatability he's been looking for. Pomni may actually be Caine's daughter. She may be his secret successor. Or he may have created her and then confused her for a real human, somehow, which is something he presented early on as a real possibility. The Digital Circus could be running in something completely different from what we think it's running in.

I don't believe it. I think the final shot of the pilot affirms Pomni is actually real and got copied into the Digital Circus. But that could have just been a lie or in Pomni's imagination, your theory IS possible.

Fucking hell, it's not that complex. It starts by focusing on Pomni and then it shifts to Jax with Pomni still in the lead with him.

I don't really follow but I feel like Toy Story is an example where you can say both Buzz and Woody are the main characters (though I agree that from what I remember Woody is usually the one driving the plot) and that it can't be compared to the Jax thing.

I am debating if I should email this locally owned theater if they can box this movie, mostly because I hope they can make a lot of money off this film.

Don't disagree this is primarily a greed thing, but "we made millions of dollars from a global movie release" is an infinitely more powerful bargaining chip for future media release than "we have a successful youtube series and a netflix deal". Not going to get mad at Glitch for expanding and getting traction as an animation studio, I'm not going to drop them at the end of TADC, bigger audience and more reach is ultimately going to help future shows.

How is Jax a main character? He has less focused episodes than Kinger and hes less relevant to Caine too. It just his resolve episode was left at the end instead of middle like Gangle and Zooble. The only imbalance is with Ragatha who should had been given episode 6 as her own issues with her mom and Pomni. She was robbed. But main characters are pomni and kinger.

I think it's less about greed and more about survival. Glitch's other shows aren't blowing up like TADC did, so getting as much cash as you reasonably can now helps keep them in business longer. Jax is a major focus in most of the episodes (compare his screen time and function in ep4 to that of Ragatha or Zooble), is a key part of all of their merch, and has become part of the brand's face, similar to Pomni. Even the movie's poster is Jax-themed.
