I mean, you're kind of missing the ENTIRE point of what I said by a complete fucking mile, but you do have a point regardless.
Ai images were fun to dick around with just for the hell of seeing "Hey, what would they look like in this, or that," (such as img provided) but it gets very boring very fast.
It's definitely the first of what you mentioned, that it struggles to comprehend and capitalize on the features like an artist (well, a small percentage anyway) would in order to create something interesting. The other issue is that it's bland, often gets it wrong, and those two are if it doesn't just hit you with a random content control.
It's a neat little toy for a bit, but it's hardly anything that beats actually drawing it all directly.
Really, the only explicitly, 100% always bad use I could say would be the asses that trace AI (often badly) and claim it as their own.

what are the open source tracking options or ones with mod support?

it would require lots of programming but my idea was-
1: each person controls 1 head and neck
2: both get 50% control of the body (it averages between the two)
3: fake “collision” so you can’t clip into the other’s head
4: if one of them can’t make it to the stream, put a paper bag over their head lol

it might be easier to do this in 3D with Unreal or something, but i’ve never used a true 2D vtuber model before so I wouldn’t know

A vTuber with two torsos would probably be better for co-op games in general.

Seems like there’s a two-headed hottie in a new Chinese gacha game. Not much information yet, seems like planned release is early 2027. I only found Chinese articles talking about it and whatever people pulled from BiliBili on X.

It’s called Lucid Eclipse. The characters are based on Chinese folklore, the “Legend of the White Snake.” Making the green and white snakes a two-headed woman however is new.

Definitely keeping my eye on this one.
