I see a lot of stupid fights here whether keto makes you lean or fat. As someone who did it for 2 years (then quit), let me clarify it for you:

Keto is a weight **normalization** diet, not a weight loss diet. Many fat people lose their appetite in ketosis and end up eating 800 kcal/day until they reach a human body fat level (sub 20%).

When you're sub-15% body fat, ketosis will probably not kill your appetite. On the contrary, the high calorie density of fatty foods will make it easier to overeat.

So does keto work? Yes, if you're fat. No if you're already lean.

When I ate carnivore to satiety, I leveled out around 15% body fat. It's decent when you don't want to track food or be hungry ever.

I felt literally zero difference to a high carb diet. And it has significant downsides: You are less flexible and have less foods to enjoy.

I still think we aren't supposed to eat high-carb every day.

im on day 4 of Keto and i feel like all im eating is a majority of leafy greens, combined with a mix of bacon, eggs, a little bit of cheese and a big protein for breakfast, dinner, and lunch. its been only 4 days so i'm really going to stick to it and see where it goes. i mean whats unhealthy about eating greens eggs and protein and some fat? i dont think fat is bad for you at all. do i crave carbs for sure but i feel like the stronger the craving the closer i am to reaching ketosis.

Nothing really. Most ketards don't eat any vegetables and use it as an excuse to gorge on butter. When I did it in the past as I got to lower bodyfat my workouts suffered. Added some carbs around my lifts and things improved. GL anon
