>the workout you were doing for ages was actually being done incorrectly
is there a case of this happening to you that was especially devastating?

pushups
for a year I was fucking my wrists by doing them at such a weird angle trying to parse everyones elbow placement advice that I actually broke one

Do you need mommy to count your tendies calories too?

Sorta did HIT with ~10 sets a week and higher frequency didn't rotate lifts.
Wasn't devastating but it burnt me out a lot quicker and made trackable progress harder. I still do HIT some training blocks but not others but I've had to learn patience with almost every kind of training I've done.

I mean... even if you do some exercise with suboptimal form or something, it's still better than doing nothing. Unless you snap your shit of course.
>mfw doing upright rows with too much weight fucked up my right shoulder

If you were making progress and getting stronger, and it didn't cause any injury then it's irrlevant -And it is irrelevant. Because if you weren't getting stronger, and you weren't making progress, and it was causing injury, then you wouldn't have kept doing it the way you were for ages

Kinda going through this right now. On pec fly I can do over 150+lbs, on weighted dips I can do 220 with ease. But my chest press is stalled at 130 and it makes zero sense to me. Everyone at the gym has offered input but no matter how In position my elbows/hands nothing works.

I have a hard time keeping my traps out of it. What did you do differently?

lower weight, sets of 15-30 (yeah I know), stopping before my arms are parallel with the floor, making sure that I am doing the motion slowly and controlled.
Huge ego blow to go from doing 30s to doing 10s

>barbell rows while losing weight and progressing overload at the same
>unable to sleep after a double shift because of how much my back hurt

pushups. let my gut sag for years. look like a fat retard. now that I do them in proper plank it feels like shit and I can do a fraction of the amount of them
>>
>>77206932
basically everyone ive found is ego lifting to where it produces a tremendous amount of stress leading to injury
>>
squats, doing it even at thigh parallel with floor level is difficult as fuck for me
