>time for gym is coming up
>immediately flooded by thoughts of excuses for why I shouldnt go tonight
>"just skip tonight and go tomorrow morning" (deep down I know I wont go tomorrow morning)
>just dont go whats the harm in missing 1 night
>push through the thoughts and go gym anyway
>1 hour 20 mins later, going back to the car
>had a great workout, constant progressive overloads etc, body is sore and pumped
>so fucking glad I went to the gym that I could cry
>rinse and repeat every fucking time
when do the excuses stop, cant I just like going to the gym before and after instead of JUST after

>didn't want to go to the gym today, had an exhausting day at work and got home late to boot

Must've been a cosmic attaboy from the universe, WAGMI fellas, stay strong.
In all seriousness though, I've been going to the gym for about 5 years now, and I have that conversation with myself at least once a week. I'm ashamed to say that voice does win sometimes, but I always feel bad about it afterwards, whereas if I ignore it and go anyways, I'm always glad I did it. If you want to achieve a goal, you gotta put in the work, even on days where it's the LAST thing you wanna do.
