I’m currently unemployed and yeah im spending a lot of time just walking
I figure I’m gonna miss it when I am no longer NEET. So I’m trying to get as much time out as i can.
I feel ya brah
I would hate to walk on a time crunch.

I was averaging 15 miles for most of the Appalachian trail, no idea what my step count was
In my experience those calories counters cannot be trusted.
I did 22miles with like 6k ft± in a day to do from Mt jackson to the bottom of Mt Madison.
If you took the calories counters advice it would have been like 8k calories.
My average expenditure would have been like 5k according to those apps
But my weight plateaued roughly right at 155 despite eating 2500k±800 calories a day. (Starting weight was 175)
(Tbf after for several weeks my sweat smelled like ammonia until I realized I needed more food.)
Anyway, yea I would just take those things with a grain of salt, just subtract 25% from whatever number it gives you and you're probably close to reality

True. The calories thing. I’ve been hitting my goals and I haven’t lost much weight, my cardio has gone through the roof!
But I’ve been doing this for a over a month straight and have only lost about 5-6 lbs
It could be a diet thing, I’m gonna have to dial that in and see what happens

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of earbuds now that allow ambient sounds, I do get wanting to hear the world though as when I'm alone I just walk with nothing in my ears but now I walk and talk with my gf

Happened in the dc area and literally thought people were following me so not half wrong. Got arrested then released outside the pentagon under one of the highways near pentagon city, and caught an assault and battery charge at one of the Alexandria metro stations
Turns out I’m bipolar

Does anyone else wear weighted backpacks? Walk around with this on, it weighs maybe 20-35lbs when I load it up with water and snacks, and anytime I want to practice my disc shots along the way I can.
I think walking with a weighted pack is the best, especially up hills
Just make sure you bring healthy snacks if you get tired along the way so you can make it home.
