No it doesn't. It's totally normal for DB benching to be more difficult than BB. Your shoulders are in a completely different position and your press isn't locked together by a bar. Your DB bench will only be as strong as your weakest side.

Being retarded. You see him doing only negative in the video so he probably loaded way more than he can lift , had someone help him get it up, tried controlled negative and his tendon just snapped. What's worse it doesn't look like a lot based on the size of his bicep he should be able to lift that easily like 15 times. I doubt it's a 1 rep max attempt because weight seems to low for him, but I never did those so I have no idea. Maybe it's really some roid thing because based on my knowledge this shouldn't be happening

Roids grow muscles faster than tendons - the repair surgery is brutal.

The way to train tendons is isometric heavy holds, and most armwrestling exercises (often isometric or low rom).
I am like 3times thinner than the guy in the gif, and my arms look unimpressive dyel level, but i can curl 1plate with ease. However i usually train arms as accessory to other lifts, biceps directly only with light EZ bar curls and hammer curls, and heavy holds (which usually are just full stack on cables, lift up (use legs if need) and just hold, once it gives , just use legs to lower, dont hold till the lowest point.
I dont do armwrestling as sport but the few time ive tried even athletes have complemented my strong arm, meaning my tendons have grown thick and durable

distal bicep tears are easy to inflict on yourself, you don't even feel any pain or discomfort before it snaps.
i had one doing one handed dragon flag and didn't even notice it happened until i looked at my bicep al saw it can't flex
