Don't let the faggots convince you otherwise. Improvement is always good. Great job, Anon.

Since it took a decade, could you outline your struggles for us? Maybe we could all learn a lesson from you.

You'll learn how hard ohp is to progress after leaving your beginner gains stage anon, keep at it.

yes, though I got stronger in other lifts I just didn't train OHP consistently during this period

I never commited properly to progressive overload, I just surfed newbie gains until around 60kg for 5RM. I didn't program properly and just kept going with 5RM but couldn't seem to progress - also got injured and was out of the gym for some periods only doing bodyweight training (corona).
I broke the plateau by intentionally increasing intensity and always going for 10RM every session with two working sets. I also did the same for bench press which I think was the main contributor to getting stronger in the OHP; I also did a shit ton of weighted dips with the same programming (current 10RM is +60kg added at 86kg bodyweight).
I tried doing 60kg again and was pretty effortlessly able to hit 7 reps.

your are projecting your own insecurities, my life outside of the gym has been awesome ever since I moved away from home at 19.
