I've found the following does a pretty decent job of reducing file size and retaining quality:

pngout.exe /b128 /k0 /c6 /f5 /s2 /v /y $1

You typically post the same desktop setup with video and images filled with a lot of details, so JPEG is a more fitting filetype. Actually surprised it bothers you enough to comment on it.

nix package manager on debian, this is not my main laptop, its my "fuck around with shit" laptop. I main nixos on my workstation and main laptop.
nix is packaged in debian but I installed it with the upstream install script. its handy to have a few very up-to-date packages on a very stable system like debian.
the hyprland dev said on twitter a while back that they officially support and package with nix for those who want to use a stable distro so i decided to try it out. been surprised by how well it works.
