Remove everything from recommended and add KZ EDX Pro until it's published how you would go about testing this yourself.

Reasons to equalize your pos:
1. Take full advantage of planar magic, cvj luki
2. You can listen to Moondrop Stellaris and TRN ST7
3. Attain perfection on your PEQ'd $5 shitbud, why buy anything else?
4. Fight back against chinks using Harm Man as acoustic weaponry
5. Counter bright recordings by adjusting the brightness and darkness of your pos to comfort level.
6. Free (You)s on /iemg/
7. Serves as a foundation for other DSPs/VSTs, upsampling, convolution, etc. when increasing techs
Be sure to take care when boosting (or leaving alone) high frequencies or you'll be deafer than Deafzo. Equalize responsibly.
>When you have an annoying peak somewhere, you can use a narrow-band filter on it, but do it with your ears. Listen some things: pink noise for example. And you will hear some hissing things somewhere where it shouldn't hiss, and then take that out, locate that frequency with a parametric equalizer and try to make the pink noise sound pink again. That's the way to do it.
EQ guide vindicated.
Autoeq, squig, owliophile, sharur, graphic EQ users annihilated.

Probably Quedlix 5K which is the most expensive item out there is already worth it. I couldn't find a good listing for the coupler the one linked doesn't ship to Europe also you don't have to use his affiliate links if you find better deals locally and some of those are just generic. IC-100 has the best sounding bass from anything I own. I'd assume IG-955, IC-100 are the same with any differences in sound coming from unit variation. He will say it's different so you click his affiliate still you should be wary of fakes(most common with IG-955) and the amazon listing is a good bet if it's cheap compared to other options. IC-100 is probably the most available but it's non DSP usb-c. Both of those other options are braided cloth instead of plastic down from the split.
>>108235480
I'd rather use a metal shell IEM after reading about this, SpinFit W1 is already good. Samsung had other sets in the red sections.
It's accidentally better inverted cable around-ear than IEMs designed to be worn around-ear. It goes against the canal sort of instead of into it so there's less occlusion without being full open-back sort of like a small speaker in your ear and the driver configuration is similar to that found in small speakers. Is there anything even close to this in metal form
>>
>>
>>108238743
*high-end speakers
I considered ER2XR before but I really don't care about isolation long term, plus it's way too overpriced and suffers from the same issues(unit variation, lower THD which it's because it's BA so it's a pass) as "lower-end" IEMs and the plastic cable using a proprietary which looks same as those cables that come with infinite warranty Koss headphones probably really expensive to replace with nylon/metal-braided cable on an already overpriced set.
To fit decent eartips that are comfortable you'd have to get an adapter from another eartip e.g. Final Audio E which doesn't ship to Europe unless you pay half of it as shipping. Final Audio also has some metal-bullets but they're all open-back AFAIK. You'd have to vent it properly if you'd want metal-shell(which should also make it more comfortable and less prone to getting hot) with low occlusion not just have it open-back and leak everything in and out. Around-ears are designed to be worn only one way and you block to vent(s) if you move it around accidentaly or don't fit it a certain way. Really I'd use speakers at home when I move out and only use earphones outside IEMs are kinda inefficient to remove temporarily for that purpose only purpose for something like ER2XR is a really loud commute(which could be blocked by music on normal earphones)
I also don't get the complains for quality control for a set this cheap I already covered an American and Japanese brands with QC problems people used to complain the same about Chinese brands even if they beat others in price-to-performance otherwise.

a few years ago i got the moondrop starfield which started to get really quiet sometimes after a while. i think the problem was moisture building up and clogging the filter and also them being all metal.
do newer metal iem's like moondrop lan or moondrop may also suffer from this problem?

New DAP for hearing loss, who's ordering?
"Astell&Kern, a global leader in portable high resolution audio players and accessories, launches the PD20, a new product that redefines the digital audio player by creating a sound signature uniquely tailored to the user’s hearing. Designed under the concept “Craft Your Sound,” the PD20 is not a successor to the popular PD10 or any other Astell&Kern DAP, but an entirely new player built from the ground up; designed to transform how music is individually experienced. Rather than simply delivering sound, the PD20 shapes it to fit the listener.
The PD20 is the first digital audio player to support personalized audio through a built-in hearing test. Developed in collaboration with global audio solutions leader Audiodo, the Personal Sound system analyzes individual hearing characteristics and compensates independently for left and right ears to create a uniquely tailored listening profile. With the included dedicated earphones for precise hearing measurement, users can complete a simple hearing test and immediately experience a sound signature optimized exclusively for them."

So I replaced my Moon Drop Mays with a pair of KZ Zeniths because the right ear went nearly silent, now after 2 weeks of using the Zeniths the right ear has gone as well having the same issue as my Mays, I've swapped cables but same issue. Is my cable possibly killing my iems? I used the same one for both and the fact its happened twice now is worrying.

if you swapped cables and it didn't fix it, it's more likely your ear canal is incredibly earwaxy and moist, and the filter is absorbing that and then clogging it

That's not what I was saying. I was talking about people treating clone 711 FR as absolute tonal truth in bass/treble. channel balance is L/R delta, different issue.

Moondrop shitter here. Been using Chu 2 for around two years or so. I clean them every month, and every time I take the tips off, their inside is covered in green-blue-ish coating. Same goes for the metallic tip of the IEMs themselves. Probably something related to lead/copper oxidation, but is this safe? I'm putting this green goo inside of my ears basically every day. fair enough and testing the waters should include going for absolute value and punching above price points, which is why Hydro is the only real choice when it comes to KZ/CCA. you already area considering the brand, why not just spend the few extra on their best release? an upgrade from Hydro would start somewhere in the $200-300 point and even then, advantages are marginal at best, if even noticed. the iem you considered, you'll obviously want to upgrade from that eventually, and you'd be harder pressed to find something to upgrade from that than a set that wouldn't really need to be replaced for awhile, if ever.
it's KZ, get their best, is my only point.

I still don't understand what's up with this mess with ANC on is and why it only shows up on B&K measurements

compare with 711 clone coupler measurements, it shows the slight boost in treble and subbass with ANC off but the mids are basically unchanged
>>
>>
>>108271996
that's the thing it shows up on 3 separate B&K measurements I've seen(LTT, soundguys.com, and the one in the pic)
other than it being some weird acoustic impedance thing the one thing that comes to mind is that the ANC measurement mics might react weird to a more realistic pinna? fuck knows

you're listening to music at 100dB since you're deaf, but normal people listening to music below 80db won't ever hear distortion.. cope

Looking at cheap DAPs on amazon and ebay since I'm considering getting back into maintaining an offline music library.
Is there any real standouts in the <$30 price range, or are they all fairly comparable? I want something with buttons to navigate the UI & control audio. Looking at possibly a used Walkman as well.
I just don't want to spend a lot of money on something that I lose interest in.

If you don't have hands or lungs or organs or a computer you can't perform it either fucking idiot. You should be proud of posting the most ass fucking retarded argument I've seen here in months.

Time to test it out. Immediately swapped the cable with one from KB EARS w/ 4.4mm balanced output and my go-to Tangzu Sancai Balanced tips to give it the best possible chance.
Side note: I never realized how "open" the back of it is; I thought most of the holes were just for looks. I don't remember if these were advertised as open back or not. Maybe this will help create a wider soundstage

I'm going to travel with my S08s but the cable is way too heavy making the IEMs fall out of my ears when I move. So I'm searching for something light and cheap I can travel with.
Any recommendations? preferably non-braided cables
