>Not sure what private trackers are all about?
A private tracker is an invite-only torrent website. Each member shares common goals: collecting, preserving and discussing media.

Why do normie love so much mini encode slop? a good encode is like half the size with 1% visual quality loss. Unless its HDR 4k (weird tech) you won't notice the difference ...
Scene encode are a bit less than this, with visual quality lose but they still better than re-encode/minihd ... i would say they are on par with streaming system
For MP3/FLAC i understand its an already "transparent encode" but for the rest?
>>
>>
>>
>>108283963
My relatives told me they say the difference, its very noticeable in dark, grainy and action-filled scene. Scene encodes are "fine" for them (streaming too, granted its an animated movie)
Whats worse is the audio that sound like total shit despite using like 10$ earbuds

I'm in cabal and have access to the invite forum in every single tracker I'm in except MAM because it's such a disorganized and hard to follow tracker. Seriously, it's like the same complexity as all the random bullshit BHD has but on MAM you need to understand all of that just for maintaining ratio and jumping user classes.

Cabal are a bunch of pretentious cocksuckers anyways. They won't be relevant for much longer. They are topsite wannabes. They think they are better than scene even though they rely on scene lol. "Lower" tiers have faster and better internals a lot of the time

Slopify sucks. You pay $9 per month for pure garbage. It didn't even have lossless until a few months ago. I have Apple Music which only costs me around $3 per month. It's nice but I don't listen to it as much as I listen to my library downloaded from RED/OPS/slsk.
>>

>>
>>
>>108285083
Its not about that, the site just has no organization and is cucked by big authors and has a convoluted process for seeding from a home server/seedbox.
The UI is also really ugly and the whole forced positivity thing is weird and cultish.
>>
>>
>>108284843
>"Lower" tiers have faster and better internals a lot of the time
maybe you are talking about BYNDR and HONE . but many rippers retired who used to upload much faster than them in HDB or PTP like 0day NF and MA 4k
>>
>>
>>
>>108285127
Those are groups but yes. As a previous uploader if you are just doing it by yourself the more you upload the more you risk exposing who you are unless you exercise perfect opsec by paying for new accounts and proxies everytime but most people won't be willing to do that

do you like anime where nothing happens? this is basically that
it's slice of life, but even more so than others
i like it because it's chill and the premise is new. Kinme is also cute and pure.
i guess it depends on how much you like slice of life.

Honestly, yeah. I enjoy it quite a lot. Slice of Life is one of my favorite genres of anime. And lately my life's felt so rushed with little time to slow down, that I've been essentially only watching simple SoL series. They're fun, cute, and make the ordinary feel really special. They're a good watch after a rough day.
I think I'll check it out. Thanks, Anon!

Of course no one who is sane on /g/ would join this honeypot. You hand the owners of private trackers your real location. You don't give a shit about privacy. You and this shitty general don't belong on /g/. Get the fuck off my board.
>>
>>108287380
You come here to post FUD and bitching like this every day but we just insult you or ignore you. You changed nothing. You're wasting your time.
Spend your time on something you like. That's what we do. If you focus on what you hate you will be miserable and mad for the rest of your days. Pull your panties out of your ass crack and get on with your life.
>>
Some poor souls might be lurking this thread so it's a good advice to warn them the bullshit anti-privacy you retards keep shilling, on /g/ of all places. So yeah, I'm not going anywhere as long as you dumb gorillas still exist.
>>
>>
>>
>>108287463
Don't like it? Don't join it. The full extent of everything related to these trackers including the information sharing between them is documented in the wiki and also in leaked information from 32pages in the archives. It's not like we're hiding something from people, unlike places such as r/trackers where these topics cannot be discussed freely.
You know this because you have been lurking this thread since 2011. You don't actually care about any of this. You just wish to troll but you're terrible at it. I don't want to hear about /g/ purity either. Go argue in a Linux vs Mac vs Windows vs Android vs iOS thread like everyone else here does. This thread has an actual community that shares useful information with people interested in the topic. We are not shilling it to outsiders. We don't care about outsiders.
You're one of us btw. You have internalized every single one of our talking points by lurking for this long. You know they are all true no matter how many times you come back to deny them. We occupy a part of your brain and you will never get it back. We have colonized you. You are a part of our thread and it's lore. Your obsession with us keeps you trapped here.

It's funny that this mf probably knows more about private trackers by now than a lot of people who have been in the cabal for years. He comes to push a privacy angle when his IP address got found out before and we were able to see everything he downloaded on public trackers. He only has a bug up his ass about private trackers because he has no use for them, which fine, we can accept that. But it has become a deep pathological obsession. Every argument just leads to him being disproved. Every time he gets disproved he learns more about private trackers. Surely he's a goddamned expert by this point. Neons lurking probably got a level of education the entire wiki article could never provide just by watching him get slapped around.

btw everyone who is trying to join a decent tracker will be told about the requirement to use their home IP to do so. Some people object and drop out. That's fine. We don't insult people for not accepting that. We didn't make the rule. We don't enforce the rule. We may provide suggestions for how to get around it because we are practitioners of the dark arts in this thread.

Is there even a sigle tracker that completely prohibits browsing via VPN? The laxer ones like PTP only ask for 2fa to be enabled, others like BTN want you to whitelist the IP of the VPN via Staff PM first. But there is no tracker that completely prohibits VPNs to my knowledge.

That's what I thought. The whining faggot probably knows this better than anyone else, it's just his new tactic to shit on trackers. Last time is was the lack of ""freedom"" which turned out that he doesn't want to seed for a second after downloading and just H&R everything.

/ptg/, established 1963
we /pyramid/ posted when Beatles acetates leaked
we had all the telecines from the bootleg scene of the 70s that existed before movie studios entered the home video market
in the 80s we had to delete most of our stashes to get rid of all the videos containing Traci Lords, that was rough
in the 90s we were keeping backups of various BBSes on CD-Rs
/ptg/ master race, we don't die, we just make increasingly shitty threads and refuse to leave. You can't troll us out of existence. We thrive on low quality. So come on in, shit up our thread. We don't care because nothing else was happening today anyway

I always considered those people beneath neons. Even if they are in the cabal they are beneath neons. A /ptg/ neon does not know everything yet but they are learning. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't make nearly as much, YGG was semi-private for most of its lifespan, and even after it turned private it had regular open signups, so it had way more people to get money from. It also had a complete monopoly and was mainstream enough to get normies on it. Most users had no torrenting experience or knowledge of what a tracker is besides YGG, which makes for an ideal userbase to prey on because you can convince them to pay for freeleech points and do absolutely anything you want because they don't know any better
That alone probably made them a ton of money, but their earnings skyrocketed in the past few months after they added waiting times and max download counts for everyone who doesn't pay. And they were only proven right since people did stay and did pay. Even after a lot of users with double digit IQ left and the largest uploading teams were banned, over 2 months later it still had more seeders than all the other trackers, as well as a much bigger library. Fact is if it weren't for the hack, they would've 100% continued being the biggest French tracker by a very large margin. It's like Netflix raising their prices or putting ads in paid plans, some people leave but most will stay and nothing will change because it's Netflix
In comparison even if TL and IPT are large, I feel like their userbases are at least slightly more acquainted with torrenting and what this kind of site is in general. If they didn't, they wouldn't be on a private tracker, they would've stayed in public ones. YGG was in a special spot where even though it was semi-private/private, it was the only option that was public enough because French public trackers are scarce and completely worthless. It's just a perfect market that can't exist in wider scenes
>>
>>
>>108290707
>And they were only proven right since people did stay and did pay.
I feel you are misrepresenting the situation slightly as while a part of their members did indeed stay and pay, a different part elected instead to hack them and shut their whole business down. So ultimately I would say they were not, in fact, proven right.
>>
>>108290746
A select handful of people determined enough to nuke them isn't comparable to the hundreds of thousands who stayed and rolled along with the decisions or reluctantly accepted them though. I guess you can argue they only increased their own chances of finding out after fucking around so much, but this outcome where absolutely everything is lost still wasn't likely
>>
>>108290826
Those select handful of people decided to hack them as a direct result of YGG's greedy actions. This is literally the opening statement of the document the hacker's released:
>En décembre 2025, YGGtorrent a déployé le "Turbo Mode", un système qui limite les comptes gratuits à 5 téléchargements par jour sauf paiement de 86 euros. Les teams de release qui ont protesté ont été bannies (Team QTZ, Team FW, et d'autres) et la shoutbox a été désactivée.
>In December 2025, YGGtorrent introduced “Turbo Mode,” a system that limits free accounts to 5 downloads per day unless they pay 86 euros. The release teams that protested were banned (Team QTZ, Team FW, and others), and the shoutbox was disabled.
I would say the answer is definite whether YGG was proven right or wrong by forcing people to pay. Here's a hint: YGG doesn't exist anymore.
>>
>>108290884
That's what I meant when I said fucking around increased their own chances of finding out. It's definitely a consequence but far from an inevitable one, it was very lucky (or unlucky for them) and there were a lot of factors, mainly their security being terrible. Like yeah if they hadn't become even shitter than before, it would've been less likely for them to go down, but still possible since the site and its staff were already despised by this part of the community. And likewise even after those decisions that angered them even more, them managing to destroy everything wasn't a certainty at all, they could've easily not found anything to exploit, or at least not something nearly as critical that could lead to the site's complete downfall. What happened was the most severe outcome possible, in almost all other universes YGG is still out there going unpunished and generating infinite money
>>
>>108290989
>in almost all other universes YGG is still out there going unpunished and generating infinite money
Very cool, very nice.
Hypothesize all you like, at the end of the day there's only one universe, and both you and I can see whether YGG was right or wrong in their choices.

I buy GBs of data that never expires. I haven't paid for data once in 2026. I never stream videos on my phone unless I'm on wifi and only occasionally listen to live radio streams with mobile data. Mobile data is just for hailing rides, using messengers, voip calls, etc. My music collection is currently at 100GB of opus files.
If you really think about it it's pointless to pay for unlimited data when you're not going to be outside most of the time. I won't be constantly listening to music when I'm outside unless I'm taking a 1-2 hour bus ride and mobile data has proven itself to be shit for that because of dead spots. So I only open Apple Music if I want to hear something that isn't already in my collection while I'm using wifi.

>Let's get rid of all the nonsensical rules
why? its working for them for years. if you think its productive to change rules, just go to a batter place or create a better place. if you cant do that maybe the problem is you

I never check the RED Top 10. The only thing I have heard of from the past day is IDOLM@STER. As far as the past week goes I downloaded all the albums I'm actually interested in from IPT already. I manually go through all the new releases every weekend.

trying to flex his IPT and TL stats
>>
>>108296969
It's not so much of a flex as much of a statement of how easy it is. With little effort those trackers become effectively freeleech with hit and runs allowed. IPT has porn and music which sets it apart from TL. That's why I use it more.

Well if you have Deezer Hifi setting up OrpheusDL will get you anything without touching your ratio. I have it set up for Qobuz on my end. I just grab the scene releases for the new stuff because I'm lazy and I like browsing a somewhat curated selection of new releases.

It's just a SysOp who keeps going MIA. The rest of the site management wants it running when he shows up again.
