>Not sure what private trackers are all about?
A private tracker is an invite-only torrent website. Each member shares common goals: collecting, preserving and discussing media.

>READ THE OP BEFORE MAKING A FUCKING QUESTION YOU RETARDED FAGGOT
>It doesn't matter if you use the same username in different trackers, the staff still share your IP with each other.
>Staff is reading, being /marked/ is not a meme, and even if it is, it isn't.
>Don't ask for invites, it's private for a reason.
>If starting out you should interview for RED, rank to Torrent Master, wait on account age, and get invites from there. THAT'S IT THAT IS ALL YOU HAVE TO DO

that would be nice. I'm thinking I might try to use one of those bitcoin to monero exchange things (not really sure about which one or how to use it) and just plug in the donation address so I don't have to deal with a monero wallet

The Spring season is finally here my animefriends!
What are we watching? I watched ~12 shows last season, maybe I try to do less now.
From this season, Witch Hat Atelier looks pretty interesting, as well as the maid one for a cute sol. Maybe I'll do the needy girl too and others.

You can leave your database unlocked while you're on and use the browser extension with shortcut keys, F1 for username+password and F2 for totp. Browser auto-clearing the cookies on close. That's what I do when I'm at my home computer. Maybe it's not for everyone.

I seed on RED from my home connection 24/7. Is it worth upgrading my home connection from 17 Mbps upload to 43 Mbps upload? It would cost an extra $5 AUD / $3.53 USD per month. Would it be better to put that money towards a seedbox?

How likely is it that these two files are from the same source?
Same file size.Predators.2025.1080p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.264-BLOOM.mkv 4.06GB
Predators.2025.1080p.WEB.h264-EDITH.mkv 4.06GB
First one has two srts & the second one has one. Both have the same language.
I downloaded the second one & it has a hard-coded subtitle at 00:13:13.835.
Not sure why the scene doesn't include more information like P2P groups?
Is is because you can only get one version of a movie?
This one does not have any hard coded subtitles.
It says it's AMZN but there is a PMTP opening logo & it's smaller in file size.Predators.2025.1080p.AMZN.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.264-BiOMA.mkv 3.79GB
It has four subtitles in three languages, but the subtitle seems to be out of sync.
I'm only one minute in & syncing subtitles makes me want to KMS. I don't know how anime groups do this.
I had a look at this forum https://www.sub-talk.net/topic/3143-how-to-sync-a-file-using-subtitlee dit.
Are there more recent guides or people who know more?
I feel like I'm missing something, it shouldn't feel this difficult.
Do I just lack concentration or do groups just split the work?
>>108555057
Is it not a bad idea to have your passwords & TOTP/Backup-Codes all in one password manager?

Just a moment of silence
For those of you who know, you know. But we recently lost an important friend and member of the torrenting community, and if everyone could say just a little prayer for them and their family as they deal with it. I don't want to out the person, but it's worth mentioning that we are all a family here, and despite the competitive and sometimes adversarial nature of this community, it is truly one of a kind and deserves respect and love when one of our members is lost.
To me, he was a good friend, a level head when I was otherwise a loose cannon, and just an all-around fantastic person with great energy.
For those of you who know who I'm referring to, please don't make a big deal about this and give out who, but if you want to send your condolences, I can make sure it's passed along.

I would not be able to remember several master passwords. And if I forget this single one I am killing myself. In the case that your database gets compromised you have bigger worries than your totp being in the same database - I would assume. Splitting all your different things into different databases is more secure.

Not going to address many of the asinine comments from people who ostensibly don't have jobs and use this place as the only way to feel like they have agency over life. Will instead address the people who actually offered help and solutions. The thread got closed before I could even reply, as I have been gone a month+ because it was the most active time in my development, as - unlike many of you - i action my words, saw the housing crisis in my country, and redirected all my capital and time to building homes. I now have two homes landing end of month to be bought by families at affordable prices. But many of you like to just be negative, say I am "refusing to do basic work" or "any level of commitment is too much work for this guy".
Well, to the chagrin of many angry people here: I heard, I listened, and I have acted. It is quite simple to find bandcamp requests, purchase them, and then upload the torrent. I just did one for 5gb bounty and I am hoping I didn't mess up the process, and if I did I am sure it'll be an easy fix for next time on my end.
I've been given what is a seemingly simple way to contribute, because some of you actually aren't here for the sole purpose of trying to feel smart while everything outside of torrenting in your life falls apart. I find it strange that in multiple back and forths with the mods here, not a single one suggested this hyper simple process, and instead fixated on the fact they seemed confused that someone could be successful and busy.
Suffice to say, happy to keep supporting and buying albums for people. As this community is fantastic, and I appreciate much of the support I got from people.
>>
>>108560776
In regards to comments like this:
"For everyone else spending their valuable free time in this thread, please realize that we have seen this complaint many times before, and it is nearly always from someone who is never going to be willing to expend any effort whatsoever. You're wasting your time if you are spending any effort trying to explain ways to improve ratio, they're clearly not going to do it." - VeggieManiac
You are the type of negative person that creates the negative world you suppose exists around you, you bring it into creation, and I am going to guess you are the type of person who constantly has everything around them fail and you always blame someone else. I hope you get help.
These people didn't waste their time helping, as now I am for the first time in a decade, uploading. You, on the other hand, sound like a detriment to this community, and to the people around you.
"if you can afford albums why support this archival place?" Was another popular comment. Not exactly sure you understand why you are here, and maybe you shouldve been weeded out of the IRC process.
Again, thanks to the people who showed empathy and tried to actually help, you know who you all are.

I never understood why trackers delete the torrents which fail a reseed request.
Just keep the torrent there and keep nagging the users who snatched it for all eternity.
If a torrent has to be deleted, it must be for a very good reason (it's trumped by another better one), with manual staff intervention.

I'm not sure I'd climb to TM now if I was starting out. I got onto PTP, TehConnection, GOEM and others from What back in the day. I'd probably get into ATH and MTV and chill. > definitely apart of the minority
Minority sure, but don't underestimate the supply of teens with infinite free time rolling in here. Take a look at the overflowing RED interview queue, this very general, and the various tracker subreddits people flow in from. Plus all the youtube and media attention for stuff like plex and jellyfin. People on those kinds of places end up trickling down to PTs.

Hello,
I was always under the impression that MAM was one of the better ways to get deeper into the PT scene. I just hit six months today and was excited to access the invites forum, since Tracker Pathways shows that many trackers I want to get into recruit from MAM.
To my surprise, the invite forum is quite barren! None of the trackers I looked forward to getting into recruit from MAM anymore. Many of them are now on the "do not discuss" list. All thats left is the "lower level" trackers that I am already in. Quite a disappointment!
Why the change? What is the new meta? Thanks!

Isn't that confusing. I thought groups got releases from AMZN because of the higher bit-rate, why name a file like that if that's not what you are getting.
I read that BIOMA is a Brazilian group from a site called capybara. Are they just new or do all groups do this?
>>108555624
I remember trying these less than a year ago on another movie in addition to https://github.com/denizsafak/AutoSubSync.
Pretty sure they didn't work as well as manual syncing. I ended up trying to sync PGS subtitles manually, I think I got halfway through the movie before giving up.
I did see a comment about someone uploading audio & subtitles to an LLM[Maybe Gemmi] and asking it sync them, apparently it worked.

Do you know of any actors that would do DoS attacks on people seeding movies etc? I just don't do much of that, clueless. People harden their torrent clients or what?
What about that new library that is used under the hood of all clients? libtorrentsomething. It's got a v2. Worth trying or is there a problem with that one?

I wish I could delete some of my uploads and redo them. There's nothing that can trump them. Staff refuses to let me trump them. I would really like to change the metadata to have proper flags. >I thought groups got releases from AMZN because of the higher bit-rate
That's why groups will subscribe through and download from Amazon instead of the original platform. For a lot of content the streaming subscription is the only way to access it. Subscribing through Amazon gives you access to Amazon's encode of the same content. It also streamlines things. One less platform to deal with API breakage on.

From my experience no, PTs seem to get most of their software from those sites actually. The benefits of a PT for Mac is just the organisation, not depending on filehosts, back catalog of old software if you have an older Mac, and they have more games. If you just want the latest version of software those sites are all you need imo.

I'm not poor. I can afford Apple Music. If you allow me to connect up my phone to the bluetooth in your car it's not going to start spewing out advertisements reflecting that I'm of a lower socioeconomic tier, like Spotify users are. Despite having access to a superior streaming experience I still use RED to collect the best mastered versions of albums. Specifically the original ones on CD from before they did shitty remaster jobs which is what you mostly find on streaming. I also download things that only exist on vinyl or obscure compilation CDs that never made it to streaming. Better that than listening to it in degraded YouTube quality.

They can find the person in question using the backdoor or their compromised node network and then work back from his identity to find a way how they could've caught him without Tor. This way they'd be safe in front of a judge and would keep us believing that tor is safe

it seems at some point that whoever is scraping nzbs for .in/.omg (check the actual nzbs, the scraped private tracker torrents are often the exact same usenet posts) stopped downloading absolutely everything and started cherrypicking certain types of stuff

If you can't find music you like on a site with billions of songs it's a (you) problem. The fact that you think otherwise makes me laugh a bit

How to build up a ratio on MTV? Feels like a dead tracker. No free leech and yes I know about the gentleman's agreement and not requiring a ratio to maintain.

private tracker staff are so fucking retarded man
the retard that invited me lent out a bunch of invites on public forums now I'm locked out of the invite forum because of it
of course staff doesn't give a shit and revoked my invite/invite forum privileges

Scene stopped actively recruiting like 20 years ago and it still survives. It's declining, it's far from its peak, yes, but the volume of releases is still huge.
Top trackers are bigger than the scene at this point and they're still growing. I'm optimistic about their future.

It was a very good starting option in the past, but reportedly the number of interview slots has been drastically recruited. It's still a very good option if you go there through an invite forum (for neons, most likely from ATH, ANT or NBL)
You will get fewer snatches than on RED, but 1) there's a forum thread where you can ask people to snatch 2) thanks to FL tokens, racing is an option 3) last year's advent calendar gave shittons of upload, no clue if it willl come back tho
Also, RED's invite forum is a bit better (OPS doesn't have BTN and AB). BTW, AB is on OPS no movement list, I wonder what happened there lol

These kinds of sources, whatever the fuck they are, always have line audio synced. So even if it was a DCP you can reasonably expect it was not one that included an English audio track. If it's just a really good CAM then it's still really good. People just aren't used to such things existing in modern times.

Are they actually DCP or just really good CAMs though? I think the times we actually got DCPs they were delivered without encryption. Russia has a serious piracy problem though which means really good CAMs can be made rather than the clandestine jobs we're used to. China used to be a big source for those for capeshit too but that died off.
