Sup, deadboard fags. I'm interested in learning more about the foundry side of typography creation and maybe cook some typeface if I'm commited for long enough. Not looking forward to do this professionally so I'm mostly down to checking options that support multiaxis variable types and programming
I've tried hard to like FontForge but that piece of shit is a struggle, so I'm looking for alternatives, Wangblows mostly as I don't use mac. That leaves Fontlab and FontCreator.
FontLab is the nobrainer overpriced basic bitch option so I'm putting it aside as I'm curious about the alternative. How's FontCreator? I barely see people discussing it that much, even though it got a mac version 2 years ago, but the licenses they have are not subs and have prices decent enough to considering not being a pirate. Any known foundries or creators using it?

General type software and typography discussion I guess.
FontForge, Birdfont, Fontra, FontCreator, FontLab, Glyphs, Glyphr Studio, Robofont, Type 3.2 and whatever else I'm missing
