>Using a literal retard as your prime example
I guess you and chris-chan have at least one thing in common, OP.
>>
>>7929862
high-functioning autism =/= retard

The reality is that some people have more intelligence in some areas than others. Yeah, sure, maybe you're better at most things than somebody, but it's entirely possible that you're both equally art-retarded. Some people just get a mental hangup on certain subjects and can't for the life of them wrap their brain around them, while other things they pick up with ease. A generally smart person might have some success by brute forcing their natural ineptitudes by applying traditional studying methods, but they'll struggle much more and probably not reach the same skill level as somebody who just naturally "gets it."

he was mid-functioning and a retard on top of it.

>has sold multiple art pieces
>well known on the internet
>has multiple documentaries and stories made about him
>has had sex
>currently has a girlfriend
Isn't it funny that a literal motherfucking pants shitting retard is somehow more of a success than the average nodraw?

So basically my life is like Solo Leveling...challenge accepted. *smirks*

>calling chris-chan a success because he's infamous
the absolute mentally ill state of narcissists

i dont get OP's point
she did improve? very marginally and slowly (it should be a year's worth of time, not 15 or 20 or 25...) but if you tell me the 2000s is exactly as bad as the 2015 one, you're as retarded as her.

Chris and Trump have IRL plot armor.

Am i improving /ic/?

And yet he still mogs 60% of /ic/
>>
>>7929842
My wild guess is taking a look at what you made, deeming it perfect and raging at the world for not appreciating it's greatness is counter productive to improvement
Permabeg here so take it with a grain of salt
>>
even fucking chris chan got better by just drawing lmao, as marginal as the improvement is
>>
>>7929842
I havent closely followed chris since he stalked that bitch from planet dolan
does he still draw the comics or did he give that up for etsy grifting?
>>
>>7933049
Probably close to the truth, if not outright so. Some talented animators wanted to adapt the sonichu series, and the reason why Chris-chan turned them down is because he felt their art wasn't good enough to do so.
So clearly he holds his own work in high regard and is unable to view it through a critical lens.

Being able to accurately judge your own work is a problem for any artist, so it makes sense that a retard would be extra stunted in this regard.
>>
>>7933049
Which is why /ic/ encourages improvement by telling everyone they suck and are NGMI and YWNBAW so you should KYS.
>>
>>7929842
Chris Chan could probably improve but he's deluded himself into thinking his style is perfect already.
>>
>>7929842
can't improve perfection

This is the most based thing about him too. Whether you like it or not, he's an artist who's fully realized his vision on his own terms. The vast majority of artists will never experience this nirvana.
>>
>>7940414
this is not true, he traces art all the time (or at least used to) so clearly his own vision is actually someone else's art style
