>>7932814 Some dumbass got butthurt because his stupid collages weren't being used so he sperged out and created this thread. Then he added more replies to the real thread just to bump it out of the catalog. OP's a fucking moron. Or an ESL retard.
>>7933763 Nah it absolutely has to be that way for the image's composition to work. Whenever I have to draw or see an angle like that I accept it's a compromise that has to be reached to make the image look good
Realism and correctness != appeal (although very often it does)
>>7933714 That blue background makes it look like she’s at the beach. I think adding more light to the gold bikini would help, and maybe some extra rim light too from the sun.
>>7933826 skill issue on your part all you need to do is rotate the torso slightly you get a more dynamic pose, show more boobs and have a more correct anatomy
>>7934094 you are the one who brought the shit and refuses to elaborate in favor of vagueposting loosely crying about pedos where it adds nothing of value to the thread take it to his DMs or your twitter account @'ing him not here
>>7933928 I'm not the other guy I'm just confirming what I know you posted and said on your socials. >>7933930 >told were to find it proof >nah I dont want to look Have fun being willfully ignorant I guess?
>>7934460 why would I go search for it? are you unironically retarded? I don't care about your skepticism. I said to magi what I had to say. keep being a fucking white kinght as much as you want, dumbass.
>>7933722 >>7933751 >>7933867 Thanks, I had no idea what specular highlights were, now I know. I also really liked the extra rim light. I really appreciate the feedback. I still have a lot to learn, so I hope I didn't go overboard with the details. I tried coloring the line art, and I feel like it makes the image look softer >>7933763 At first I thought the same thing, and the angle of the head was going to be more of a profile, but as I worked on the sketch, I felt that the composition called for the face to turn further to the right, i'm still learning so idk >>7934097 Thank you anon, that means a lot to me
>>7934836 Don't draw stump legs like you do. Unless you're into amputees. Some weirdos are. >>7934485 That's nice. Now face the wall. >>7934430 If you knew how to draw perspective, you wouldn't have to ask for critique.
>>7934967 Why is she sweating, what purpose do those sweat beads serve if the rest of the artwork doesn't convey any motion whatsoever? Or are those just pimples on the ass cheek and her thigh? >>7934968 You suffer from small head draw syndrome, luckily for you you're digital slop, so use the transform tool to fix that mistake. >>7935102 There's probably a reason why you didn't share it here. Speaking of digital slop, how are you still drawing amateurish pin ups almost 18 years? That's the definition of insanity, that you haven't changed a bit and before you give us another TL;DR, just answer it in one sentence.
>>7935771 You can change the word troll to asshole if you prefer. I'm not even arguing the substance of the comment, just the delivery. It's obvious ragebait.
>>7935488 >how is this looking Amateurishly unfinished. There's nothing sexual about gatcha game pulls. You're not pioneering the lifestyle, either. >>7935594 >hmmm Exactly. What were you trying to convey here, this doesn't make any sense. >>7935657 >lil messy Yes it is. I can't imagine the finished drawing being any better, it's just your basic, run of the mill, generic elf pin up. Before you sperg out, ask yourself, where the fuck is that waterfall coming from? You're obviously only going to draw a jungle in the background so, do waterfalls just, fall from the sky in your imagination? At least Bob Ross makes the conscious effort to paint an origin of his waterfalls.
>>7935802 You're not arguing the substance of my critique, because it's true. That void, purple background SCREAMS lazy, generic pin up. For someone who's been doing it for 18 years, you'd think you'd put it more effort. Amateur.
>>7935903 >Amateurishly unfinished I see, I should've said 'how is this looking SO FAR' of course it's unfinished my idea was to draw the watching porn, her saying 'insane pull' is about the guy finding a particularly hot video
>>7936070 Don't engage, he's just being an asshole for no reason. Your drawing looks great and I like the concept, has something familiar or explorative about it, like two siblings watching TV together without it being incestuous I mean, kinda hard to explain
>>7935488 Girls legs are completely off. Looks like you wanted her thighs spread, but didn't know where to put her lower legs and drew them in later.
Why is her right leg curled underneath her butt like that? Her thigh is literally bending forward to make the pose happen. We shouldn't be seeing the front and side of the knee from that angle. If I were going to draw what you have, I'd probably have her leg raised with her foot resting on a coffee table.
For her left leg, I think we'd be seeing more kneepit with her foot in profile, probably propped up on her tiptoes. The foot you've drawn is above the ground, and doesn't seem to be resting on anything. Upper bodies look pretty good though.
>>7935908 Oh, I completely agree with you on the low effort put into that artwork. That was definitely halfassed. Just a demo to test CSP's recording. That's why I said I'm not arguing the substance of the "critique". I was colling you out for being unnecessarily aggressive. I put in my art time and effort equal to what I'm being paid for. That's just the reality of being a commercial illustrator.
So many years on this board and he still can't take any single criticism with the excuse of people either "trolling" him or being "asshole". Literally dobson tier of retardation. Just let the people call you names and shut the fuck up, you ain't special.
>>7936090 Consider this fair critique, but what's going on with those eyes. The right eye is looking towards a three quarter angle while the left eye is almost at profile. Where is the right of her rib cage. Why is her right arm floating in mid-air like that. I don't think that waist is supposed to fold over like that. Change that now, or you're polishing a turd. >>7936450 You're an unknown, there's nothing commercial about your art; you're just the next digital slop in line in the year of Our Lord 2026. Please don't exaggerate your mythos. Let the critiques continue, let the art speak for itself.
>>7936574 Are you not capable of receiving an honest, fair critique about your art? Do we need to baby you, tell you the art is worthy of a refrigerator door, that it's, worthy of praise? No. If your art sucks, you should be called out on it, then decide for yourself, what am I doing wrong? You can either a. ask for help after getting punched on the chin for it or b. become this thread's lolcow. The choice is easy. I'd pick A.
>>7936583 You have also been here for many years so we have to assume you're just as skilled as the people you're dishing out such hard hitting critique to....right? RIGHT?
>>7936444 Do you have a vendetta against this guy? I swear no matter what thread i happen to find his art there is almost always the same sort of anatomy pointers in the same redditesque style of writting. I get that everyone can always improve and that theres no bad in having feedback but it seems a tad bit obsessed.
>>7936856 Something something an image says more than a thousand words and i am pretty sure if he can splurge so many words he can put those words into drawings... Because he does draw right?
>>7936582 >You're an unknown, there's nothing commercial about your art I never implied I was famous, that's just you making up a narrative you can go against. What's commercial about my art is that people pay me to make it. Simple as.
>>7936583 >Are you not capable of receiving an honest, fair critique about your art? I'm OP and didn't write the post you are replying to. I can accept a fair critique, as I did here >>7936450
>>7937110 thanks, lacking imagination and inertia mostly, and I just wasn't very good at it so I would've struggled to give up the parts I've already drawn. Although looking at how you did it seen like an interesting way to keep everything consistent without resorting to 3d model the scene so I might try doing it, but I don't know if I'll do it on this particular piece though.
>>7936832 you are you framing this as he's not capable of doing it while the timelapse clearly shows he can. its funny how desperate you crabs are to pull others down to your level, just so you can forget that you are at the very bottom of the bucket.
>>7937297 The bodies seem kinda long. There shouldn't be too big of a gap between upper corners of pelvic cradle and the lower parts of the rib cage. It IS a very difficult interaction to draw though.
>>7937358 Line quality (messy hairy lines), perspective (lack of proper foreshortening, especially on the hands) and anatomy (this kind of simplified shapes aren't good for porn).
>>7937297 Boob squish needs to be fixed. Try to remember that when fat meets fat it tends to compress, meaning it gets sent in all directions away from the mass of the force impeding on it - this means up, down, and splayed outwards.
Apart from that everything is pretty good, it's a nice piece and the colour palette is lovely.
>>7937549 Now that I see you quoting me, I realize I might have sounded very dismissive. If it's any consolation, I think your art definitely has some appeal.
>>7937589 >I realize I might have sounded very dismissive I didn't feel that way. I appreciate it when ppl are forward, especially when giving criticism
>>7935102 >There's probably a reason why you didn't share it here. >Speaking of digital slop, how are you still drawing amateurish pin ups almost 18 years? That's the definition of insanity, that you haven't changed a bit and before you give us another TL;DR, just answer it in one sentence. retard
>>7937007 So is a proper anatomy. Exaggerated or not, that's very unappealing. The last time I saw an ass divided in sections like that I was at a butcher's counter ordering meat. >>7937281 Yes, it does. Drawing child pornography isn't sexy either, old man. >>7937297 PLENTY. I suggest you do more anatomy studies. And don't listen to >>7937523 , he/she is clearly misleading you, the left forearm on the redhead is nonexistent. Unless you like Ethiopian thin, that's a personal choice.
>>7937358 Anatomy. At least make an effort. >>7937528 Those eyes are going to come back and haunt you. On both those elves. Mark my words. >>7937664 >You can only critique an artist's work. >Digital slop. amateurish pin ups You must be new here. That's called a critique, despite what your fee-fee's tell you. No participation trophy for you.
>>7937827 >And don't listen to >>7937523 # , he/she is clearly misleading you
No, I have breasts myself so I have a better understanding of the movement of their form and mass under action. Nothing about what I typed/drew was inaccurate.
>>7936444 >Looks like you wanted her thighs spread, but didn't know where to put her lower legs and drew them in later that's exactly how it went, actually. dunno why that other anon got on your case, I wouldn't post if I didn't want feedback, and yours wasn't dismissive. tried redrawing her left leg, the right one I didn't bother with, since it's gonna be cropped out in the final anyways. there are still things to trial and error >>7934967 >>7934968 I wanna draw like dis >>7934485 this rendering resembles rizdraws to me
>>7937281 Anatomy is not really the problem, but merely a symptom of you not having a sufficient control over your tool. Thick, wobbly lines suggest that you went through a lot of trial and error just to get to the meager results you have. I recommend you fiddle around your brush size, pressure and stabilization settings to get much more reliable strokes. Then the rest is up to your muscle memory, arm/wrist/finger/shoulder/elbow utilization, arm support and zoom.
I think I finally figured out my zoom issue. I should adjust my IRL neck/upper body at the same time as I adjust my zoom, in order to establish the range of motion for my own body in relation to the distance for viewing the active canvas from the ideal range.
>>7939025 Previous one was decent. This one is yet another polished turd. Your pelvis anatomy is beg level and because of that you can't pull off this kind of hyper exaggeration.
>>7939366 >>7939396 You can simplify the shape. This kind of bone detail is unnecessary unless you are drawing actual skeletons. Focus on proper perspective instead of detailing.
>>7939400 Oh, I will, in fact you can see some of that already happening in some of the examples. Although a third of the examples were already from pure memory; I kinda already got kinda comfortable drawing them more complex.
>>7939432 The real treasure I got out of doing these hip studies was the "boneify" shape rhythm. Not just bones, but you can use it pretty much anything, even abstract and partial objects!
>>7935488 took me a week but I pushed through why yes I have altered common sense / casual fetish how could you tell >>7939822 beautiful rendering, but her left hand... >>7939823 uncircumcized representation
>>7932804 Howdy everyone, I almost never post on this website so apologies if im doing something wrong. Ive never really drawn fat nor boobs upside down so I wanted to check with yall if it looks okay? I was mostly thinking with the water balloon method. If theres anything else though thats worth critiquing lemme know.
>>7940007 If she's hanging upside down and meant to be in uncomfortable position and situation, consider showing it through gesture. Now she's just hanging there straight and stiff
>>7940042 I was just joking, that's not my work. Anyways, let me ask. Why?.... why should I create anything on deviantart art or ehentai? I have galleries there and nobody looks at my shit Anyways. The people that "like" my work doesn't support me with any money or encentives. If they liked my work enough, I'd reckon they'd make the gallery for me. These websites aren't fun anon. So why should I waste my time pandering to others?
>>7940044 Do you know how others find new art and artists to follow in Pixiv, DA and E-Hentai? They use the search function. When you upload your works, you give the work tags. When users search tags that interest them and your work has those tags, the users find you.
I've been drawing for 5 years and I have thousands of followers in DA and Pixiv and most my comms and monthly supporters come from there. Learn to brand yourself if you want to make money, newbie.
>>7933583 Actual pedophile shit, graphic shit like Naruto fucking his 8 year old daughter- shit even Jeffrey Epstein would be sickened by. It's a shame because his regular art is so nice and he has a unique artstyle. No doubt irl he has USBs full of CP he uses for reference. Hopefully his day job isn't one where he's allowed near children.
>>7940047 I'm a busy guy and I'm too lazy to search through all the tags for just a quick fap, I can only imagine that others do the same as well. Fyi, I'm not a newbie. I've also been drawing for about 6 years.
>>7934074 He's not a closeted pedophile, he's proud and open about it. He is also a crybaby and throws tantrums when anons call out what a sick fat fuck he is.
>>7940019 when posing I drew the guy's with his left leg raised a little, leaning against the armrest. but because the bottom is cut off, and the pants are covering his feet, it turned out poorly readable. I also see now that I drew the dickhead too dark. and the motion lines I phoned in, very bad >>7940047 nah man that's not my thing, it's only a hobby
>>7940056 You remind me of a friend that I used to have, your artstyle and how you do it just as a hobby. And comics, Never satisfied with his own work, eventhough it was already good. I won't say out if respect but you aren't him, since he was good at coloring. 50/50%
>>7940098 Those feet, especially the toes look kinda big/chunky/chubby. If it's intentional, then fine. Here's a redline for various potential considerations.
>>7940166 I should probably do a focus study on them too, but I figured this was enough to point out what I needed to tell, which was more about the overall size in relation to the body, rather than shape.
I think I can draw really nice and pretty feet if I really try and focus on that. They've been kind of bothering me on my more casual passes on them.
>>7940150 Anon you're a fuckin genius! I knew there was something off about them but I couldn't tell what it was Thank you greatly for the redline as well, you're far too kind
>>7938887 Cool use of flats, I like it. I think some value contrast (on her specifically) could help her pop out a little more. Pic related has a lot of art using flats and makes great use of contrast with a good balance between light and shadows, sometimes adds more detail and texture/patterns on midtones, or defines the form on the shadow with some intetional fill + rim light. It's useful to know even though you're just using color, you're still drawing, so you can add some variety just like some comic artist using inks would use different hatching techniques. Pic related uses a mix of flats and gradients, but they're subtle enough, you can do that with an area of interest, such as the face or her hair, you can even go a bit off rails and use a literal texture layer on top just for flavor, it can look cheesy but it's an interesting approach, sort of as trying to figure out how a combination of blobs, marks and patterns can trick the eye into something that feels complex, I'll post an example in my next post, same artist.
This is another piece of mine. It's, technically speaking, identical to >>7940235. Do you want to check the upload date yourself, or would you prefer to save yourself some time and scurry away with your little dick between your legs now?
>>7940392 Guy replying to you isn't me lol, but honestly it's hard not to get frustrated by those kind of accusations. You'd think art just didn't exist at all before AI. What do these people even think it's trained on in the first place?
>>7938251 Why does it look like that tattoo above that poorly drawn penis is just floating in the air, rather than it looking embedded on his skin? You would think gay artists would have a much better idea about drawing the male body, unless this was drawn by a female, then you get this reply, >>7938080 and understand why. >>7938471 That's not a lower angle, that's just an awkward perspective. Why is she wearing a crown. What about that conveys movement. Why does she (he?) have weird sciatic pain lines? >>7938815 The blind leading the blind. You only made it worse.
>>7938887 It turned out EXACTLY how I knew it would. So did your cross-eyed elves earlier. Wonderful job. >>7939025 The saw horse table legs are at an angle to the left. The legs on that futa are angled to her right. Make it make sense. >>7939366 More like, I can't draw perspective.jpg a second time around. Let me focus on bone structure instead of addressing my inability to draw perspective correctly. Look here, not there. I beg you.
>>7939401 >>7939411 >>7939421 >>7939432 >>7939544 >Oh shit, I hope they don't notice the saw horse legs >Quick, upload these scribbles, that'll put out the fire The butcher's meat diagram analogy was spot on.
>>7939822 What a terrible, half-assed color job on this. I love how the left implant is practically at his neck. >>7939823 Maybe make an effort in your art and someone will justify giving it prasie, or in my case, a critique. >>7940468 Quiet, no one asked you. Either give critiques or keep your drama to yourself.
>>7940472 Is your crab-strategy making advice so unpleasant that you keep everyone down by making them not want to follow advice, regardless of how right or wrong it may be?
>>7939937 Boring, unappealing storyboard. Why would you type out LOUD INTERCOURSE (FULL VOLUME) rather than use the proper onomatopoeia? Why is there a GIANT arrow pointing down at the second "panel", but there's a speech bubble tail pointing to the top panel? What is this. >>7940007 Thank you. Someone who FINALLY taking a critique in the correct way, shown here, >>7940209 Kudos. Learn from everyone's mistakes in this thread and don't get caught up in your own ego. Well done and good luck.
>>7940235 >2026 >Still avoiding drawing hands >Can't draw stomachs or hips >Still drawing the same backgrounds How. I didn't think it could get worse. But it has. This is what stagnation looks like. Unbelievable.
>>7940460 >Why is she wearing a crown. What about that conveys movement... Why does she (he?) have weird sciatic pain lines? it was supposed to be a "shock" mark you see in stuff like manga. And the context of the image was that she's irritated about her dress getting wedged up her butt(again), so those lines were supposed to show annoyance and draw attention to the butt. I was pretty haphazard with all those effects and it looks like my visual story telling also sucks dick since the drawing got misunderstood so badly. Back to the drawing board! >>7939937 Do you manually draw those effects and text bubbles cause they look nice
>>7940484 >Why would you type out LOUD INTERCOURSE (FULL VOLUME) rather than use the proper onomatopoeia? Why is there a GIANT arrow pointing down at the second "panel" Actually very valid crit
>>7940517 I think its off to a really strong start with the color and shading but the thing that catches my eye the most is the anatomy. I dont think the top of her right leg transitions into her waist well so it almost looks disconnected in a sense like its something attached rather than naturally occurring in the body. And while im not entirely sure on this, it looks like that her neck is a little too stretched out which also makes parts of her upper chest look a little longer than usual. Im not a pro artist though so id be sure to get a second opinion, best of luck!
>>7940517 Anatomy and gesture too stiff and straight. She's a plank wearing human skin. The torso is straight (props for some twisting of hips and rib cage), her right arm is straight and stif, her neck is stiff and doesn't look comfortable. Her head is bit tilted, yay but the hair hangs boring way.
When you draw erotica you want to convey feel, passion, whatever your kink is. She's wearing fetish outfit which is good. But in big picture, what do we see? Naked lady in sexy get up awkwardly posing. The platform is boring, the pillow is horrendous, her eye is nice, her mouth is just there, the background is light brown (such erotica, such atmo, wow!)
Think about your personal fantasies. What makes them erotic for you? How does the person you desire act, carry themselves, what feeling is pushing through?
>>7940517 The first thing I'd advice is giving it a more dynamic perspective that's closer to the subject. But without going there and redrawing the whole thing, I think there are still things you can do. Here are some tips: - Generally try avoiding parallel direction/size elements if you can. This can be anything body parts, to shape of light hitting objects, to sizes of different rocks in a formation. - Try using light that illuminates the picture unevenly. - These are all just options to add more contrast. Bitches love contrast. So contrast, contrast, contrast. - I didn't use crop the images, but if you aren't planning to use up all that empty space or have it serve some purpose, I recommend you give it a bold trim. I think I was going to write something more elaborate that wasn't covered, but I think I'll just let the image do the potential helping.
As a sidenote: While the mood of discussion can get quite ugly at times (often for seemingly no good reason), I encourage people to use images as part of the critique. It doesn't need to be perfect, or even great. As long as it's helpful and hopefully drives the point home, then it's all good. And even if the image isn't helpful, then using an image has served its purpose discrediting the value of the critique, which is a pro too.
>>7940628 >Do you manually draw those effects and text bubbles how else would I draw them, with a shape tool? it'd look bad >>7940707 I thought it'd be more amusing than putting onomatopoeia there, same with wording it inappropriately formal like that. the arrow, same thing, I thought it'd make a funny transition. 'we'll just chill in the living room' *em-dash to indicate a quick cut* *large accusatory arrow pointing at them jerking off*
but if people are confused then I didn't make it work
>>7940891 It worked because descriping the sound like that is valid for it being from a device instead of the characters in the panel moaning. It's a common trope
>>7940982 those type of comics are a nice case of study in the matter of "show, don't tell", because they're not showing anything, they are outright telling you. Think about memes of today and how they're generally bloated with text... now realize who these type of comics and memes are made for and for how long these type of media is expected to be consumed.
But ironically, it has a purpose of why they're like that; they're supposed to be easily digestible and informative about the thing they're showing, more akin to propaganda.
in the case of this >>7939937 The context is already there and obvious as well you don't need to tell the viewer they are watching porn... in a porn comic where both characters are jerking off Also the arrow pointing towards the next panel, which makes up the majority of the picture i can already see; is pointless.
Like; if you want to draw a comic of a woman with her tits out, you don't let her say something like >"uwu look at my titties!" You just show the tits.
>>7940982 >>7941000 >those type of comics are a nice case of study in the matter of "show, don't tell" Ironic to say this in response to a Stan Kelly comic and then complain about people explaining the joke.
>>7941016 Hahaha, you say >>7941008 and then can't even come up with some bullshit to cover your ass. That's way more embarrassing than just admitting you didn't know it was a satirical comic.
