I start of with spring thunder
https://soundcloud.com/mslashk/m-2019-rearrange
Then Dawnflyer
https://soundcloud.com/chronosrecord/dawn-flyer
after Windmill
https://soundcloud.com/chronosrecord/2017-m3-autumnwindy-island-06windmill
Then it splits depending what I'm drawing, If I'm working on my OC story I could go with
https://soundcloud.com/yyyamamo/kucsxoztna9i
or if I'm working on my wolf I go with Highlander
https://soundcloud.com/hiyamavln/2hours-dtm-highlander
then
https://soundcloud.com/hiyamavln/skeb-commision-braves-and-dragon
Eventually I get to
https://soundcloud.com/hiyamavln/2hours-dtm-petrichor
and somewhere in the mix
https://soundcloud.com/chronosrecord/hira-hira
afterwords it's like FFXII calming tracks like
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNk_sfbyIkM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrb2ykjv29w
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btpvEk4Epi0
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IjxhG439ng8
And FFX Besaid island. Afterwards I put my all music on random, I used yt-dlp to download mixes as opus files to discover new music. I really yearn for more irish sounding training montage battle music or fantasy montage but they're all on soundcloud made by hobbyists a decade ago, it's a curse to have specific tastes in music

Podcasts. Currently, I'm listening through the Spinechill podcast, which is a group of dudes who are talking about their love for asymmetrical multiplayer games - I don't actually care too much about topic, and have no plans of playing any of the games they're talking about, but I do love hearing people chat about things they're passionate about.
It's also interesting just hearing them dissect what's working and not working from a game design perspective.

I find podcasts are great to draw to, because they work as natural timekeepers for your sessions. Draw while the podcast is on, and have a break when it finishes.
Have trouble starting your drawing session? Put the podcast in your playlist, and tell yourself you'll start drawing as soon as that podcast starts (just have everything ready to do so, but don't start yet) - I find it always motivates me to begin, if I'm procrastinating.

If we're talking music that we're enjoying listening to while drawing, I usually only have it on before or after a podcast between drawing sessions, but lately I've really dug Roger Eno:

vaporwave
like haircuts for men or macroblank
might be cheap '''''remixes'''' and sometimes even ai but its excellent soft relaxing instrumental stuff that drowns out other noises but doesnt really draw attention either

also BIG fan of the
>really awesome fan sound [12 hours]
or
>gentle rain and thunder sounds [12 hours]
genre

I have assigned a theme songs for each of my characters, so when I doing drafts or layouts I'll listen to those. Although once I get down to like secondaries like constructions, inking and coloring, I generally listen to some sort of talks, like true crime documentaries, current events commentaries or just nothing.

An example of a character that I associated with their theme songs.

whats the worst one here in your opinion
>>
I listen to drama slop like Kino Casino or Christian slop like The Lord of Spirits podcast.
>>
>>7938339
I listen to drama slop as well, With the whole quartering thing I've been widening my listening to Mikeynohmore MemeCopium and Brittany Venti. Nohmore is funny, and MemeCopium is chill and gets to the content fast, Venti is odd because she is kind of hot and she acts so much like a teenage girl. I realized today that the far apart eyes isn't the thing that bothers me but how low her lips are, it looks like someone stole a bit of her upperlip. Monday is going to be crazy tho, Quatering keeps making it worse!

mukbangs or videos of people eating. no idea why it helps so much, i think it's because i'm a little repulsed by the noises and so my brain desperately tries to focus on art instead

Are there any instructional podcasts/audio books about how to draw better?

I listen to Yen_BM (Chris)'s streams + some lofi hiphop, it feels like drawing with someone, and I have to ask, are there other people who stream their drawings while talking (I prefer animation)

Lately I've been rotating between vocaloid/metal (inbakumori, utsu-p, mastodon, pantera, etc) and alt-country (sierra ferrell, sturgill simpson, etc) playlists
