>>7935660 your japanese sucks but whatever that freak shit is it looks cute ish. the chainsaw isn't on the middle of the head, though, it looks off center
lol this reminds me of that one time a couple years ago around october where we had like 5 active threads on the catalog and people were losing their shit. The OP collages were sick af though. OP if ur gonna spam the catty then make the OP collages cool af so we can relish their seethe ty
>>7935706 It's just a bad composition with the right side having more empty space than the left (or the left needing more empty space) when the object of interest is that symmetrical.
>>7935708 ayrt Idiot question, but are there any instances you can think of that would use empty space on one side more effectively? Wondering if there's a weird way to solve their issue that isn't just busying the composition further.
>>7935711 I don't have any suggestions for that without adding more elements to the drawing which would change the whole idea. Cropping is the easiest change that doesn't alter his idea. I think for this kind of image you're basically stuck using rule of thirds.
what's up anons. what is wrong with my construction\anatomy\geometry here? also I'm having trouble drawing the stomach from this angle, hard to find appealing lines
>>7935781 To draw a foot from below, draw a stereotypical foot print and build upwards. Draw the foot like a paw. Break the foot into parts or something. Use a reference.
>>7935781 Not to be a "just draw" prick but copying pics of feet and making sure the copies are at least somewhat believable is the bare minimum before you move onto stuff like the skeleton/muscles. This is what I got to by ONLY copying feet, I didn't study the anatomy/bones/muscles or anything like that yet.
>>7935781 >>7935812 For reference, here's where I started (this is proof so you can see that I wasn't decent already at drawing feet; and also proof that I'm not just making shit up.)
>>7935820 >linefag, digital: I hope audience won't call me out for using the tools specifically to speed up my work
>linefag, tradtional: WHY THE FUCK DID I THINK HATCHING WAS A GOOD IDEA TO SUPPLEMENT MY STUDY OF LIGHT AND SHADOWS AGAIN??!! WHY THE FUCK IS NIB SO FUCKING HARD AAAAHH NOOOOOOOOOOOOO OH THIS BRUSH MUST BE GOOD FOR THE WRIST I SUCK AT BALLPOINTS AND MICRONS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA HOW DID GOLDEN AGE AMERICANS AND KIM BANG GI DRAW WITH THIS FUCKING THINGS FUC KING FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
>>7935835 Back when this place used to draw there were types of artists like, the sketchfag, the turd polisher, the mercwipfag, the weebfag, tradchads, and the ocfag. The linefag is basically a devolved sketchfag
>>7935721 idk about this angle too much but it seems like you rotated the lower leg needlessly? The knee barely rotates its basically straight >>7935739 this is only because you've lost your critical eye and you're more comfortable with worse drawings, never stop the negative thoughts.
Sometimes I pretend I'm good enough to have people either miss me or look up to me... >>7935847 Can two classes not overlap with similar abilities? A turd polishing weeb ocfag?
i only had 30 minutes today and this is what I created in that time span. Gesture drawing doesn't seem beneficial when it's a close up like this. Even with references it's fucking dogshit what I make. I want a bullet to my cranium.
How do I stay motivated? I'm putting in the hours and I'm not just mindlessly watching videos but it feels like I'm barely improving. Then I see other people's art and the skill level they're at just really feels unreachable
>>7936069 Pawell is the king permabeg. You can see his work on Deviantart. He used to post here a lot. >>7936075 We are on an art site you guy love to type more than drawing imo.
>>7936153 I looked at defination of high-/beg/ and you are not fitting in there faggot. I am sure you are very aware of this and yet you called yourself a /beg/. What are you trying to hide so hard?
>>7936162 you admire finalized rendered works yet i have never seen you go beyond basic implied values. It feels like you are painfully afraid stepping outside of your comfort sketches, they look nice you and you know it and that's why you stick with them instead of reaching beyond. Just start getting into rendering you fuck even if it makes you feel like the biggest prebeg loser again. Also sign your work maybe you are worried somewhere inside that people won't recognize it's you when you try something else.
>>7936172 What you said is 100% correct. I will post some Value study after finish Art and science of drawing for you. Wait for me :) Painting and Rendering can be very intimidating.
Is purple brush guy just an attention whore? "I'm just a /beg/ guys! I'm just a beg!" Despite being aple to draw and replicate difficult topics? How long has he done this?
I'll finish this on my break. >>7936224 ...you got me... >>7936226 We're all 7 year anons >>7936228 Only when I feel like it. >>7936229 Based Keep posting in this thread
>>7936137 if this is int then what the fuck is pro or advanced? You are a fucking retard Good to know when you say "no one here is int" you mean "no one here is an experienced professional", no shit faggot
>>7936236 You are too kind Peril. >>7936245 I am making my way through Bridgman and Morpho book. About half of the Human Machine and finished Morpho Simplified Forms.
>>7936276 >completely missed the hairline by a mile >pecs are weirdly placed
The entire thing is weird, it's like proto-AI . the "artist" chink wastes more time rendering (something everyone can do) than actually drawing the thing and just photobashes the composition
>>7936299 >mad cuz bad sure, I'll be that if you want. really though I wish I was jealous of that kind of industrial illustration. but something about that photobash process in the video just makes me want to vomit. guy really can't draw a face and decides to paste a pic of the rock in. seriously, at that point just generate an image and paint over it a bit
Why do people who shit talk art never post their work? Could it be perhaps that they in fact are not as good as they fantasize themselves to be? That their facade of superiority would immediately crumble? Are they that insecure in their skills that they can't stand by their insults? El classico
I yearn for the crabs to actually be able to stand by their insults and make me swallow my words. Please! Can any shit talking artists ITT PLEASE PYW! I BEG YOU! SURELY ONE OF YOU ISN'T AN ABSOLUTE FUCKING COWARD THAT'S ONLY COMFORTABLE SLINGING INSULTS FROM ANONYMITY?? PLEASE HUMBLE US WITH YOUR SKILLS! I CAN AT LEAST RESPECT ARROGANCE AND DISRESPECT IF YOU CAN BACK IT UP! COME ON!!! IM ON MY KNEES IM BEGGING
>>7936318 That's what I'm saying. If anything you'd become notorious for being a skilled artist that just prowls this board to demoralize people less skilled than you lmfao.
>>7936311 its interesting to me that the ones who are normal and dont crab are the ones that post artwork but its always the people who dont post work at all who crab
ive never once seen someone who was genuinely good at drawing be a crab even though that bar is pretty fucking low on this site >>7936337 i am of the belief that almost no artist does original work and does some sort of copy, whether inspired or a direct copy
>>7936334 I've been dicking around on /ic/ fo fun, drawing about a dozen of pictures a month since 2022. Then, I join dad on 2024 and start drawing daily from that day on.
>>7936340 >ive never once seen someone who was genuinely good at drawing be a crab even though that bar is pretty fucking low on this site some of you people aren't real. It has to be psyops.
>>7936336 if it counts purple, I saw you calling yourself beg above and I wanted to say that I think you are well above beg and very good . beautiful goat earlier by the way. it makes me feel sad to see you seem almost down on yourself or reduce your art, you are a very skilled person And your stuff is beautiful . I understand that your standards for yourself are high, but your animal sketches are deeply admirable to me and I'd love to be able to capture similar details someday
>>7936349 it's an obvious humblebrag /int/ troll almost no one who really thinks of themselves as a beginner is going to post their actual beginner artwork on socials this is the same level of insufferably from >hehe quick sketch on a cleaned up lineart drawing
>>7936110 >beg I can't have you calling yourself /beg/ fellow daddie because I consider you better than myself and my ego won't allow me to consider myself beg anymore.
>>7936357 man I'm so jealous of your shit you have no idea, so much sexy men and your sketches are so solid, know I always admire your work and think you're already awesome!
>>7936110 don't do this shit ever again. I like you, this is in poor taste and I thought better of you, you don't need to do whatever it you're trying to do here. It's dishonest at best and attention whoring at worst. You're clearly at a level to where if you wanted to lowball yourself you'd say low to mid int.
>>7936195 >The horse one is high /int/ even by /ic/ bullshit graph standards it surpasses /int/ easily. youre brainwashed or delusional. just by pure logic, anything beyond absolute beginner is intermediate, as in inbetween beginner and advanced, which is most of this bullshit thread.
>>7936352 I don't know he's been around for a while so I'm more likely to take him and ernest about this stuff. I feel like if he was just a tendency can he would have done it sooner. maybe I'm naive
>>7936346 >I see why people opt for discords. yeah if youre talented. being a beg in a cord results in everyone ghosting me eventually i fucking hate artists
>>7936394 >everyone ghosting me It's not because you're beg, it's because you're unbearable to be around and hang out with. Learn to be less retarded and pleasant to be around
>>7936446 > is screenless tablet really such a fucking limiter?
Not from what I hear. Apparently there are many great artists that use screenless tablets (krekkov for instance). I think screens are nice though, so I'm with you.
>>7936454 Gunna grid this bitch. I found Grid Drawings to be a nice handicap for when everything you draw feels like shit. At least in the beginning when observational drawing is still a struggle. I don't have any proof of this but seeing other artists who are already good at this, it seems like drawing turns into easy mode once you can actually draw what you see and don't need tools or cheats anymore to copy something well. Maybe it's just survivorship bias: the people who actually enjoy drawing, and drawing seems easy to them, are the ones who copy well rather than the ability making drawing more enjoyable. I aim to prove that theory wrong. IN the meantime, I'll have to accept this setback.
>>7936446 i dont really think so but also it took me years to completely stop caring about how the tablet's surface feels what bothers me is my own skill, not the screened/screenless etc..
>>7936460 Okay, I'm done. I'm getting that feeling that I usually get when I want to quit. I can try to quit but that never works. I just come back to it later. It always happens towards the end of the week too. For now, I'm just going to take a break and get back into writing. Maybe try a grid drawing or two. Then I'll get back into it on Monday.
Really hope that one day I'm good enough where I can consistently draw well rather than having to take a few days off to recover from the frustration/burnout...
>>7936537 i love you peril, this looks adorable! especially the eyebrows :DD >>7936197 i tried but the moment it became a ''u Have to draw'' it sucks out all the fun for me
>>7936015 Tried to expand upon this (another hour wasted). I know the hands are clipping through the tits but by the time I got to the hair it was too late and I dont' know how to fix it.
I'll give you credit for attempting a tough angle, but you should really work from reference when so you have a guide for those parts you get stuck on. pinterest is pretty good at getting ideas similar to what you want. the >>>/ic/ref thread can also be good for finding image packs. basically, don't force yourself to guess when you aren't sure how to proceed.
as for hands, you can pose them doing something else. they can cup the breasts from below, or you can extend the arms upwards and hide the hands behind the head.
>>7936588 I have no excuse, I was using a reference. I tried to draw her naked however and expanded the breast size. Nice low angle. >>7936491 This is cool.
ah ok, then there are just a couple tweaks you need to make to match the reference. have the elbows come out more and shrink the head. try overlaying a grid on the reference. put a similar grid on your canvas. then you can see the differences and try to match the shapes
>>7936838 I was trying to copy it but it's too fucking hard, my brain is in the dump right now and i can't really tell where is the horizon line but yeah shit's fucked yo
>>7936759 Its a slime that will infect you with some goo the second it touches you, after some time you will be dissolved into a small slime minion that will seek to dissolve others.
>>7936754 I might need an example because i didnt get that.
>>7936276 It's more like /adv/ but they still have room to improve before true mastery. I don't think the progress in skill is linear. It's more exponential with the higher you go the harder it is to get to the next level.
for next time: advice on planning out the lower body, when not all of the image is visible? how is the color scheme? i wanted the dress and couple to be the vocal point.
>>7937519 >advice on planning out the lower body, when not all of the image is visible? Usually I draw the entire figure and then crop out what I'm too lazy to full render lol
Why can't i learn drawing in a month what the fuuuuck i hate seeing my shitty drawings and the weekend is gonna end soon and ill have to wageslave again and do other things so little time to draw 2.5-5 hours daily is not enough but i don't have more fuck fuck fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck AAAAAAAAA ill bite my fucking arm off if i don't start seeing improvement fast
>>7937834 I absolutely refuse to post them until i find it acceptable to show off to another person. Disgusting things hide. Like insects and ugly people. And that's a good thing. Either i make it or... Or i don't know anymore
>>7937232 >>7937990 >I absolutely hate this drawing I made Why? Is it just that you have a shitty attitude, or do you actually have ideas about what's wrong with it? If you already know your weak points, just work on them >how do I make it look actually good? You don't. You move on and make the next one a little better
>>7938211 pardon my attitude I didn't mean to sound like that, it's just that I am a bit peeved about it since I don't know how to make it look better. I want to draw a better one from scratch of course but don't know how to improve it hence why I asked here
>>7938317 Ha I'm just giving you shit about it since I do the same thing. Just try to relax, improving takes time Honestly cleaner, more confident lines would go a long way to making it pretty and more readable. Try sketching lightly, then rolling over with a kneaded eraser to lighten the lines. Then refine and pick a final line
