I'm practicing learning how to draw but when I draw something like a water bottle or a cup it looks so flat. Idk why the thing I'm seeing is so hard to copy on paper anons


How do u keep proportions consistent and be able to capture minute details

Grind circles and ellipses.

Find some photos of cups or bottles, print them out, and break them down into shapes and forms.

Do the marker on glass exercise from Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and use cups/glasses.

Do blind contours.

impossible to make smooth and circular things not look flat without shading.
