What canvas size do you draw on? I've started to think 9000x8000 is too large. I draw on an iPad so it's especially dumb, I can't even more my arm like that most of the time.
>>7938523 I'm just noticing that I draw "better" on smaller canvases. Probably because the lines aren't as long and I don't need to worry about them being perfect. But going smaller also feels like giving up or cowardice, y'know
>>7938548 Have you ever considered sketching on a small canvas and then cleaning it up on a larger one? I've been thinking about doing that for a while.
I dont know how people draw at such huge sizes. when you zoom out then the drawing is fucking blurry and you can't do small details without zooming in. And if you're zooming in then you're basically drawing 5x more than if you drew at a normal size.
If I want to draw like Juan Ria, I have to use the 9000x9000 or I'm fucking myself in the foot If you use less, you can absolutely make it! But you won't Juan Ria make it.
>>7939924 1800-2000 x the same. my free program limits the size and layers, and this means i’ll still have enough memory to power the usual amount of layers i need to use. sometimes when i’m hardly using any layers i increase the dimensions of the canvas as i work to start new illustrations to the side. it can become 3000 something. i usually end up with maybe 8 small simple color illustration roughs on a page. i love procreate but it’s only problem for me has always been sizing and resizing issues. if i scale down to upload, work immediately pixellates even when it doesn’t make sense to, and i’m seeing individual pixels not irregularly as i work, at 100% zoom. oh well.
