I wouldn't really find this as stupid if they established Jun simply had a fucked up time growing up, trying to live up to expectations of his childhood role models, but they pretty much told us he was going great until five years ago then then some divine beings told him to ruin his life and he was like "oh okay".

I feel like they really could have skipped Jun trying to kill White Blaze and went straight to him selling him off. It's treated like a gag anyways, and White Blaze didn't seem to care when he failed to kill him, so it essentially only exists to make Jun seem extra cruel.

It's weird that Jun had Byakuen far longer than Ryo did. When you watch the original show you get the impression that Byakuen was with him much of his life. But then the supplemental materials lay out that Ryo and Byakuen were only together for a year before Arago's invasion.

Well, the leaks said all five are supposedly alive, not sure if we will see the remaining four in the first place. Again, all it would take is some deus ex machina at either the final episode of the first cour or the very beginning of the second cour to reverse any world-ending damage to occur in the finale, and maybe we could at least see the four alive.

Serious question to everyone here, do you think this sequel will be successful enough to warrant more merch or media? From my observations of Japanese reactions, it's mid at best. Most of the viewers are fans of the original, and there are barely any fans that come from the modern generation.

Honestly, people want this to be a one-and-done thing. For some classics, one sequel is enough, and the issues of many stories getting sequels hit hard on Samurai Troopers. In fact, like with the originally proposed sequel manga, it ignored the existence of the OVAs, and the issues from the manga are starting to creep up here, not helped by the fact that it was made in the 2010's++ era where FOTM stuff has to only be run between 12-26 episodes.

If the leaks hold true (which they 100% have so far) I'd say it's a definite possibility since that's what Nasti and Ramaga's deal was for. But they could also throw in a twist that he either lied and killed them or he never captured them and have been living on the lamb in the Yoja world the whole time. And if it's the latter, I'd like to think they would've been biding their time to strike alongside Kayura and the three Demon Generals. I'd definitely like to see all of them return to kick ass.

There have been different fanart guesses so we'll have to see how close or off they wind up being.
With the modern aesthetics and how he's generally been drawn in more recent art, you'd wonder if Shuu would be skinnier or if they'd give him a chunkier appearance with age. Then there's the matter if any of the other guys would have facial hair, or if Shin gets a more masculine look to fit a deep voice.
