Hello /gg/. I am looking for a pedal power supply. I have some option paralysis so I am retardedly stuck choosing between 3 options. I am asking you lot to help tip the scales one way or another.
1) MXR Iso Brick
>Pros
I'm good on slots forever.
>Cons
I don't need the 18 V power or the variable power ones.
2) Truetone Onespot XP8
>Pros
Medium price-wise. Just as many standard slots as the Isobrick.
>Cons
Only 9V. But is this a problem?
3) Klowra Vires
>Pros
Cheapest option, sick art desu
>Cons
I cannot find a single review that doesn't appear to be sponsored. I have a hard time trusting any of the reviews or testimonials. The company's pedals seem to be trustworthy, but I'm skeptical that I'd be getting ripped off. I am worried it'll be like Donner where they lie about it being isolated.

thanks. I think probably it was the sd1, the ds1, and the wazaboost with reverb that was on the lead cause that's my usual tone nowadays. SOmeone nearby is selling a Wazacraft ds1 pretty cheap, might buy it soon if i can, then i might not need the boost cause my regular ds1 is kinda quiet and i use the BPw to make it louder.
>>129974625
yeah it is. Im trying to head in a direction of making a regular board but it's hard. I'm pretty sure imma use all BOSS pedals but there are some BOSS drives I don't have yet that I still wanna try out, like the OD-3 for instance. Someday I'll settle it and clean it up.

I got the bucketpaul for under 250. It's got stainless steel frets. I got the other bucketpaul for more than that a few years ago, it feels kinda like the Acepro is meant to be more expensive, the Acepro has stainless steel frets too, but after owning it a few years the electronics have gone out and it's had other hardware problems. I'm not sure which I want to invest in modifying.

I see clueless beginners who don't even know what an active pickup is buy them (or looking for guitars with them) all the time, at this point they're industry standard like the SM57 or foscurite scarlet, people use them because everyone else is using them
>>
>>129975716
Are you sure? For the past few years, it felt like there was a lot of hate levelled towards actives, especially EMGs, because of muh compression, muh no dynamics, muh this, muh that.
They should just be seen as another tool in the box. They are really attractive for bedroom guitarists because you won't have to get a DI box for your interface and they won't pick up any retarded frequencies from your computer, but yeah.

How do we go about it, drop a voca then you specify the time range I'm gonna wank on? Can also send the isolated and DI tracks for reamping and mastering.

Chucking me the DIs for reamping and mixing would be the way to go, though. What if you just noodle around, tell me the scale and bpm you played at, and I can build something around it?

>>129976846
It won't be in your heavy 8 string ballpark but something I've been practicing on -
https://voca.ro/1ngnzcS1xROD
B Ionian, Bminor or D Mixolydian, G Lydian?, F# Mixolydian
Trying to learn Giant Steps led me to a similar sounding progression with its sound alikes
B with third as root - D7 - GM7 - F#7
like I V I V (repeat)
Stereolab - Melodie Is a Wound
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Pat Martino - Sunny
You can mutate it as much as you like, I wanna get better at following changes and modulating stuff. Per Nilsson is one of my "newer" guitar heroes
Also I'm sure the anon who made the guitar chords track for this won't mind since he wanted to upload it to freesound with a CC license; I did the wanking
https://voca.ro/142gD48uD9Ha
Here's one a few days back when I was left with my older Baritone tuned Ibanez and a bass. This one is just in Dminor pentatonic wank moving up in minor thirds I think
time is horrible, I can set a click in my QC but still dunno how to make one in Reaper lol

good for explaining the different types of arm movement in picking and testing what works more naturally for you. I never uploaded an evaluation video because I figured it out before then but could be useful to you. I don’t think the interviews they upload are very helpful to picking. as a non-anchor elbow picker, the people they interviewed with the same technique weren’t asked to go in depth about their technique and it wasn’t analyzed much. David Grier, Jake Eddy, and Jake Workman are the people with similar technique to me, and despite Grier having 2 separate videos on the sight, did not help me at all. to get the most out of it you’ll want to pay for the mount and upload feedback videos

Normal person with zero involvement in the social norms of rock musicians here.
Other than solid cream/off white, any guitar that isnt plain brown to yellow beige with visible wood grain makes you look like an out of touch manchild playing around with a toy guitar meant for snot nosed fifteen year olds if you arent a twink and very gay and still immature if you are a twink. Ironically, your three to ten thousand dollar flame maple PRS and gibsons are as immature looking as a sparkly fender.
Also, very distorted guitar is immature and tells everyone you have very little genuine musical talent. People who play very distorted guitar are failed violinists.
>>
>>
>>129977499
its true in a way. electric guitar isnt really a real instrument for every player and a lot of guitarists cling to and shill gear that looks and sounds bad because the audience never got over linkin park and metallica and look up to the idea of recording last century’s popslop (blues rock) instead of the idea of creating new music.
julian lage is an example of a very mature guitarist. he plays real music, polyphonic, articulated, expressive, skillful, meant to sound good in person on a guitar that never held anyone with real creativity back with amps that are meant to sound good in person, not just to sound just like a mesa/booger on 11 after being recorded and put “in the mix”. he embodies treating electric guitar as a real musical instrument to produce real music to share with real people in the real world instead of a hyperconsumerist toy for producing pop music recordings.
and he still sounds better on an acoustic guitar that has 1/10th the cost and complexity of all the shit it takes to make electric guitar sound musical.
but 9/10 electric guitarists want more toggle switches, colors, flame maple, cutaways and bevels (trying to buy talent) and tonally just want their cranked up fart noises that sound like absolute dogshit in person to “cut through the mix”, and the mix is some screamo chugging slop or a bad 80s shredder impression
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>129977560
Don’t forget the pedalboards. God. What wankers. You can tell that the immaturity and stupidity of the electric guitarist is known because it is exploited.
>its a gimmicky computer effect but we drew a funny cartoon in it

Julian is just a jazz wanked. even if you deconstruct jazz and classical music it’s all scales, triads, primary and secondary dominant chords, and relative and mirrored minor chords. all that matters js that the artist expresses themselves and secondarily the listener feels something whether that is emotionally or they just tap their feet. there’s a reason none of this shit you talk about ever got popular

Got back from hoisting. The first one is great, really jazzy and relaxing, and your trem usage is tasty. That's not at all in my usual ballpark, so I gotta figure out what to do with it. Also, it's cool if it's not in the djentcore 8 stronk ballpark. I got that thing so I won't have to change tunings all the damn time.

Are Babicz bridges good?
>>
>>
>>129979883
I was at the hollywood gc with this guitar the other day. I didn’t try that one but I tried a ‘62 Strat with hella mods and a refin. Felt very different from my mij squier which is supposedly based on ‘62, I can see why they called it a slab fingerboard it’s pretty thick feeling. I like not having to worry about dinging my headstock on shit tho lol
>>
>>129979933
the best on the market. you can flip a coin if you think the saddle being in complete contact with the body helps sustain but it does help harmonics and I’ve seen every bridge on the markets and Babicz by far has the best quality when it comes to machining. they are rock solid on string height and intonation after you set them up. I put them on everything; I’m actually waiting for the p/j bass one to come back in stock but it’s been 5 months
>>
>>129979939
It’s awesome they have a bunch of famous guitars on display like Eric clapton’s strat evh’s strat very wide selection of vintage guitars and when you’re done u go to in-n-out up the street. California may be a god forsaken shithole but if you play the electric guitar and have very little aspiration beyond that it’s still a great place to be.

That's good to hear. Benton's are coming with them by default in the new series and I never really heard much about them. The full contact saddles seems like a good thing no matter what, just adding stability to it. One thing I've heard is that it's harder to palm mute ob these but I imagine that you just need to get used to it. In any case, hoping those fusion IVs come out soon, I need a hardtail one bad.

Nice. What piece is this? I always appreciate your classical vocas even if I don't always get to (you) them as 4chinz thinks I'm a mass replying spamming robot.

Neat. Nice work in getting my poorly timed chords aligned to a track, I'll have a metronome running next time.
The time I was strumming that I was thinking of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PF9msdbJROg
But yeah it's a fun progression to play with. There's an evident movement and can stick with a major/minor pentatonic wank or follow the descending chords. I'll try to post some arpeggios or other wank ideas for it later. You don't have to stick with a clipped loop of my shitty draft, it would be interesting what you would come up with in rearranging it with your 8 string

The unplugged sound only helps you determine if it has good sustain by itself without feedback. My strat is loud unplugged probably due to the cavities and the plastic pickguard acting akin to acoustic soundbooards. But when plugged into an amp, it's anemic and doesn't sustain compared to my HSH superstrat which sounds quiet unplugged in comparison.

Nice concept but didn't they have production problems causing a long wait list? An Aristides might be more attainable in a reasonable time frame if you're not going for custom specs.
>>
>>129980424
That's not a bad thing in general. But I thought his guitars were extravagantly priced and on waiting lists. Why the hell are they Korean? I just some assumed it was some private luthier who could only build so many.

Ohei. Your timing wasn't too off base, at least with those first few bars. Setting it to 121 bpm was pretty spot on. Mirroring your chords 1:1 with my 8 string could be spicy, considering the tuning I have it in, but I can give it a shot. If not, I do something like the >blues scale over a simple beat with real soul and feel again. Looking forward to your next voca, mang.

From YT comments, now it makes sense post hoc
Nice stuff man, thanks for sharing
I also liked this one https://vocaroo.com/1161XljZYXVZ
If it's not too much trouble to ask, could you also write in the titles when you upload vocas? Thanks man, nice stuff

Their dads abused them after coming home from work, drinking a few beers, lighting a cigarette and having a domestic after playing a few pentatonic licks. They want to relive that abuse because they associate it with comfort. It's the same dynamic that causes homosexuality. Fender and Gibsonfags are the trannies of the guitar world.

No. I wanted to believe the evertroonfag was just a retard, but now I know he really derailed two threads and made you samefag.

how much difference is there between an MIM telecaster and something like a Bill Crook or Danocaster? Is it as big of a difference between a 500 dollar acoustic and a 5000?
I have a mexican tele but I've never played another.

There’s some, I genuinely don’t care. I knew it had dings and general play wear so either way it is a used guitar and le heckin finish checking is nothing more than it showing its age
>>129980629
Yeah 2014 American Vintage ‘65. I love the thicker necks of these and was really toying with the idea of a cheaper used AVII ‘65 but then this popped up for even less and the original AV line is hard to beat as far as vintage spec outside of Custom Shop stuff. Not my first choice in finish but I wanted the specs of the neck and the pickups and finish comes last so a good deal for the specs is the good deal I got

>>129980911
I was hoping it was a custom shop so I could ask you how bad it was. honestly that thing is probably better than a post-covid custom shop fender. idk what’s going on over there but it’s bad and effecting all their MIA instruments

Nah my only CS is a used 2012 and that’s only because it was a sub $3k local deal and I got to check it out first. I’d be too afraid to buy a CS sight unseen, but with the AV, AVII, and AO line I’d have almost no problem sight unseen. Everything I’ve ever read about the original American Vintage line is that they’re some of the absolute best Fender’s ever done so I wasn’t too worried about this one

>Waddup, where dem shredbeds at?
Working on em, but I had to endure a weird hotel in Westborough, MA while working in some lucrative project$. Severe lack of arthoes here versus Stockbridge, so it looks like I’ll go to greener pastures in NH by mid-week.
>luckily a elf-like arthoe from San Luis Obispo this weekend came through with the nudies so my faith is restored
I’ll try to get some cool modal interchange going and feel free to request what’s good.
>love stereolab. French arthoes
