hey /n/ this is my cat rupert i was thinking about taking him on the bus to see the sights of the city but i couldnt find any rules on it, do you know if can cats go on buses
i have a cat carrier but would he be allowed out to see out the window?
>>2056672 >would he be allowed out to see out the window? I brought my cat to the vet like this for years. She would aways meow when she couldn't see outside.
>>2056685 This but for some trips that become necessary eventually you better get them used to it. Just like with putting them in the carrier in the first place. Some weirdos even like it.
>>2056685 I had a cat that would piss, shit, vomit, and drool profusely on 5 minute car rides. You'd have to be a fool to think most cats enjoy getting moved around. Gabapentin is a miracle drug for calming them down when you need to, though.>>2056686
>>2056698 >>2056690 >>2056685 most cats prefer not to be moved out of their comfort zone, they often don't even mind small apartments and the like. But a few cats do like going places, especially if they have been trained since they were smol to go out like on a leash. Some people walk their cats like dogs. All depends on the cat.
OP maybe first try to put Rupert on a leash and walk him around the neighborhood. If he's fine with that you can move on to longer trips and take him on the bus.
>>2056672 OP you don't deserve to own cats at all and neither does anyone who thinks keeping them indoors all the time only to let them out on leashes and fucking bus journeys of all things is a good idea. It's crazy how ignorant you can be of their psychology and what they find distressing. Everyone ITT condoning this is as ignorant as you and I feel sorry for your cat if that's the life you ignorantly subject it to >>2056698 And just when I thought I'd seen the worst of bad pet ownership someone recommends drugging them. You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves. Thank god cats actually enjoy their fulfilled lives where I live, what an awful thread
>>2056672 >>2064014 how do people take cats out like this aren't they worried that the cat will panic and fuck off in a random location never to be seen again
>>2071627 Eh some cats are fine with it especially when they're young or if they're accustomed. When my cat was smol I used to take her to the park on a leash and she didn't mind much
