Affirmative action ban in Iowa government sent to governor
The bill also removes anti-bias training requirements for Iowa police passed in 2020
DES MOINES — Calling affirmative action “malicious ideology,” Iowa Senate Republicans on Wednesday approved legislation banning the practice in state government, sending the bill to Gov. Kim Reynolds for her consideration.
The bill, House File 2711, would end diversity hiring policies, minority-focused programs and reporting requirements across state agencies, regents universities, K-12 public schools and the judicial branch.
The legislation also would remove a rule from a 2020 bipartisan police reform law — passed after George Floyd’s murder by Minneapolis police — that requires annual implicit bias training for all law enforcement officers in the state.
Sen. Jason Schultz, R-Schleswig, during Senate floor debate Wednesday called affirmative action programs “malicious ideology” and “toxic” policy that does not belong in state law. He noted the U.S. and Iowa Constitution declare that all men and women are equal. He said the bill puts all Iowans “on equal footing under the law.”
Sen. Janice Weiner, D-Iowa City, said affirmative action is not ideology but rather, “a simple promise that we will look everywhere for the best person for the job.” She also criticized the repeal of the police anti-bias training requirement, saying it makes Iowa communities and law enforcement officers safer.
The bill passed the Senate on a party-line, 31-15 vote, with only Republicans supporting and all Democrats opposing. Earlier this session, the bill passed the House also with only Republican support.

Not the OP, calling it "Hey can you not be racist" training is such horseshit, when apparently someone like me is racist just for existing or because I voted Republican.
>in before that didn't happen
Ibram X Kendi.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>1511120
>If you're not a racist, and truly weren't motivated by racism, then you're not racist for voting republican
Great, now tell that to Ibram X Kendi who has been a major contributor to this DEI indoctrination in schools, work, etc.
Because apparently it's not enough to just not be a racist. And as for not being racist for voting Republican, here's his exact quote:
>This Republican Party is not the party of any group of parents, but the party of white supremacy.
>>
>>
>>1511123
How's that meme go again? They didn't do it, but if they did X deserved it? This goes to show how the attempt at downplaying DEI training as "Hey can you not be racist" training is as much horseshit as the 'training' itself.
>>
>>
>>1511121
You missed my point. You're not racist for voting republican, YOU'RE JUST STUPID. That's an important bit you left out. If you're not a racist and didn't want bad things to happen to brown people, but voted republican, you voted against your own interests.
I don't know or care who that is. I don't care about DEI one way or the other. I'm much more concerned about right wing indoctrination, including posting the 10 commandments (the first of which is thou shalt have no other god before me) in public schools. This is a violation of religious liberty enshrined in the constitution (also, does the state have the authority to tell people which version of the 10 commandments are the 'correct' version?)
The republican party IS the party of white supremacists, in that it's literally who they vote for. Their agendas are also very similar, especially under the most recent president.
>>
>>1511105
>please keep voting for us retarded white conservatives
>sure we're killing the economy, started a gobal recession because we can't stop sucking Israeli cock, adding trillions to the national debt, and are protecting global pedophiles

>>
>>
>>1511129
>This is a violation of religious liberty enshrined in the constitution
The US Constitution only forbids congress from literally creating a religion.

You're an idiot. White supremacists are specifically *white* supremacists. This admin worships Israel, a jewish ethnostate.

Heard this one before as well. You don't even know what my interests are, and yet this talking point persists.
>I don't know or care who that is.
One of the main influencers in mandatory DEI indoctrination.
>I don't care about DEI one way or the other.
Then why are you here?
>I'm much more concerned about right wing indoctrination, including posting the 10 commandments
Some fucking hick town in nowhere Texas putting up a statue of the 10 commandments is not the equivalent of teaching eight year olds that they and their parents are horrible people because they're white. You'd have more of a case if that same hick town was teaching eight year olds that dinosaurs didn't exist and women aren't allowed to speak without being spoken to by their husband.
>The republican party IS the party of white supremacists, in that it's literally who they vote for.
Right back to 'waaah waah you voted for trump ur dum and I dun liek it'. You retards have been calling Trump a nazi for over a decade while he continues to suck Israeli dick.
And with that you just showed how your bias aligns with DEI's bias, which is anti-Republican. It's designed to pressure Americans to not vote for that party. In fact, let's test this right now. Is there a DEI stance or teaching that either aligns with, or can co-exist with, conservative values?

Khendi's entire argument is that 'whiteness' is to blame for systemic racism and that it's not enough to not be racist, but you need to be actively discriminatory against the majority ethnic groups for the sake of racial equity. One of his most famous quotes is
>"The only remedy for past discrimination is present discrimination"
literally all you have to do is read the source material to see he's anti-white.

legit NPC take, you were indoctrinated to believe that Republicans are racist so you just mindlessly repeat it. the average democrat is a privilaged uneducated with narcissistic tendencies. They're the sort of kid who gets mad at someone for doing something then does the exact same thing then make justifications on how its fine when they do it.
If you check reality you'll find democrats actually do tend to be the more racist and bigotted group. they just weaponize racism when its beneficial to them.
Look at the voter ID "debate" the democrats against it unironically think black people are too stupid to get an ID so they need to lower the restrictions and make it easier for them.
I'm not making this up btw look it up for the arguments against voter ID.

He says that "the most threatening racist movement" is people who oppose racism:
>The most threatening racist movement is not the alt right's unlikely drive for a White ethnostate but the regular American's drive for a 'race-neutral' one. The construct of race neutrality actually feeds White nationalist victimhood by positing the notion that any policy protecting or advancing non-White Americans toward equity is 'reverse discrimination.

>>

>Does nazi tattoo guy have a history of racism
I mean he singled out black and female nominees to be striked out of the military promotion list, renamed ships and bases named after famous people of color like Harriet Tubman, killed recognition of Black History Month and Women's History Month by the military, and literally removed hundreds of books talking about race from the military library for no reason.
Oh and he won't get his fuckass tattoos you claim he's so embarrassed by removed or covered up even though it's been 20 years and numerous people have pointed out what they represent. So yeah I'm kinda inclined to say he might actually share some beliefs with Nazis.
>>
>>1511261
First off, retard, I asked if Planter has a history of racism. Since you wanted to claim that Hegseth did. The answer is yes by the way. So you COULD maintain one standard and forgive whatever racist past Hegseth had if you're not going to hold it against Planter...
Or you could be just another double-standard having piece of shit leftist and keep whining about Hegseth cutting out DEI bullshit - the majority of things you mentioned pertaining to that, while pushing AN ACTUAL FUCKING NAZI in Maine because you don't give a shit as long as your party wins.
Just try to be honest for once. You don't give a fuck what Hegseth or Planter did, you just want a dem in office by any means necessary.
>>
>>
>>1511262
>Looks up Platner
>He literally got the tattoo covered up after apologizing for having it
Wow amazing how easy it is to do that. Oh and, you know, he didn't do all the actual nazi shit that Hegseth has been doing too.
Also why do you keep saying he had a swastika?
>>
>>1511262
Platner isn’t a nazi. He’s said some racist stuff in the past, but has apologized for them and does not appear to still hold those views.
Hegseth is part of a fascist regime. He’s doing racist things in the present, right now.
They are not the same.
>>
>>1511262
>So you COULD maintain one standard and forgive whatever racist past Hegseth had if you're not going to hold it against Planter...
>Racist past
Literally every action I cited from Hegseth he did in the last year. That's a racist present lmao.
>AN ACTUAL FUCKING NAZI
He got a stupid tattoo he covered up. Hegseth got stupid tattoos he wears proudly to this day while openly stating he wants a holy war and trying to annihilate black history from being acknowledged by the military to the point of denying promotions based on race and gender. They're not even remotely comparable lmao.
>>
>>1511265
>Wow amazing how easy it is to do that.
Welp he covered it up. I guess we can forgive all his shitposting racist comments.
Or you can admit you don't give a fuck what he says about blacks or women because he's running against a Republican and he's one of you; another retard socialist that thinks All Cops Are Bastards and wants to piss on the graves of Republicans (his words). He's another Antifa faggot, so he has your vote.
>Oh and, you know, he didn't do all the actual nazi shit that Hegseth has been doing too.
Shut the fuck up, faggot. Changing the name of a boat to an actual admiral instead of some black woman who was never in the military is not anywhere as racist as what Planter did, but I'm sure you'll cry otherwise.

You're literally saying reddit comments he made a decade ago are comparative to Hegseth actively erasing black history from the military and denying people promotions purely because he doesn't want minorities on TV with him. Cry me a fucking river over this "literal nazi" who got the one tattoo he had with any kind of vague nazi connotation covered up while a drunk with literal crusader tattoos he wears openly is the republican in charge of the military.
>Changing the name of a boat to an actual admiral instead of some black woman who was never in the military is not anywhere as racist as what Planter did, but I'm sure you'll cry otherwise.
>Yeah renaming things solely because they were named after black people is much less racist than a vaguely stereotyping reddit comment
yeah you're convincing no one.
>>
>>

Names of men who didn't give a flying fuck about DEI shit, they got the job done. >>
>>
>>
>>1511292
>Do you think Colin Motherfucking Powell sat around whining all day about how racist whitey is while leading troops in Vietnam?
Actually yes; his commander literally showed his troops the movie Brian's Song repeatedly to drill in racial harmony into their heads. Powell himself literally was assigned to crack down on a group of black soldiers after a white officer caused a race riot that led to him nearly being beaten to death. If he was alive today he'd be condemning Hegseth's shenanigans, just like he condemned Donald Trump for his racist stunts like the Birther conspiracy.
>>
>>1511297
I notice how everything you listed took place after Vietnam.
>Actually yes; his commander literally showed his troops the movie Brian's Song repeatedly to drill in racial harmony into their heads.
So promoting uniformity without any special treatment for different groups? What a racist concept. Oh if only they were as progressive as we are today!
>Powell himself literally was assigned to crack down on a group of black soldiers after a white officer caused a race riot that led to him nearly being beaten to death.

>>
>>1511298
>>1511298
>So promoting uniformity without any special treatment for different groups? What a racist concept. Oh if only they were as progressive as we are today!
Hegseth literally ordered a sweep of the military library banning books with anti-racism themes. If Brian's Song was a novel, it would've been removed and banned.
Also, Powell literally advocated for black americans to remember and celebrate their heritage. Again, he disavowed Trump and his followers, and if he had charge of the military he'd have Hegseth kicked the fuck out for his retardation.
>>
>>
>>1511299
>Hegseth literally ordered a sweep of the military library banning books with anti-racism themes.

Like Kendi going on about how racist whites are and how the Republican party is the party of white supremacy? Yeah we don't need that shit in the military, that does nothing to promote uniformity and cohesion. I ought to know.
>Also, Powell literally advocated for black americans to remember and celebrate their heritage.
So? Did Powell force mandatory cultural awareness briefings for the entire Army?

Just like I mentioned with Bragg. Not one fucking soldier on the entire fucking planet wanted that name changed, but you DEI=pushing retards couldn't handle it without bursting into tears. >They need your vote to continue their shenanigans. If you tell them 'do what I say or I won't vote', they either change or lose your support.
How?? If you don't vote then they'll just base things on the votes of those who do.
You're not going to change an existing government by just refusing to participate in it. It's not that simple, or that easy.

NTA, but yeah, that's delusional nonsense. The right literally does not want you to vote, that's why they enact so much policy designed to keep people from voting, and why Russians call in bomb threats to heavily democratic districts. Not voting is rolling over and raising your ass for them.
It's fucking retarded we have election day. We should have election week, or election month. The government should Uber people to polls like they did to get the covid vaccine. Voting should conclude when everyone has voted, or at least had a reasonable opportunity. Voting should be compulsory, and not voting should earn you a fine (after voting is made more accessible).

Can you explain how it is in my best interests to import the third world in order to reduce wages and force everybody to live in pods due to higher population density? And also how is it in my best interests, as a White male, to have the government openly discriminate against White males?

White people aren't having the necessary amount of children each generation, so cheap migrant labor is necessary to sustain economic growth.
This is due in large part to the fact that boomers fucked up the economy via inflation and now need your tax dollars to subsidize their golden years.
>>
>>1511400
We need to stop sustaining economic growth so that industries, companies, IP holders and boomers can finally go into default, and be forced by market conditions to sell their assets, lands and IPs back to new generations of whites at prices they can afford with the reduced wages relative to inflation, so that new generations can go back to the business of doing business. Importing browns is forestalling the bust part of the cycle when we literally need the bust to happen to restore market health in the long term.
No amount of importing, educating and assimilation is ever going to make Mexicans or Chinese human. Ultimately you have to do whatever needs to happen for new generations of actual people to profit and flourish or the system is useless.

Good point, but you're up against a demographic that has billions of dollars invested into their properties, and they would rather watch you get raped than see the property value of their homes plummet.

Of course they can't explain that.
This board is full of paid shills and inherently dishonest cowards.
They will attack your character instead.Call you crazy. Say that you're a NAZI etc.etc. They may even tell you that you're an incel.
They will say just about anything to avoid answering your perfectly reasonable questions.
This post here >>1511397 is a perfect example of the dishonesty and childishness of most of the shills in this thread.
Keep asking the questions anon. More and more people are noticing the pattern of their attempts to stamp out any debate that questions their dishonest and frankly traitorous ideology.

Our leaders only have the power we let them have. As in, if we want them to lose power, we have to take it from them. And that's not going to happen by just not voting. Get rid of that lazy cope.
If most of the country just didn't vote in the upcoming election, do you seriously think the powers that be would just go "welp, guess we're done" and step down? That they'd just lose all power and not be able to do anything? That's beyond delusional.

They can't explain why he should be pro importing immigrants and white racism? You're correct, no one can, that's an insane strawman.
Quit talking to yourself, but do keep asking retarded questions, it's fun to watch you get roasted.
Let me guess
>concession accept.
Even though I didn't engage, like the controlling little beta bitch you are.

After living through multiple years of covid-19 lockdowns, how can you blame the billionaires? It is obviously problems caused by a government which wants power over everything, whether or not you go to a wedding or your parents funeral, how far you are allowed to stand apart from other people. They even divided people into essential and non-essential. People they said mattered, and people they said didn't matter.
