There were 300 tons of food and supplies on that flotilla. At least 80 of it was food. The average food truck only has 15 tons, with some of them being entirely food and some of them being mixed with medical supplies (which reminder, they also need on account of how shit things are there). While there is thousands of these trucks, the problem is they're also being bottlenecked in incredibly specific areas, meaning there's giant chunks of Gaza getting absolutely nothing. And as for those "Hamas goons", they're not entirely aligned with Hamas and are instead desperate gangs focused more of making a quick buck. They're definitely making the issue worse, but at the same time Israel refuses to do jack shit about them even though they'll bomb a thousand children to kill a dozen Hamas members. And that's not even getting into how many times they lure people in with food then kill them for "crossing the ceasefire line".

The flotilla isn't going to singlehandedly solve the inflicted famine but it could've fucking helped a little bit.
