A search team recovered the body of U.S. soldier 1st Lieutenant Kendrick Lamont Key Jr. near a cliff in Cap Draa, Morocco. He went missing during a training exercise on May 2. His remains were found in the water close to where he disappeared. Another soldier is still missing, and search operations continue. The soldiers were part of the African Lion exercise, which involves U.S. forces, NATO allies, and African partners. This exercise is the largest joint military effort by AFRICOM, involving around 5,000 personnel from over 40 countries.
