Sports bikes or supermotos?

I really need to take some time off work and get this thing registered again.
It runs after pulling the fuel injection apart and cleaning it all and also getting all the rust out of the fuel tank.

Ill post some nutty shit when it is registered again.
Give me a month, needs a roadworthy, I just keep spending all my fun money on booze is my problem.

I wonder how they are to ride with their longer wheelbase. I rode an mt09 and found it shockingly unbalanced. The engine is way too big for the frame and they're basically unrideable with electronic nannies off.

It's closed to the public for about a week before the big race and then on the night after the race they install these wooden bollards and open it up to the public so I should be able to ride on track the morning after the race. But if I slide I might hit a bollard and I suspect that might hurt.

You are not a police officer
You are not a fed
You are not entitled to be an enforcer

You may be a community member but you are not one of said community members that enforces the written letter of the law. Know your role and stay in your lane Karen.

Also theres nothing wrong with guns or bikes, go move to Europe instead of mudding up America with a delusional post-modern (and naive) fantasy.

Your types love to strip away all agency from the indivdual because they can't fathom a bond of trust or personal responsibility.

Speeding is like farting, there's appropriate and inappropriate times to do it but it's a natrual human function to do it.
>tldr eat shit with a floppy straw you euro-infected entitled power tripping sub human sheep dog

>loud sound constantly
How loud is too loud? I've been hearing the wind buffeting my ears all summer and haven't lost my hearing yet.
>>

>Citizen arrest
Omegakek
You do know you are only allowed to do that when a crime is actually committed right. You can't grab someone because you alleged they went on a sidewalk due to them riding a bike you don't personally like.

Besides, if you tried to grab me then that's clearly an attempted robbery and given I fear for my life because a random crazy stranger tried grabbing me I just HAD to raise1 on the suspected burglar. It's unfortunate he didn't pull through to give his testimony, well at least the judge ruled in my favor of self defense from a crazed indivdual attempting to steal my super sport motorcycle!
>>
>>28859932
I'm not here to give you a basic science lecture, how about you do your own research and learn for yourself? Plenty of reading material on hearing / hearing damage. You may not be 100% deaf but you absolutely don't hear as well as you used to.

Are all supersport riders this delusional? I'm going to citizen arrest you and if you resist I'll scream "RAPE".
>>
>>28859940
As wholesome as that is anon, you should still learn about the effects of hearing damage/loss instead of being ignorant about it. Earing aids unironically do wonders for people who have extreme cases of it (not saying you have extreme hearing loss, but in general)
>>
>>28859942
At my age losing part of my hearing is the least of my worries. I'm more worried about being sucked under a truck or erectile disfunction.
>>
>>28859941
The only delusional one here is you thinking you can grab strangers without a badge or warrant just because they ride something you personally don't like.

I think you've never been hurt in an altercation before, and that's why you feel so entitled to be an enforcer for free.
Dw your karma is coming though, you'll play with The One and get G-checked.
>>
>>28859945

why do people love putting stickers on their dual sport so much like what's the point. I just boughted a dual sport first thing I did was removing all the stickers
>>
>>28859948
As a teen I was a crew member of a Top Fuel drag team and stood about 3 metres away from the car when it took off. The sound was so loud that my ears would ring for about fifteen minutes after every run. I didn't wear ear plugs.
In my 20s I worked in a Forge where ear plugs were mandated but I never wore them.
Today I still have perfect hearing.
>>
>>28859951

>>
>>28859966
>Have you ever had a hearing test
I was tested every six month when I worked in the Forge with no discernible results. I can still hear clearly today and don't need to take a test to decide if I can hear things.

But hey if you wanna wear ear plugs then go fo it. There's no shame in being gay in 2026.

scooters are straight but dual sports are bisexual

Hmm, yes. I was in fifth gear wide open going up hill, and my bike started acting similar to when I ran out of gas once. It was bucking a little, and it died right as I was able to pull it into a parking lot. It felt a little low on power on that last pull, but I thought I was just out of the power band. After I tilted my bike over to get the gas over to the petcock side, I tried to kick it over; but the kickstarter wouldn't budge. I'll have to perform an autopsy to see what really happened, but in the meantime, just brainstorming.

getting my license soon. 191cm / 6'3" & 125kg / 275lbs.

What kind of used bike should I get? Here in Germany there seems to be a hard floor at around 4000€ where most 10y+ old bikes settle eventually while you can also get an almost new XSR900 for 8000€, makes no sense whatsoever so I'm leaning towards newer models.

Yes I know something like the XSR900 is most likely too powerful to me but I can ride it in mode 4 (rain mode) for a while and still be safe.

you have to decide what type of bike first
scoot? touring? sport? ADV? MX?
but most would agreed that 300-600cc is a good starting point
but there is nothing wrong with low cc bikes (unless you plan to do long touring trip with it and actually want to ride super fast)
XSR125 is also good fun if you ask me, might be the best first bike even cause you dont even bike loicense for it
but personally Id just grab XADV
>>
>>28860759
I haven't fully decided yet what kind of bike I want. A Versys 650 would probably be the smartest decision (already sat on it and it felt great). I won't use it to commute, it will be a weekends-only ride. I like how retro naked bikes look but I'm not sure if I'm falling prey to marketing there. So yeah it's mostly between (retro)naked and ADV right now

Is that usd?
Idk most used bikes floor at or around that pricepoint anyway, you could probably swindle and skip the stealership fees and offload it to a nobike and make a profit though, if you keep er mint condition or add some TASTEFUL MODS you found at a scrapyard or someone elses crashsite
Just sayin, but it might not be worth the investment
On the other hand you can prob buy it, mile it out to 5k or so, upgrade, sell it for around what you paid for next year or something
But if i had that many AMERICA wulongs, id probably just get a used hardley davidson, but as a firstbike idk that might be the one you need
I cant remember, is it a ptwin or the single cylinder?
If its pisstwin thats probably good to go, if singleton id rather have a different brand dual sport, like a wr250r is the best unicorn you could ask for other than they DISCONTINUED them
Idk if used prices for one are alongside comparable market, but if you did have access to one, and i was in your shoes, knowing what i know and enjoying all that i do, id get that bike or something within the realm of offroad capable like a xr650r or drz400

What's the black stuff? Looks like the armor pads
And what bike are you thinking about? Some kind of dual sport now?
>>
>>28861340
It's very comfortable and fun! it has a stronger "umph" than the suzuki 350 but at a similar range it felt very natural coming from it, the low revs are a bit underwhelming but i'm taking it to do the ECU map recall that apparently give is a bit more power on lows, people say it's a noticeable difference and it's how it's supposed to run.
i really want to take it on some basic offroad but i must admit i'm worried to drop it.
Ideally i'd find another beta, the alp or a cheap crf300l but one is impossible to get outside of italy and the other is brand new and harder to find for cheap.

Heart’s been set on a DRZ for some time now. After riding one at socal supermoto I really really like the idea of a lightweight bike that takes the tighter corners faster with a whollotta torg at the wrist.
Top speeds aren’t that fun and take a lot of the excitement out of cornering for me.
Also being able to swap rims and ride dirt is super appealing too

i think the difference would be: this one i bought it new and while i could buy new plastics it would be "a shame" since it's more of a looker with it's fancy paint vs getting a proper beater that already fell to learn how to offroad with
>drz
i was searching for a drz-400 too but man, they are all super tall! beta alp and crf300l are the only reasonable dual sports for a manlet like me, i think that for the honder is only true because of the soft springs right? i wish small DS where sold here too, the used market is SUPER thin because there are only very old bike, full enduro stuff or the newer stuff that gets bought and re-sold immediately because it's not "le ebic adventure bike".
I tried sitting on my dad's G650XChallenge and even scooting my butt i won't touch with ONE tippy toe, i'm never getting such a bike offroad.

If you’re riding offroad at all you’re gonna drop it. Don’t know anyone that does who hasn’t. Remember, scars are cool, even on bikes.
>the only reasonable dual sports for a manlet like me
I think you’re over thinking it. I’ve got a 73ish cm inseam and I hopped on the sumo DRZ’s just fine. I had to shift my whole body off the side of the seat when stopped but it’s hardly a handicap. As long as you handle your bike good you can get your kickstand before you even have to put a foot down. I’m aware that the offroad rims raise the height significantly but still being as light as they are also helps with leaning it over while stopped too. 14 year olds ride these things anon

We are very similar height then
The drz-4SM Is actually Just 2 cm higher than my old beta so It's not a big deal (i assume the shocks are also not so stupidly stiff so It probably drops a Little more) but the normal One Is as tall as the G650X and that i already tried it's too tall i would Need to lower It. I'm used to use only the ball of One feet to stop but again, i was in a lot of trouble trying sitting on that bike i don't think It Will be much different on a drz
