Ive been doing a lot of weekend camping and bushcrafting recently with my old school bookbag and it doesnt really cut it anymore.
Any recommendations are appreciated. Preferably 40l+, and something durable Ill ideally never have to replace. My dad also has old external frame packs; if anyone has any info on modifying those Id greatly appreciate that too.
Whatever is on Craigslist. I yoinked a 65L $235 bag from some old lady for $30. She bought it to go backpacking in Europe and dropped out before she made it halfway, shit was mint.
>>2866296 Used is definitely the way to go, but I got a cheap 60l high Sierra bag from bass pro for under 100 dollars and it has been fine for the trips I took it on. I think the model is pathway
>>2866296 You can not know which backpack is good until you tried it filly loaded. This is the problem. Many can injure you badly. Pressure nerves and damage them and you will start feeling weak hands and so on.
>>2866296 check your local thrift stores. people buy expensive shit for camping and hiking, then they realize they don't like outdoorsy shit and donate it.
I just purchased a Yamatomichi MINI2 in aliexpress for 60 euridoos. I think it's the real deal, no way the chinese are making fake backpacks of this niche japanese brand nobody knows I will get back to you when I get it
>>2866296 >something durable Ill ideally never have to replace. Savotta is the answer. >made in finland/estonia >indestructable >trebuchet tested >5 years warranty
