With the Tournament of Power brought to a close, the Seventh Universe has emerged triumphant once more. Led by the Saiyan warriors, the Seventh's victory was secured. And with the wish on the Super Dragon Balls used to restore the other universes that were eliminated and erased, the final hidden trial was passed, and all eight of the universes up for elimination were allowed to remain. Yet, even with this victory, peace doesn't last in the Seventh Universe for long. As old hatreds rise and long-buried grudges resurface, will you have what it takes to keep everything you've worked the last 28 years of your life to build? Or will those who seek your end ultimately triumph? That all depends on you, and your choices.

You the players will (most often) control Karn. A Saiyan man who has grown from his lowly beginnings as a mid-tier Saiyan Brawler with a sub-3000 powerlevel in Age 733 to become not only the strongest Saiyan of his time at AGE 759, but also personal friend to the former emperor Lord Freeza, father to over a dozen powerful and unique children, a mentor and teacher to his fellow Saiyans, and the indisputable winner of the Tournament of Power. Wielder of the Berserker Soul, and the powerful Stand Divine Dragon Force, you're fully equipped to handle any threat that comes your way. But what will you do when the threats aren't always physical, when you can't simply punch all your problems away?

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

Upon learning of the Heeters from King Vegeta and after training the Prince, pushing him to the next level, Karn discovered a plot by the Tamaraneans to capture Ticho, half-Tamaranean daughter of their queen Komand'r. After helping Turles save his daughter and getting a partial confession and demonstration from one of the survivors of the plot before she was killed by her shadowy benefactor, presumably the advisor to Tamaran's throne called Kryat, Karn sent his eldest twins Tatsu and Tomi to Planet Azar to scout out the Tamaraneans and discover what they can, warned Broly of the threat so he could protect his wife, Komand'r's banished sister Koriand'r, then informed Cooler and King Cold of current events. And as we rejoin Karn, King Cold and Cooler have ended the telepathic link, leaving you standing on Raven's beach with your wife and the Guardian both standing by you.

“Well? What is it now?” your wife asks, her tone exasperated but also resolved, tired but not going to quit now.
“Nothing new. Just told Cooler and Cold everything.” you tell her, your wife visibly relaxing with a heavy sigh.
“Phew! I don't know how much more excitement I can take in one day.” she says, and as if on cue-

“Dad! Mom!” Karn Jr shouts, and you see it. Your wife's body tenses up as she turns, you tensing as well. But as your son flies over and you expand your ki sense, you feel that he's not alone. Confused and slightly worried with how the day's going, you look to your son. Only to see he's got a group of other Saiyans with him. A young girl around his age flying side-by-side with him, three others behind the two of them. And the girl's glowing aura matches his own as they fly down, the two Super Saiyans landing first. “Look! She did it!”

“H-Hello, General Karn. Meloka.” the girl says, clearly nervous. But your son's all excitement for his little friend, as the others land behind them. Also all looking up at you and your wife in awe.
“Isn't it cool? Now Zucchi and I match!” Junior says, wrapping an arm around the girl's shoulders and grinning.
“Zucchi, huh? Well done, Zucchi.” you say, the girl's eyes widening as you say her name. You then turn your attention on the others that flew down with your son, addressing them as well. “I'm sure you all can do it, if you put your minds to it and keep working hard.”

“We're gonna spar, to see just how strong she is like this!” Junior continues, and for a brief second you see a flash of worry across the new Super Saiyan's face. “Can you referee it for us?”

“You want me to ref? Sure thing kiddo.” you say with a grin, then raise your right hand. “Fighters, take your positions!”
“Yeah!” Junior shouts, leaping back from his friend and dropping into his fighting stance you've taught him. Zucchi nods to him, dropping into a more basic stance. Raising both arms up, elbows in, fists raised to just under her eyes with the backs of her hands towards your son as she almost crouches, bending her knees low. A defensive stance, not an aggressive one. “Let's go!”

“On my mark!” you call, glancing between them. “Fighters ready?”

You let the silence hang a moment, seeing both of them. How Junior's almost vibrating to blast off his feet and charge in, while Zucchi is more like a rock, standing firm, defensive and ready to meet his charge.

“GO!” you shout, dropping your hand. And, immediately, BOTH fighters charge forward. You'd thought Zucchi would defend, would wait for Junior to close in on her. But both fighters dash forward, Junior's right arm drawn back while Zucchi's arms are still up in her defensive stance. The two fighters close in, and your son strikes first. Swinging with a right, but it's a feint! He twists his hips, as if throwing a powerful, heavy opening swing. But then he reverses it into a left jab at her head. But Zucchi weaves, stepping in past his jab and firing a left uppercut right into his guts. Her blow lands clean, doubling your son over, gasping from the blow. Leaving his face wide open.
“HAAAA!” Zucchi shouts, following up her uppercut with a right straight to the face. Snapping Junior's head back, sending him flying.

“Woah!”
“She got him!”
“No way!”

The other spectating young Saiyans shout in astonishment as your son's blasted back, but he recovers swiftly. Flipping back onto his feet he charges in again, Zucchi also charging forward once more. This time your son doesn't try a feint, instead flippnig forward into a powerful right axe kick. Which Zucchi kicks off the ground, stepping aside and dodging. Using her step into a left jab at the right side of your son's head. Junior blocks this one with his right forearm, gritting his teeth as he withstands the blow.

“Tch!” HAAAA!” he retaliates with a right side kick, Zucchi bringing her left leg up. Blocking your son's kick that knocks her sliding back, only to trip and fall as she slides back on one leg. But she turns it into a roll, landing back on all fours as your son rushes in once more. Rising back to her feet, she takes her more defensive-looking guard, ready for your son's advance. But she doesn't just stand there, instead she begins weaving her upper body back and forth.

>>6368241
“Hmm?” you hum to yourself, watching as the young girl weaves her upper body in a figure-eight through the air as Junior charges forward. Blurring forward, but then stopping on a dime just outside her reach. His feint works, as she sees him coming and times his approach with a weaving heavy right hook. Only for her fist to swing through empty air, just missing your son as he stops short.
“GOTCHA!” he shouts excitedly, lunging in with a left jab that lands clean to the face. Snapping her head back, but she plants her feet, recovering and retaking her stance as the two start trading blows. Junior turns up the pressure and Zucchi returns it, the two weaving and throwing dozens of blows a second. But neither kid connects, Zucchi returning to that weaving pattern and throwing out wide hooks as your son throws straights, neither fighter connecting. That is until your son switches his technique, feinting high then dropping low. Spinning around with a sweeping back left kick, scything her legs out from under her.

“Woah?!” she exclaims as the blow steals her balance completely, Junior rising up into a right uppercut that lands clean. Slamming into her cheek, launching the girl straight into the air with his leaping blow. “GUUUH!”
“My turn!” Junior shouts, golden aura blazing as he dashes up after her. Launching once more into a fierce attack, but once more Zucchi recovers. Returning to her bobbing and weaving defense, your son's blows not landing. But neither do her return strikes either, your son's defenses holding firm.
“You ever seen someone fight like that?” your wife asks, floating up and hanging off your back, arms wrapped around your neck as she rests her chin on your head. “It's... Different.”

“Different's a good word for it. Reminds me of Camali, for some reason.” you reply, remembering going a round with the camel all those years ago after the siege. Realizing you'd never really watched what it does throughout the day, perhaps it has been teaching some of your people how a former champion like itself fights?
“HAAAAAA!” both children shout, their right fists slamming into one another's. The shock wave from their blow knocks the three other children their age over, who all shout in surprise and wonder at their friends' power. And with the clash both are knocked away from one another, floating in the air staring each other down. Your son, surprisingly, seemingly more tired than Zucchi as her breathing's more controlled. But you can see the strain in her face, as your son's back is currently to you.

While I expected Junior to figure out the Peekaboo style's range, I wonder if Zucchi picked up on that. She'd do well to focus on trapping her opponents before closing in.

You watch on silently as the two young children catch their breath, each studying the other. Zucchi watches your son for a second, her eyes widening in a sudden realization. And without hesitation they immediately narrow as she dashes in. As if realizing, for the first time, she's WINNING against him, that she could actually win this. Which catches your son by surprise, clearly not expecting her to charge in. He raises his arms defensively, but he's a beat too slow as she comes in guns blazing with a heavy right. Her blow rocks him, knocking him back. Leaving him wide open as she closes in, following it with a left uppercut to the guts once again. Your son gasps in pain, arms going down and wrapping around his guts. Leaving his face wide-open, Zucchi following her left with a right uppercut towards his jaw.

“You got him!”
“Finish it!”
“Junior, look out!”

The other kids shout, but your son sees it coming. And leaning his head to his left, her fist only brushes his cheek instead of landing flush. Your son, narrowly dodging the blow begins to twist his hips clockwise. And from here you can see the shock in her eyes, having thought the match was over as your son twists into a heavy left hook to her ribs under her upraised arm.

“Ghlurk?!” she wheezes as she's knocked back, your son's aura blazing higher as he charges after her. Looking to end the fight now, before she can recover. But Zucchi's a tough one, as even though you can see she can't breathe, still raises her arms defensively. Not giving up, even despite her face being twisted in pain from his heavy shot.
“HAAAAAAA!!” he roars, coming in with a heavy right. Forcing Zucchi entirely on the defensive, shelling up as he unleashes a fierce barrage of heavy blows. But she blocks them all, giving ground under his assault and letting him push her back. Circling backwards, letting him press the attack.

“She's drawing him in.” your wife comments, watching the fight closely. “She's letting him wear himself out. Should we tell him?”
“No. This will be a good lesson.” you reply as Junior attacks more and more fiercely. Not relenting as he pushes himself harder and harder. Clearly thinking she's still weak from that good shot, that she's only one or two more solid hits away from going down. And she draws him into that, letting him press his aggression and wear himself out against her defenses.
“HAAAAA! HRRAAA! HYAAH! HAAAAA!” he roars, attacking relentlessly. Giving everything he's got, pushing himself to the limit. But as he roars, you see it: his pace has started to falter! “HIYAAAH!”

His punches swing wider and wilder, trying to keep the pace as he gets more and more tired. But Zucchi doesn't fire back yet, studying your son carefully from behind her guard as she starts weaving again. And Junior's punches start missing, his wide swings leaving him wide open. But still Zucchi doesn't capitalize, and for a moment you start to think perhaps Chilli did more damage than you'd thought, leaving her unable to swing back. But, instead, you watch as she keeps weaving faster and faster, until your son stops swinging, seemingly realizing what's about to happen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Al0f2jDe06U

“Sh-Shit!” he gasps then tries to back up, to raise his arms defensively to protect him from her coming assault. But it's too late, as the young woman goes on the attack. Weaving her figure eight through the air with her upper body, closing in as she starts throwing hooks with her weaving. Using the full power of her upper body and the momentum of her movement, throwing it all into each punch. Her fists slice the air, each blow landing like a hammer against your son's head. Not giving him a chance to even fall the repeated left-right of her punches keeping him from being knocked back. Over and over and over her heavy blows land, until with a final left to the jaw she sends him flying. Arcing through the air, tumbling and clearly unconscious as he falls. Your wife, immediately dashes off your back, flying over and catching him as you raise your right hand.

“Zucchi is the winner!” you declare into the silence, the only sounds that of the waves and Zucchi's heavy breathing. The other three young Saiyans are all staring up at her, wide-eyed and slack-jawed in disbelief. The silence hangs for a second, then two before all three cheer, flying up towards her. She turns, seeing her friends approach and smiling before all three tackle her out of the air, all speaking a thousand miles a second as they four all crash to the sand. Your wife, gently holding and caressing your son's hair, whispers something to him as he's out cold.
“Well. That was... Impressive.” Raven says, you glancing to her and seeing her clear surprise as well. “Was a hell of a technique at the end.
“Simple, but effective.” you reply, nodding along as the trio hold the girl, now no longer in her Super Saiyan form over their heads, toss and catch her repeatedly.

Which just leaves one question: what now?
>Go over and congratulate Zucchi, then ask who taught her to fight like that

>Stay where you are and just watch, see what the girl does next and how she reacts to winning her fight against your son when their friends stop throwing her
She's probably just gave Junior the greatest gift he could have asked for. Rivalries are rare, especially for somebody like our boy.
Anyways, I'm glad Junior decided to be a gentleman and stick to base Super Saiyan for this bout, even if it meant getting his shit rocked. He's got a lot to learn, but his attitude and demeanor are years beyond what his age would suggest.

Yeah. He could very easily lapse in skill thanks to his overwhelming power, so I think getting checked like this is a good thing for him in the long run.

With a chin and hands like that, she might even give some of our senior students some trouble. On that note, she should definitely drop by our class sometime. God knows some of the brawlers could use a simple super like that.

You remain where you are, watching the celebration of the younger Saiyans. Listening to them, you hear a few interesting tidbits of their conversations. Including that your son Junior hadn't lost a fight against any of them yet, due to the insane power gap he has for being born a Super Saiyan.

“You did it, I can't believe it!”
“That was awesome!”
“I knew you could do it!”

They all cheer, finally setting her down. And standing on shaky legs, Zucchi walks over to your wife, holding your son still. She approaches him, and for a split-second you see your wife's natural fury spark behind her eyes. But then she sighs out, letting that tension fade and not lashing out at the girl. She walks right up to Karn Jr, leaning in and whispering something you can't hear. And he stirs, eyes slowly opening and sees her. You wonder how he'll react, if he'll be angry he lost, if he'll keep trying to fight. But then you see him smile, trying to sit up in your wife's arms.

“You got me! You actually got me!” he says, sounding excited. And then lunges, wrapping his arms around her shoulders, hugging her. “You did it Zucchi! You were amazing!”
“A-Amazing?” she replies, eyes wide. Looking around as if looking for support, for someone to say anything. But, after a moment she reaches up, wrapping her arms around your boy as well. And in the silence, in this peaceful moment, suddenly both kids' stomachs growl audibly. To which they both pull back a bit, blushing slightly before they both laugh. Their laughter is infectious, spreading to everyone gathered as you all laugh. You feel something in your chest loosen, the tension from the day fading away as you step forward.

“How about we all celebrate with supper at my place?” you say, taking a step forward. “A celebration for Zucchi's win.”
“Really?!” Junior says excitedly, springing up and out of your wife's arms, taking Zucchi's hands in his own. “Let's go, come on!”
“Wh-?” is all she has time to reply before he flies up into the air, practically dragging her along with him. You then turn to their other friends, then call to them.

“The three of you are welcome to join us all as well.” you tell them, seeing their eyes go wide.
“R-Really?” one asks, to which you nod as you raise up into the the air.
“Really. Come on, let's go.” you say, then take off after your youngest son flying over the sea towards your home.

You all fly over the sea, over the waves as you quickly approach your home. The familiar beach comes into sight, you all landing right outside your home. Going inside and everyone settles down inside your mess hall, Silver's apprentices and helpers bringing out plate after plate of food. While you listen to the five of them all talking, celebrating Zucchi's win. And, to your surprise, Karn Junior seems the most excited of everyone, telling his siblings about his fight eagerly. You all eat together, enjoying Silver's expert work and devouring the meal to the last bite.

Once your supper's done, everyone sitting around, relaxed. You take a deep breath, sighing out, relaxing as you lean back a bit. Looking over your gathered family, leaving only one thing left to decide: what will you do now? You have some time left before night falls and you need to rest, but what will you choose to do with it?

“Karn? Where are you going?” your wife asks as you stand and stretch, then turn to her.
“Gonna go grab a quick workout, get some reps in.” you reply, then add telepathically. “Only have one week, need to make sure it counts.”
“Okay. Good luck.” she replies, you both mutually ending the mental link as you make your way to the gravity chamber where you'd trained Prince Vegeta V not that long ago. Heading to the door you find the chamber empty, then walk up to the dial and crank it high. Turning it back up, letting the familiar, heavy weight settle on your shoulders as you start your own warm up.

However, as you run through your opening sets of a thousand, your mind keeps flashing back to how Zucchi was fighting your son. How she was weaving her body back and forth, dodging his strikes and building momentum for that powerful rush at the end. And as you get a decent sweat going, decide that's what you're going to work on, how you're going to push yourself. So, crossing your arms, you activate the Multiform technique. Splitting yourself into four separate Karn. The gravity increases fourfold, or at least it feels that way to each of your bodies' fourthed powerlevels. The weight slamming down onto each of you, causing all eight knees to tremble and nearly buckle. But each of you power through, pairing off into one-on-ones. Where two of you attempt those same swaying movements, to try and copy that technique.

Immediately, you discover the technique really only works with that same guard she was using, so each of your bodies attempting to do so take that same defensive stance. Then the weaving, back-and-forth. But you instantly realize that it's far more complex than it had looked from the outside. To do that defensive weaving isn't just in the hips, but is a full-body movement. Starting from the ankles and knees, shifting the body weight back and forth, then the hips shifting as well. But that's not all, as you also have to move your back and even neck to get that same full-body weaving pattern. And right as you start to get it, the heavy gravity starts taking its toll on you. Forcing you to stop, lowering the gravity back down to only fifty times New Salda's gravity before resuming your experimentation and training with this new technique. And at only fifty times, as you resume trying out this technique, you can feel the difference. Your bodies, which alternate who's swaying and who is observing, all soon get down the movements. Replicating the intricate, flowing, ceaseless motion. Until all four of your bodies can do it simultaneously, all four of your yous in perfect sync.

cont
>>
>>6368421
Now that you've got the movement down, have the motion correct, it's time to take it to the next level. Choosing the first two of you who'd started with the weave, you have them start adding those same heavy, powerful hooks in with the weaving. Two attackers and two defenders, to see just how powerful this attack really can be. So the two attackers start the weave back up, which only takes a second. Then, revved at full speed they move forward, weaving and throwing heavy hooks with each weave. Your two defending bodies raise your arms to defend, but that is quickly proven ineffective. As the blows land they get heavier, stronger, throwing the defenders' arms wider and wider with each shot. Battering them defenders back and forth until, inevitably, breaking their guards and landing powerful, heavy hooks to their heads. Each heavy punch flowing into the next, until, in perfect sync, the attackers both drop their defenders hard to the floor. Leaving your two attackers standing over them, breathing heavy.

-Mystery Weaving Technique Unlocked-

However, as you both stand over your downed selves, the two of you not seeing stars have realized the weaknesses of this technique. First and foremost, that it's a very easy attack to predict. If you know what it is, know your opponent is going for it, then there are several easy ways to defeat it. First, you can simply dash back, leaving the attacker's effective range as they swing and then whiff. Leaving them wide-open to any ranged attack before they could recover. Second, with good timing, you could land devastating counterattacks into the opponent's face. Swaying back and forth, putting their full body weight into the heavy punches, if you attack them right into their attack before they can build it up, you'd stuff their attack before they could build any momentum.

And, finally, there's also another method. If you can stop the weaving before they can build momentum for those heavy punches, either by going low and sweeping the legs as Junior'd done early in his fight with her or by charging in and slamming bodily into them, then the attack's useless. That second or so of wind-up time is crucial. Easily enough done when your opponent's on the offense, swinging and focusing on trying to hit you up top. But against an experienced opponent who'd attack your structure, switching levels and going low, it won't work. The attack's best used as a finisher, when your opponent's too tired to react or think ahead, too focused on hitting you. Just like how Zucchi'd played your son, drawing him in then countering with a devastating string of heavy blows.

“Definitely need to figure out who taught her to fight like that.” you mutter to yourselves, your standing bodies helping your downed selves up, then all of you re-merging into yourself before getting into your workout proper.

And for the next half hour or so, after cranking the gravity back up to one hundred times New Salda's gravity, you push your body through your heavy workout. Set after set, rep after rep you give it your best. Pushing your body until you're pouring sweat and gasping on the ground, wiped out. Leaving you laying there for a minute or two before tiredly, shakily pushing yourself back to your feet, going to the controls and turning the chamber off. The lights return to normal as you go to the door, but just before you get into range, the door opens. And your daughter, Caulifla is there along with her knight Lottus. Both wearing only undersuits, clearly here to get a heavy workout in themselves.

“Dad? What're you doing in here so late?” she asks, brows furrowing a bit in confusion. “Everything okay?”

Well? How do you respond?
>Tell her you've got a big fight against someone who wants to eradicate you all in a week, but that you'll handle it before teasing her a bit and heading out to shower off the day

>Ask if she really wants to know, or if she'd rather you keep a few problems to yourself for awhile until you know if you'll handle it yourself or need her help with the issue. She's old enough to decide for herself

>>Go back inside and tell her everything as she and Lottus work out, see what your daughter thinks of everything going on
No reason not to keep her abreast of the situation I feel. Also I think I just thought a potentially devastating finishing combo now that we have that "Mystery Weaving Technique" in our back pocket.
We pressure with Juyo, bait a desperate strike against our Lightning Body, engage Infinite Arm Fist and start up the Dempsey Roll before they recover. It's a lot of high level techniques back to back, but I think it's entirely possible to weave them together into a finishing pattern like that.
>>
>>6368428
I just realized we could employ a little Dun Moch to bait a retaliatory strike against our Energy Body as well. This is your threadly reminder to read the Pastebins people, GD makes that info public for a reason.

“Okay? We'll... We'll see.” you reply, stepping back into the the chamber. The two share a glance, their expressions suddenly worried.
“Tell me everything.” your daughter says, the two coming into the chamber as well. Lottus going to the controls, whistling low at seeing you'd had it maxed out, turning it well down before turning the chamber back on. The much lower gravity than you'd been training at settles over you, the two Saiyans starting their training with pushups. And as they start doing their repetitions, you tell them. Everything, starting with the Heeters and the fight with Granolah in a week, then visiting Otherworld and talking with your father before the Tamaraneans arrived and tried to capture Ticho. And this new figure, this Kryat you were told of possibly being the one behind this attempted kidnapping, as well as going after Koriand'r too. “Wait, what happened with Kori and Broly?”

And as she asks this, you realize you hadn't checked back in with him yet. That you have no idea how that situation wrapped up. And so, with a thought, you reach back out to him.

“Broly. Is everything okay?” you think to him, reaching out to his mind with your own. “Are you and Kori okay?”
“Dad? Yeah, we're okay.” he answers you, sending you a mental image of himself, Kori, and two unknown Tamaranean women all sitting in a room presumably inside his ship you've never seen. “Kori's just catching up with some of her friends from back home.”
“Just her friends? They didn't try and take her?” you ask, and for a split-second feel something dark in his mind. “Broly?”

“It's fine, we... Handled it. I'll tell you more later.” he replies, and before you can ask another question, his mind disconnects from your own. Leaving you frowning.
“Is everything okay?” Cauli asks, her head turned towards you but not slowing her exercise.
“Yeah. Just talked to Broly, he and Kori are okay.” you reply, still wondering what happened on his end. But you're not going to find that out today, so you put it aside for now. “He didn't give details, but they're okay.”

>>6368494
“That's good.” Cauli says with a sigh, finishing her set and laying flat on the ground a moment as she catches her breath. “So, you've got a fight in a week with someone who wants to kill us all, there's a mystery guy in the Tamaranean court who is causing trouble, may or may not be under my estranged sister-in-law's orders, and there's a group of bastards trying to steal a set of Dragon Balls. Is there anything else going on?”

As she says that, moving over to the bar weights and lifting them up onto her shoulders, squatting them with good form, suddenly you get an uneasy feeling in your guts. But the way she says it, you don't know how, but you can just feel it: this isn't everything. There's more going on.

But do you tell her your suspicions? Do you let her know you think someone's behind all of this, someone setting all this up? Or do you keep this particular worry to yourself for now, and wait to see if it comes true or not? But before you can decide-

Well? Choose your destiny carefully, you can only pick one.

“Hey, Karn, you busy man?” Arctus' thoughts suddenly cut in, feeling even through the telepathic link that the man's absolutely smashed. “C'mere, found out something super-important!”
“Important?” you ask him, seeing Caulifla's face change as she recognizes the moment another mind reaches yours. Recognizing the moment my focus goes elsewhere. “What happened Arctus?”
“I got it! I broke through! All those tasty secrets are now mine!” he replies, cackling. “I broke that stubborn skull wide open!”

“What? You got it open?” you exclaim, both aloud and telepathically. Seeing Caulifla and Lottus both start at your shout, you raising your right hand to your forehead as you tell your daughter where you're going, then focus on Arctus' power through the link. And with a thought, your Instant Transmission carries you from your gravity chamber to Arctus' side. Reappearing somewhere inside his droid factory, the sounds of metal soldiers being built echoing through the walls as you look around. Finding Arctus at a desk, with the head from that doctor who helped build that Tuffle bastard on the machine mutant planet M-2 disassembled. Its different parts all connected with wires to different things, the entire room filled with wires and machinery. “Wow. You weren't kidding, that thing's entirely open.”

“Karrrrrrn! There y'are, buddy! I diiiiiiid it!” he slurs his words drunkenly, taking another swig from a large bottle in his right hand as he turns his head towards you. “Ffffffigur'ddd it out! Takin' it apart took apart 'issss security. Annnnn I could discov'rrrr everything! I got every secret outta its head!”
“You really got it? Ha, I knew you could do it, Arctus!” you say, slapping him on the back affectionately. He grins, raising his drink as he sways back and forth in his chair. Clearly drunk enough that you'd be out cold if you'd drank as much as he had. But the man's a professional drinker, and clearly deserving of his victory celebration. “So, what's it got?”

“Everything! How the Tuffle Machine Mutant was made, how its body is made to both appear solid and liquid at the same time, the process by which it lays the 'eggs' inside a host's brain, everything!” he says, the slur vanishing as he focuses, fingers returning to the keyboard and flying over the keys, images and diagrams and schematics that don't quite make sense to you. But he can clearly read it all, moving between the files. “And I even found out who also helped make it. And not just Nefarious either. They had help, from someone outside of our time!”

You knew it. And now you're proven right.

“I knew it.” you say, feeling a sense of vindication. You couldn't prove it, but you knew that there was more to the Tuffle threat than you'd known at the time. “So, who was it?”
“That's the thing, never seen them before. Why I wanted you over here, to see if you recognized them.” he says, fingers typing fast until he pulls up a video of that lab. Where, suddenly, a pale, pointy-eared figure you don't recognize with a large “X” scar across his chest simply APPEARS. One second nothing, the next standing in that lab you vaguely remember. Wearing a fur-lined black coat, a clear yellow face visor and red pants, something about the figure feels familiar. As if you've seen them before somewhere in passing. But you can't remember anything about this figure. However, the two beings standing beside him look eerily familiar. Two white-skinned beings with the same completely blue eyes and face lines as that Tuffle bastard, the short-haired one wearing a blue jacket and the more woman-shaped one wearing red.

“Well now, how's our little project coming along, Dr. Myuu?” the man says, the two smaller beings going to the pod where that Tuffle was growing.
“Hearts. You know, for a time traveler, you're terrible at showing up on time.” Myuu says, Arctus freezing the footage and turning to you.
“See! Right there, they admit it!” he exclaims, eyes turning serious. “So, you ever seen these guys before?”

“No. And that could be a problem.” you reply, crossing your arms. “If there is another faction rising, then we need to know who they are and what they want.”
“Agreed. So, what's step one?” Arctus asks you.

“Step one is contacting our own time travelers. I'll see if I can get them down here.” you reply to him, then reach out with your mind to try and get a hold of your alternate timeline daughter. “Chaya, can you hear me? Are you here?”
“Dad?” she replies, a hint of confusion in her mind. “Is everything okay?”
“Yeah, need your help kiddo. Got a time traveler need you to help me identify.” you think to her. And immediately feel her sudden worry, a second later Future Chaya and Ace both appear beside you. “There you are.”

“Show us.” she says, all business. You turn to Arctus, who immediately resumes his drunken act.
“Heeeeere's thhhh guy.” he slurs, rewinding the video and playing it again. You watch Future Chaya's reaction, see her brows furrow at the appearance of the trio.
“Who is that?” she asks, staring at the guy with the “X” on his chest. Continuing to watch, then repeating his name as Dr. Myuu says it. “Hearts? You ever heard that name, Ace?”

“No.” the quiet man answers, shaking his head. “I don't think I've ever seen him.”
“Then we need to know what the boss knows.” Future Chaya replies, turning to Arctus. “We're gonna need that information.”
“I gottit.” he says, reaching over towards the desk, knocking over a dozen bottles before grabbing a data stick and holding it out to your other timeline daughter. “Herrrrrrre. Copy of everythin' innnn that head.”

“Perfect. Thanks Arctus.” she says with a nod, then turns to you. “We'll have this figured out. If someone's causing trouble, we'll track them down. Won't we?”
“Yeah. We'll take care of this.” Ace says, nodding to you once. However, as you all are standing there, suddenly you, Ace, and Future Chaya all feel it at once. Something's coming. A MASSIVE ki unlike anything you've ever felt before, radiating with an unfamiliar, bottomless malice. Ace and Future Chaya both flash up into their Beyond Blue and Apex forms instantly, you ascending into your Berserker God form too. And even Ace, seeing you all transform also transforms, shifting up into his form similar to Cooler's own. “What the hell is THAT?”

HRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!” comes a massive roar, the power surging as the ground trembles beneath your feet. Whatever this massive, dark power is, you've no doubt it's here after what Arctus discovered. Which leaves you one question:

What do you do?

“I'll be back to help after getting Arctus to safety.” you tell your alternate timeline daughter, grabbing Arctus' shoulder as the sounds of explosions ring out, muffled through the walls. “Arctus, grab the data. We're leaving, now.”
“Leaving? But-!” he starts, only for Chaya and Ace to throw his office door wide only to be greeted by a cloud of dark, choking smoke. “Fuck. Alright.”

You stand between him and the door as your future daughter and Ace fly through it, out towards that massive powerlevel as you hear Arctus scrambling behind you. However, suddenly there's a flash of light, and the doorway is blocked. At first your immediate reaction is surprise, wondering why Chilli's suddenly here and using his Crystal magics. But then you see it's not your son's power, but something else.

“Arctus, NOW!” you exclaim, raising your right to your forehead, left on his shoulder. And the crystal-like substance spreads, growing rapidly across the floor, walls and ceiling. Clearly trying to trap you both inside. Reaching out to Towa telepathically, hoping to reach her before those crystals reach you. “Towa! Problem!”
“Karn?” she asks, her mind worried. But before you can answer her, Arctus shouts to you.
“GO!” he declares, and without hesitation you vanish. Dragging Arctus with you through space, teleporting with Instant Transmission right in Towa's lab.

“Karn what the hell is going on?” she asks you, but you're already focusing again. And even over the vast distance, you can feel Apex Chaya's surging power.
“Arctus, show her everything.” you order, focusing on Future Chaya's energy and teleporting back to the battlefield. Where you see an unexpected sight.
HRRRROOOOAAAAAAAAH!!!” roars a huge Saiyan, with hair like Raditz' and an insane level of power. His aura blazing red and black around him, his energy causing the hairs on the back of your neck to stand on end, and you instincts to scream at you that this being means danger. And as you appear, Future Chaya's charging in headfirst, swinging a heavy right at the roaring Saiyan. Only for her fist, striking the aura, to be stopped by it. But not only stopped, as to your horror, that dark, sinister aura seems to INFECT your future daughter's own!

cont

>>6368818
“KYAAAAAH!” she screams, recoiling in pain. You and Ace watching in horror as her golden aura's outline turns black, her aura itself shifting to orange as that sinister energy corrupts her own!
“CHAYA!?” you and Ace both shout, only for her to slowly turn towards you both. Pupils gone, her eyes all white like your Berserker forms as she snarls, charging forward.

“HRYAAAAAAA!!” she roars, even her voice seemingly infected and deepened by the power as she charges you both.
“Tch! That bastard's energy somehow infected hers!” he shouts, deep blue aura shifting to a much paler color as he transforms, ascending further as his hair and eyes turn white. “Leave her to me, you find a way to take that bastard down.”

And without waiting for your reply he moves forward, weaving her first strike. Letting her swing at him as his technique, Ultra Instinct as he's told you it's called, allows him to mindlessly dodge all of her attacks as he tries to talk her down, to reach her without becoming corrupted by that darkness himself. Which leaves you facing the red and black-aura'd Saiyan, who turns his blood red eyes on you. However, as you stare him down, suddenly, you feel something. His power and your own aren't dissimilar. His own strength feels oddly close to your Berserker Soul's own might. Perhaps your own energy won't be as easily affected, or maybe let you resist what he did to your daughter. But that doesn't change what you have to do, you have to stop him from destroying everything.

But how do you do this?
>Rush and attack, try and attack him through his aura
>Activate your Energy Body then try and attack him through his dark energy
>Keep your distance and try to hit him with your energy attacks through his sinister aura

“HRRRAAAAA!” you roar, clenching your fists and blazing your aura up around yourself. As you do, the other warrior's eyes widen in shock, almost recognition as your emerald aura flares.
“You-?!” he exclaims as you then cross your arms, drawing your energy in. Condensing and hardening it around you, forming your Energy Body. “YOU! FIGHT ME! HRRRRAAAAAAAA!!

With a roar he blazes his own dark aura, the whole building tremble as his massive power surges. But as he roars you explode forward off the ground, closing the distance in a blink and swinging. Your ki-clad fist slices through his energy, delivering a heavy right to his mask-covered face. However, your punch doesn't even phase him! You feel your eyes widen as your strike doesn't even make him flinch.

“Tch!” you exhale as your brow furrows, then as you see him start to swing you move. Your body weaving left as he swings a heavy right, then reflexively bringing your arms up and moving as you'd trained earlier. Weaving back right as he follows up with a left, your body almost returning to that pattern. However, instead of waiting to build up the high-speed weaving, twist and throw a powerful hook with your right up into his left ribs. Again you land a heavy, world-shattering blow, and once more his body doesn't budge.
KRRRRRRAAAAAA!!” he bellows, drawing his left back in a heavy elbow aimed at your head. But you lean back, his heavy blow narrowly missing as you flip backwards. Twisting and firing a right turning kick to his exposed, masked jaw. But like the previous blows, this kick doesn't so much as budge him. So you bring your left up, kicking off his chest and flipping back, getting clear. Flipping back once, landing on your feet and sliding to a stop as you retake your fighting stance.

“You're a tough one, ain'tcha?” you ask, only for this dark, sinister energy-filled Saiyan to roar wordlessly once more, charging in directly at you. And as he swings with a heavy right haymaker you weave the blow with your Su Ma. Twisting clockwise around his fist, landing a flawless left to his masked jaw, continuing your spin into a right elbow to the back of his head. Both of which do nothing but make him roar even louder, spinning counterclockwise with a left backfist. Which you dodge by flipping back, landing on your shoulders and palms, hands up by your head as you drive off the ground, slamming both heels up into his guts. That one, with the full power of your body behind it lifts the sinister Saiyan up off his feet, launching him into the ceiling above with a crash. But as you flip back to your feet he's already roaring again, charging straight down at you once more. This isn't going to be easy. But you're not backing down, kicking off the ground and meeting his charge head-on!

And that's it for this weekend, enjoying this episode so far? Ready to potentially discover some deep Saiyan lore, battle an ancient Evil Saiyan, and see if your full power matches up to the likes of Ace and Future Chaya now? Do you think you can prevail, or will you need a lot of help to beat a monster like that? And who was the one trying to kidnap Arctus with what appeared to be crystals? Yes. It’s lots of fun.
> Ready to potentially discover some deep Saiyan lore,
Sure.
>battle an ancient Evil Saiyan, and see if your full power matches up to the likes of Ace and Future Chaya now?
I’m excited about this. I was thinking if after the Tournament of Power maybe it’s time for Karn to be strong enough to catch up with time travelers like Ace and Chaya. Though that might not be the case.
>>6369471
>Confidence isn't enough to overcome a wall like this. A wall that battled both previously spoilered and Super Saiyan 4 Xeno Vegito and beat them BOTH one after another. This is a survival mission.
It seems Karn’s power is not at the level that time travelers have.

Berserker God form does zero damage to Cumber. Earlier I was thinking about some clever use of Force powers and other things that maybe would do something to ancient Sayian. However, the impression I’m getting now is that even if Karn attacked him with Sith Lightning and even got a very good dice roll, it would only tickle him.

I’m currently on copium, hoping that Supreme Instinct will do something to him… but probably not. And that is Cumber merely in his base form. How did he become so strong? What training does he do? How does he do it?

Another thing is usually when time travelers arrive the time seal at the back of Karn’s hand burns and signifies that it can be activated to transform Karn into Super Villain form. This allows Karn’s power to rise to the challenge that would normally be impossible, because time travelers are usually way stronger.
However this time there is no mention of it. I think this may be important detail. Is this Cumber from our timeline and current time? That seems unlikely. So why is Time Seal not reacting? Perhaps whoever is allied with ancient Saiyan have found a way to fool this time interruption detection. Which may mean that Cumber and his allies are able to mess with time without being spotted by Time Patrol and even Mechikabura. If true, that’s a massive problem.
>6368873
>Do you think you can prevail, or will you need a lot of help to beat a monster like that?
After reading how strong Cumber is I guess Karn may act as a distraction for ancient Saiyan while maybe Future Chaya and Ace are able to do something about him (assuming she regains control of herself).
> And who was the one trying to kidnap Arctus with what appeared to be crystals?
Same person who send here ancient Saiyan.

Ha! Good luck.
>>6369768
Absolutely. But he sees how someone much stronger than those beneath him DOES treat people. He raises them up, teaches them, helps them. And he wants to be like his dad, just like his siblings.
Always good art.
Glad you're enjoying. This arc is a lot of fun to write so far.
Clearing Jiren, even without directly scoring the ring out yourself, puts Karn in the same ballpark as SDBH CC Goku, who is explicitly pre-Moro arc Goku.
Well, you didn't get to see how Ace or Future Chaya would fare against him, as neither actually got to fight him.
>How did he become so strong? What training does he do? How does he do it?
Training, he says. You're not dealing with the average Saiyan warrior anymore.
The seal has been burned out, if you check the docs Karn no longer has it. You've grown beyond what it could provide, you're too strong for it now.
It's going to keep being good. Trying to decide if Ace vs Future Chaya makes a good intermission, or if I should follow another developing angle on this expanding plot.
>>6369770
True. Plus, despite literally being born with the Super Saiyan rage, he's a good boy at heart naturally.
>>6369772
Mechikabura said to you that he could remake it, but next time you tried to merge it with Berserker God's full power it would just burn out again. You're at the point now where you have to stand on your own two feet and fight your battles with every trick and tool you've acquired over your journey.

Ya know, I was a little surprised that his power felt so similar to ours when so many other mindless and wrathful entities didn't, but I guess it stands to reason that the Berserker mutation doesn't always manifest like it does with Karn and Broly. Hell, look at Junior.
Speaking of, has he figured out a name for that form of his yet?

>The seal has been burned out, if you check the docs Karn no longer has it. You've grown beyond what it could provide, you're too strong for it now.
Karn really had to improve a lot to make that happen. That’s like an end of an era. It was with Karn for so long. The transformation also did look really unique.
>Mechikabura said to you that he could remake it, but next time you tried to merge it with Berserker God's full power it would just burn out again. You're at the point now where you have to stand on your own two feet and fight your battles with every trick and tool you've acquired over your journey.
You are right. That’s a big change but also a good thing. His first battle without the seal is already very memorable. I mean Cumber. Facing such impossible challenge will certainly be helpful for Karn to improve.
>>6369999
>I guess it stands to reason that the Berserker mutation doesn't always manifest like it does with Karn and Broly. Hell, look at Junior.
What you said made me think what would happen if Karn theoretically went full evil path after unlocking Berserker transformation for the first time. If Karn’s personality and choices can have influence on how Berserker’s Soul’s power manifest then maybe evil Karn’s power would be more like Cumber’s?
>>6368819
>However, as you stare him down, suddenly, you feel something. His power and your own aren't dissimilar. His own strength feels oddly close to your Berserker Soul's own might.
Currently Karn shields himself with Energy Body. I wonder if he did not do it would Cumber’s corruptive aura infect Karn’s aura too like it did with Chaya? Or perhaps it would react differently since there is some similarity between their power? I know Karn is immune to mind control but I’m still curious about this thing. Ancient’s Saiyan is really unusual.
>>
>>6369869
Yes. Training wheels are off when dealing with other timelines after the Zamasu incident, you have to stand on your own power and abilities now.
>>6369999
There's a reason for that. Remember how I said the Berserker God power came to the Saiyans back during the Saiyan Civil War? May or may not be related to this one's particular breed of Saiyan.
>>6370121
The Supervillain power is cool, but feeds off your life force and could have potentially killed you. "Graduating" from it means you're ready.
Oh boy, Cumber's just getting started. He's starting to like you, and will want to start trying soon.
Cumber's power isn't the same as the Berserker Soul.
A very good question. If you drop it, will you continue to be unaffected? Or will the drop in defenses mean you get crushed by his power? Also, it isn't necessarily the fact he's old that's important. But a now-extinct sub-race of Saiyans virtually wiped out with the end of the war. And Planet Sadala.
>>

>implying his partners would survive his Cumber
though, if he's a SPECIES of Saiyan, and he isn't just an obscenely powerful freak outlier 3ithin his own "group", then I can understand Freeza's initial misgivings about the Saiyans. Maybe Cumber is more closely related to the kind of Saiyan Beerus was dreaming about and Meloka just happened to fit the bill at the time.
>>
>>6370215
The actual difference between the Evil Saiyans and their contemporaries that would eventually become Karn's ancestors was never really explained canonically, so I don't know if they were a distinct sub-species or just a specific cultural/ethnic demographic.
Either way, I'm excited to learn more now that a living example has entered the narrative. Really feels like an SCQ thing to do, elaborating on and expanding existing Saiyan lore I mean.
>>
>>6370201
Pretty much. "Hey, I recognize you as a REAL fighter, let's DO THIS!"
>>6370210
Hard to say. Old Saiyans weren't exactly exclusive.
>>6370215
This was long before Cold was aware of the Saiyans. This goes back to the 'good' vs 'evil' Saiyans, as Cumber's one from back in the Civil War.
No, his dream was of the Super Saiyan God. Not of what Karn is, or what Cumber is either.
>>6370219
>Really feels like an SCQ thing to do, elaborating on and expanding existing Saiyan lore I mean.
Brother that means a lot. I love expanding the setting and lore from what we know, why I was big in the Havel conspiracy against the gods discovery back in the Dark Souls days. Love a good lore discovery/dive

>This goes back to the 'good' vs 'evil' Saiyans, as Cumber's one from back in the Civil War.
Ancient history is wild in Dragonball.
>I love expanding the setting and lore from what we know
It's one of the major reasons why I stuck around for this quest, starting from the archives to getting into the campaign properly by the time we were hunting for deep sea frog leather. It's a tough job wrangling the lore of a series as long as Dragonball with all of its supplemental material and spinoffs, even tougher in a setting where other franchises with rich histories of their own collide.
>>
>>6370196
>Oh boy, Cumber's just getting started. He's starting to like you, and will want to start trying soon.
Karn will do everything not to disappoint. I wonder what will Cumber think of Supreme Instinct. Will he notice that it is something unusual or will he think that it is just another type powerup that changes color of your hair, aura, eyes and nothing more.
>A very good question. If you drop it, will you continue to be unaffected? Or will the drop in defenses mean you get crushed by his power?
I’m curious to see. Though it’s risky to deactivate Energy Body only to see what will happen.
>Also, it isn't necessarily the fact he's old that's important. But a now-extinct sub-race of Saiyans virtually wiped out with the end of the war. And Planet Sadala.
Fascinating. I am getting the impression here that the power level that Cumber has is as noticeable to anyone in our universe who can sense energy as was the Strongest Meloka Black when she appeared. If I remember right her power could be felt even in the Sacred World of the Kai.

This leads me to assumption that everyone noticed his presence.
>King Vegeta IV
>Meloka
>Kars
>King Cold
>Chili
>Freeza
>Caulifa
>Broly and our other allies
Since Karn is near I think it is possible that he will soon receive a telepathic questions from Meloka and King Vegeta and others “What is going on there. Do you need help?”
Kars might be watching through a scrying orb. If he is watching then Cumber as a member now-extinct sub-race of Saiyans is certainly interesting from a genetic and a biological point of view.

Who knows?
Thank you. I try to put on a hell of a quest for you guys, glad you've stuck with me for so long.
>>6370429
If you go for it, he'll notice the difference and escalate his own power as well.
True. Especially after seeing the difference in strength when your blows don't really budge him.
Entirely possible. Unless someone's taking efforts to mask what's happening from the wider universe. Suppressing their imprint so their presence doesn't radiate through the scroll.
If his allies can see it though, or Towa breaks through any potential barriers, you'll certainly be getting a lot of questions and allies eager to help fight something this strong.
>>
>>6370333

>>
>>6370713
I do find it funny that Broly growing up in a loving and supportive family structure has actually nerfed himself.

Bro is too afraid of breaking someone or something he cares about to ever reach more then halfway into the depths of his own accord.

Meanwhile if he took the Karn Approach to the Berserker Soul he'd actually flat out beat us consistently.
>>
>>6370722
>I do find it funny that Broly growing up in a loving and supportive family structure has actually nerfed himself.
I'd argue it's quite the opposite. Yeah, he has something of a mental block, but the reasons for that block existing are also what allow him to go beyond his limits and keep growing in earnest rather than simply coast off his innate talent.
>Bro is too afraid of breaking someone or something he cares about to ever reach more then halfway into the depths of his own accord.
Huh. Might be worth introducing him to a certain son of Krypton sometime, if only for his thoughts on the topic.
>Meanwhile if he took the Karn Approach to the Berserker Soul he'd actually flat out beat us consistently.
Perhaps, but while Broly could conceivably attain Supreme Instinct like Karn, he's more than likely the ONLY person who can do what HE did. To that end, it's probably more worthwhile in the long term for him to focus on his own path to power.
>>
>>6370734
>Perhaps, but while Broly could conceivably attain Supreme Instinct like Karn, he's more than likely the ONLY person who can do what HE did. To that end, it's probably more worthwhile in the long term for him to focus on his own path to power.
Not really, Broly only unlocked Apex Berserker because Baby was both an idiot but also smart enough to find the depths that Broly never wanted to explore and tear open the gate he never wanted to open.

Like this isn't somekind of Broly hate or anything, GD outright said Apex Berserker normally needs a complete Mastery of both Primal and God Routes, unlike the normal SS forms where they diverge, and Broly never would have gone that far into Berserker Soul Mastery without Baby being a retard.

>has actually nerfed himself.
That's actually not true. In Z, Broly was lost, consumed by the Berserker Soul long ago. As we see in the flashback when he took Paragus' eye as a kid Super Saiyan, and needed mind control to pacify the rampaging soul within. As DBSBroly/SH show us, Broly not under its influence is more in line unironically with SCQ Broly. Where in DBS he didn't unlock it until late in life with people to help him control it, same as SCQ just decades earlier with all the support your family and others's show. BROLY wasn't nerfed, it was just the Berserker Soul not allowed to control his body fully and completely.
>if he took the Karn approach
Possibly, but he wouldn't have reached Apex Berserker without Baby's interference either way. And Baby could not unlock Supreme Instinct in Broly.
>>6370734
>Huh. Might be worth introducing him to a certain son of Krypton sometime, if only for his thoughts on the topic.
Could be a very interesting topic. Broly talked to Ubo about similar years ago, when Ubo began unlocking his Kryptonian potential.
Theoretically yes he could, but hisLIFE hasn't been a battle for survival like Karn's own. Mostly due to Karn's influence and ensuring his children had better, safer childhoods than his own.
>>6370772
Yeah, Baby saw the big "Do Not Touch" sign, and pic related.
Yes, to control it requires mastery of both. But Broly, at least now, can't control it and the Primal fury enraged Berserker Soul rampages as it wants.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After Karn's talk with King Cold and Cooler, Karn Junior arrived with one of his friends who had just become a Super Saiyan as well. Refereeing a fight between his son and the young girl his age, Karn then ate with his family then got a start on his training and picked up the new technique Zucchi'd used he'd never seen before. And after telling Caulifla everything that'd happened that day, the conversation was interrupted by Arctus, showing he'd cracked the Machine Mutant scientist Dr. Myuu's skull wide open. Only for the time travelers who'd helped him make such a monster send a rampaging Saiyan monster radiating with sinister, dark energy. Karn evacuated Arctus back to Towa's care, then returned and did battle. And as we rejoin Karn, you're fighting the powerful Saiyan one-on-one as Ace tries to get Future Chaya's rampage under control.

HRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!” he roars, swinging with a heavy right that you duck, countering with a left hook up into his ribs then a right straight to his jaw. Neither of which so much as flinch the large Saiyan, who fires a left hammerfist down. Which you twist and side step past, twisting into a left roundhouse to the back of his head. Which continues his own momentum, staggering him a step before he recovers. Yet your attack doesn't still hurt him. The two of you collide over and over, clashing fists, knees and elbows. You blocking and deflecting his powerful strikes, landing your own counters between his heavy, wild strikes. However, as the two of you fight, you watch the other Saiyan's expression change. His face goes from furious, to surprised, to furious again then to what looks like joy as you fight. And after a straight minute of clashing, as he raises his left forearm up to block your right counter to his jaw, he starts to LAUGH. “Huaahaahaahaahaaahaa! I'm amazed to find so worthy an opponent! More, show me MOOOOORE!”

And with his roar, his dark aura blazes, knocking you back a dozen yards as his strength surges even higher. His power's insane, and he's still in his base form. If he could transform, how much stronger will he be? But, more importantly:

What now?
>Rush in and attack, keep up the pressure. Keep him occupied until Ace breaks Future Chaya free and you can all battle together
>Taunt this Saiyan, enrage him into attacking then defend with Unmovable Energy Body. Let him swing against your toughest armor
>Start making distance and use your ranged energy attacks

This feels like an endurance test. I doubt that he'd give us the time to use our more lethal energy attacks with his full attention on us, and popping Supreme Instinct this early in the fight would be unwise, we don't really have the longevity for a decisive win. For now, we make sure he doesn't break or infect anything else.

The quiet fury at the heart of the Berserker Soul, and as you envelop yourself in that power once more, you feel your rage shatter. And a terrible, cold power replaces that fiery wrath. And you once more awaken your Supreme Instinct.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qbb5KHYMig

Opening your eyes, you see the dark Saiyan's red eyes have widened in shock. Growling sub-audibly as you look down at him. “Grrrrrrr.”
“Wh-What ARE you?!” he exclaims, actually trembling slightly as he takes a step back. “What is this power?”

But you don't answer, your thoughts only that he must be neutralized, now. And your body responds, blurring to him. Before he can even react any more than his eyes widening slightly, you've closed the distance and landed a right uppercut to the guts, folding the other Saiyan over as he staggers back. Both hands clutching his guts.

“GLURK-?!” he coughs up inside his mask, stepping back once, twice, three steps before he stops, then snarls. “Tch! HRRRAAAAAAA!!”

With a roar he charges back in with a wild right, but your body steps into his swing. Left hand coming up and catching his arm in the crook of his elbow, stealing his power and stopping his blow well short. While stepping in, hips twisting as your right cross lands flush to the masked jaw. Snapping his head back and staggering him another step, but you're not done. Following it up with a lunging left knee to the chin, then an overhead smash to his face with your hands laced together. Your blow smashing his nose and sending him smashing down through the floor, smashing down into a lower level of Arctus' factory before he comes to a stop. However, as he lays there, you close the distance once more. Stomping down with both heels into his guts, driving him down deeper and deeper. Smashing through floor after floor until the last floor gives way and you find you're in some sort of cave, with robots and automated systems, smelting the metal for the factory above. Kicking him straight down into a large container of molten metal.

cont
>>
>>6371176
“GYAAAAH!” he shouts as his body disappears into the molten surface, the impact of him hitting the bottom knocking the large cylinder out of the large machine claw's grip. The entire container falling further, landing to the cave floor with a crash. But then the entire container EXPLODES, molten metal flying as the brawlic Saiyan roars, aura blazing as he emerges unscathed. “GYURRRAAAAAAAAAA!!”

However, as he roars, you watch as his power changes. He raises one hand, condensing his aura above his head into a construct. A giant hand of dark energy, fingers ending in wickedly sharp-seeming claws.

Well? What now?

“Hmph.” you exhale, your body moving once more. Dashing down, closing the distance as he sends that dark clawed hand flying at you. But your body spins clockwise around it, easily weaving around the attack and closing back in on the sinister Saiyan. Your left slams into his right temple before he can defend himself, snapping his head to the side and staggering him a step to his left. But the large Saiyan growls, planting his foot to avoid falling over and swinging at you with his left. Conjuring another of his Dark Claws, swinging at you much closer now. Your body flips over his own body and energy attack, firing off a right back kick straight to the back of his skull. Knocking him right off his feet, sending him flying and smashing face-first into a stone wall. Landing back on your feet, looking back over your shoulder you watch as the cloud of dust begins to settle, the angry Saiyan tearing himself from the wall with a snarl.

“GURRRRH! HRRRRRR!” he snarls, turning back to face you. Creating another pair of his dark clawed hands, launching both at you. They streak through the air at you, both trying to slash you. But your body moves on its own while you focus on maintaining your icy rage, spinning clockwise around the right hand, then pivoting and reversing counterclockwise around his left. Then kicking off your right foot you close the distance in a blink. And land a devastating left elbow right to his sternum, feeling the air leaving his body as he wheezes. “Kuuuuuuuooh?!”

Your body continues the attack, following the left elbow with a right uppercut to the chin then a right side kick to the sternum as well. Smashing him back into the rocky wall of the cave, your leg slowly lowering back down as he's held suspended in the rock. Struggling to breathe for several seconds, your body not immediately resuming the attack. As if waiting to see if he's going to move again before resuming the attack. Watching him struggle to breathe for several seconds, before gasping in a desperate breath. His breathing fast and ragged as he struggles, then glares at you with rage and fury in his red eyes. But that's not all you see, as even with his mouth covered by that mask, you can see the way his face is grinning.

“Come on! I wanna cut loose some more! And fight! FIGHT!! TATAKAIIIIIII!!!” he roars, energy surging as the wall around him shatters. Dark aura blazing as, to your shock, you watch as he transforms! His black hair turns golden, eyebrows disappearing and his eyes change from red to a very familiar green as he ascends.

“HRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!” he roars, then as his transformation's finished he charged. Blurring towards you before you even realize it, yet your body's already moving. Meeting his flying right with your own right, fists slamming into one another. The shock wave exploding out from the point of contact and you hear what sounds like several robots buckle and break under the force. But that's not all that gives, as the cave itself starts to buckle and crumble under the force of his power.
“I need to draw him back up to the surface, before he breaks everything.” you think to yourself, your body immediately making distance. Which only seems to further infuriate the Saiyan, who roars as he chases you down.

“RRRRRAAAAAAAAAA!!” he bellows, exploding off the ground up after you. Swinging fast and wild, your body dodging and blocking his strikes while retreating back up the hole you'd made with his body moments ago. Trading blows, throwing out crushing counters as you retreat back. Up and up, back out of the cave far below and back to the factory floor. Catching his right with your left forearm, stopping your retreat and kicking him in the chest. Separating you both as you send him crashing into a large machine, flipping back and landing on your feet. The massive Saiyan tearing his way back out of it, charging you again. “Stop running and FIGHT MEEE!!”

Well? How do you proceed?
>Go back on the offense, put the pressure back on him and attack
>Defend, let him keep pressing his attack recklessly while your body counters and evades
>Keep your distance and start using your energy attacks, try and wear him down between chasing you and defending against your energy

“Hrmph.” you exhale through your nose, leaping back as you gather your ki into both hands. And your foe, seeing this gathers his own energy, creating more of his evil energy claws. You throw your left hand's attack down, firing your Scattershot at him. Forcing him to bring his claws out defensively, catching well over a score of your blasts as the attacks detonate against one another. But then, focused on his ki shape your right hand's energy into a lance, launching your Energy Javelin down the moment his body emerges from the smoke. The Saiyan's eyes widen as he sees it, trying to dodge but he can't evade. Your spear landing solidly in his left shoulder, stopping his charge a moment. He doesn't hesitate, tearing the construct from his shoulder with a snarl. Only for it to detonate as well the moment he freed it.

“KYUOAH!?” he shouts as your attack blows up in his face, sending him crashing back down to the ground. But you don't slow your attack, backing further up as you switch to a faster attack. Gathering your ki now into your fingertips, firing a Scatter Beam directly at his downed form. He rises with a roar, dark energy blazing only for your beams to connect. All ten strike him in his legs, chest and arms, but the beams don't have the power to pierce through him. Instead they knock him back, slamming into a reinforced metal wall that buckles beneath his bulk. You end your attack, only for the furious Saiyan to level his hands at you and unleash a barrage of energy attacks as well.
“Barrier.” you say simply, throwing your arms wide. Forming your usual defensive shield designed to stop energy attacks, but as this dark Saiyan's first strike lands, you realize something's wrong. Despite not being able to punch through your shielding ki, his energy still slams into your own with surprising force. Each blow slowly pushing you back, further and further away from him until you're pushed back against the far wall. The storm of energy bullets doesn't slow, his attack pressing you back harder and harder against the wall until with a roar and surge of power, his volley blasts you straight OUT of the factory itself! Launching you outside the building itself!

Ending the shield as you get out of the way of his attack you take to the sky, flying over the surface of the arid, rocky planet. The air and ground all dyed shades of orange and red, even at night like it is now. You can see the factory itself was built into, or perhaps carved straight out of a mesa. But then you feel it, feel the unmistakable pull of moonlight on your tail. Your entire body freezes, and you suddenly have to fight your instincts telling you to turn towards the moonlight. And as the enemy Saiyan roars, aura blazing as he launches himself out of the hole he'd blasted through, a terrible realization dawns.

>>6371299
Immediately, the raging Saiyan stops as well, no doubt recognizing the sensation. And, unlike you, he IMMEDIATELY turns and looks up towards where there's no doubt a full moon. His eyes going wide, body going still as every hair on his tail stands on end.

“No you don't.” you say, gathering substantial power in your right arm and twist. Launching an emerald orb of energy up towards that distant moon. Unleashing a powerful blast of energy more than capable enough to destroy even this planet if you aimed it down instead with a shout. “HAAAAAAAA!!”
“Wh-What?!” he exclaims, you seeing the shock in his eyes as your attack rockets out from the planet's surface, and within six seconds you feel your attack land against that distant celestial body. Feeling your attack detonate it, consuming that entire moon in an instant and preventing your foe's transformation. “You-?!”

But he's too stunned for words, only making a small choking sound before suddenly he grins, meeting your eyes.

“You thought you could STOP me, by blowing up the moon? I'll just make my own!” he shouts, raising his right and forming a familiar sphere of energy, turning and launching it straight up into the air. But you don't hesitate, firing a single Death Beam into the attack, destroying and detonating it in a flash. “What?!”
“We're not settling this as Oozaru.” you reply, retaking your fighting stance. To which he stands there, stunned. Before he grins, aura then blazing.
“YEEESSSSS!!” he roars, strength surging. “TATAKAAAAIII!!!”

But what do you do now? How do you proceed?
>Return to letting your body fight as it wants, let your instincts guide you properly
>Defend and counter attack, let him come to you
>Keep it up, start using some of your stronger energy attacks as well to see if you can really start putting the hurt on him
>Create your Super Ki Blade then rush in, see if he can battle your instincts-backed swordsmanship

At the other Saiyan's roar, you feel your instincts pulling to respond in kind. And so you do, clenching your fists and letting your own frosty aura surge as well. It doesn't roar like a raging fire, like the Berserker Soul's emerald flames usually do. Instead it's a surge like a wall, a beam that expands out from you as you glare silently at the other Saiyan. Who, with a final roar, charges.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-6HVC4Zpfw0

“HURRRRAAAAAAAAA!!” he bellows, exploding towards you. And your body responds in kind, surging forward with fluid grace and explosive speed. Closing the gap in an instant, deflecting his heavy right with your left forearm while swinging at his guts with a right of your own. But he brings his left to bear, catching your strike with his palm then swinging his head forward. But you stop that by backing up and firing a right knee up into his chin, snapping his head back with a growl. But you don't stop there, spinning clockwise into a left roundhouse kick, heel aimed at his temple only for the Saiyan to bring his left forearm up, braced with his right. Your blow not breaking his guard now, shoving you back. Your body reverses the spin into a right backfist, which he again blocks. Your forearm smashes into his own, neither of you pushing the other away before you both draw your lefts back, swinging your fists forward. Your fist slam into his own, firing out another shock wave that knocks you both back from one another. “Yes! YEEEESS! Tatakai! TAATAAKAAAAAIIII!!!”

Once more his aura blazes, dark energy surging higher and higher before charging back in. You meet his charge head-on, the two of you trading hundreds, thousands of blows every second. Your body weaving through and blocking his attacks on its own and retaliating with heavy blows, the other Saiyan blocking your blows and firing his own powerful shots back. But as you both fight at one hundred percent, giving it your all, the cracks start to show. The other Saiyan's blocks become sloppy, slower, just a half-step too late as your blows start to land. Slowly at first, one punch or kick landing for every score of attacks your body fires off. But as the seconds turn into minutes, neither of you backing off, soon you're landing every twentieth blow, every fifteenth, every tenth. Your aggression and perfect, instinctual movements unrestricted by conscious thought, overwhelm his aggression and raw desire to fight. Something that infuriates the other Saiyan, as he feels himself begin to lose the fight.

If Cumber is anything like us, then outright killing him was never going to be that easy. But this for sure has slowed him down. Detonating a big ball of energy like this means he has to eat our attack AND his own backfired energy.
>>

“I won't let you destroy this world!” you snarl, drawing your right fist back as you realize what he's about to do. And for a moment, in your anger your Supreme Instinct flickers uncertainly, the furious, blinding rage of the Berserker Soul bleeding through. But you force yourself to close your eyes and take a deep breath, exhaling slowly as you regain full control, your aura stabilizing as you focus your energy. Drawing it all into your right fist, forming that familiar cone of swirling, spiraling energy that comes to a piercing point a foot in front of your clenched fist. Your arm to the elbow trembling with power as the energy surrounding your fist reaches its peak.

“TAKE THIS!!” he roars, snarling as he throws his hand down. Launching the massive sphere of energy down at you. But your body, knowing what to do lunges, charging straight towards the attack right fist forward. Your energy, burning bright charges higher and higher towards his descending attack, almost pulling you through the air towards his blast. And then you've reached it, your energy slamming into his dark ki. Piercing straight through the blast, your Piercing Fist MkII's spiraling energy around you shielding your body as you drill straight through it, emerging out the other side still right-forward. “Wh-What?!”

As he shouts in surprise his attack detonates behind you in a massive, fiery blast, while your attack continues. Closing the distance between you and this other Saiyan in a blink. Who tries to dodge at the last second, narrowly dodging a fatal blow. Your spiraling energy, instead of landing square in his guts, only pierces through his right side just below his floating ribs. Tearing through flesh and muscle, viscera spraying as your attack pierces through his side. The spiraling energy launches him away from you from the force of the charge, crying out in pain as he falls.

“Tch.” you exhale, ending the attack and turning as you hear him fall. Landing atop one of the rocky plateau flat on his back, hands reaching down towards his side as he struggles to rise. Even mortally wounded, although not a quick end, he doesn't quit. You watch with begrudging admiration as he struggles to his feet, left hand clamped to his right side to try and staunch the bleeding as he looks up at you.
“N-No. Not yet.” he says, voice trembling, blood leaking from his injured side. “I-I Want... To fight... More.” he says, eyes rolling back in the back of his head as his body collapses. His golden hair returns to black as he falls, collapsing atop the plateau. You didn't kill him, but he's not long for this world regardless. This fight is ov- Who's that?

As you watch, suddenly a floating mass of what looks like Chilli's crystals suddenly appears. Then, the shell shatters, and an unfamiliar figure appears in the midst of the floating, slightly luminous crystals. The woman figure drops down and lands beside the downed Saiyan, going down to a knee. She looks to be a pale-skinned girl of around average height, laying a hand on him. Only for his body to be fully encased in the same crystals she appeared in, the same from before when you got Arctus out. And once he's fully encased, the figure rises and turns towards you.

“You hurt Cumber.” she says, voice eerily calm, emotionless. But you see it in the way her eyes narrow, whoever this being is, she's furious. And clearly going to try taking it out on you.

But what do you do?

76/100, 85/100. Narrow failure and high mystery. You won't get a lot out of her, but you might learn a little something. And, more importantly, well... Writing.

“Who are you?” you ask her, retaking your fighting stance subconsciously. “And why did that guy, Cumber, come after my friend Arctus? Why are you both here?”
“I am Lagss.” she says simply, her tone still that strange, emotionless, flat register. Only for your instincts to suddenly scream in warning as she continues. “My glass, slice him apart.”

And immediately the large glass structure glows, firing hundreds of footlong glass needles at you. Your body responds immediately, leaping straight into the air over the spray. But she wordlessly directs the mass to keep firing, shooting more and more slivers of her razor-sharp glass towards you. Your body dodges and weaves through the spray, avoiding her attacks as you watch her large chunk of glass spray more and more of itself, until the chunk's expended. Leaving you a straight shot right at her, which you take. Blurring forward, only for your instincts to again scream danger. Diverting your path, dashing straight up into the air. Only to watch below as all the glass she'd fired earlier GOES BACK, flying straight into what's left of the mass. Rebuilding its bulk, and would have sliced you to shreds from behind without you being aware it was happening until it's too late. Yet even still, the woman's expression doesn't change, simply turning her eyes up towards you.

“You avoided my glass.” she says, still in that same disinterested tone. But you can see the calculation behind her eyes, judging distance and options. However, before she can attack again, another figure appears. Who she addresses by name. “Hearts.”
“That's enough, Lagss. I'll take over from here. Take Cumber back to be healed.” the pale, pointy-eared man from the recording says to her, the woman, her glass, and Cumber all vanishing without another word as he stands there, smirking up at you. A moment of silence hangs between you both before he continues. “Well well, Karn. We finally meet. And I got to witness your power of Supreme Instinct first-hand.”

“So, you're the one behind the Tuffles attempted revival.” you reply, your body slowly drifting down on its own, landing before him and towering over the smaller man. But something keeps your body from lashing out, from attacking him quite yet. “Hearts.”
“Not behind. I simply... Made sure he was strong enough to compete.” Hearts says, spreading his arms wide in a gesture of non-hostility. “You must be strong, Karn. You and your power may be the key to my ultimate goal.”
“Ultimate goal?” you ask, your body still on-edge, yet your instincts aren't warning you of any immediate danger. “Which is...?”

“The complete liberation of all mortals from under the boots of the divine. And the complete eradication of the gods, all the way up to Grand Zen-Oh himself.”

And that's it for tonight, everyone enjoying this episode so far? What are your thoughts on Cumber, Lagss and Hearts? Curious if his stated goal is real, or just what he's saying to try and get you on his side? Has Ace managed to fix Future Chaya and purge the dark ki infusing her own, or will they need your help? And where is the Time Patrol? All this and more when Saiyan Conqueror Quest continues in 12 hours!

Keen to tell him that he has a stupid name.
Also keen to spar with Ace or Future Chaya, to see how we measure up now that we have Supreme Instinct.

>>6371431
Ha!
Not unreasonable, but probably not an option at the moment.
>>6371434
Ha, but he’s got other plans. After all, you’re THE anti-divine power strong enough to actually resist destruction.
>>6371435
>diplomacy
Hearts is basically the mortal version of Zamasu. Flip side of that particular genocidal coin.
>>
>>6371453
>After all, you’re THE anti-divine power strong enough to actually resist destruction.
I blame that entirely on everyone else not having BOWER. Willbower that is. See they just need to give themselves very specific amnesia and forget the word "quit".
>>
>>6371178
>But then the entire container EXPLODES, molten metal flying as the brawlic Saiyan roars, aura blazing as he emerges unscathed.
He survived a lot at this moment. It appears that this aura thing that he does provides him some protection. Like Energy Body protects Karn but it’s not the same.
>He raises one hand, condensing his aura above his head into a construct. A giant hand of dark energy, fingers ending in wickedly sharp-seeming claws.
His energy constructs are impressive honestly. Those Dark Claws are really nice. Karn does something somewhat similar with Energy Body but it’s not the same thing. Things that Cumber does are a very interesting way of using Ki.
>>6371300
>Everyone but Karn.
I checked latest Pastebin and Power Ball is not listed as something he can do. However transformation list does not show Primal Saiyan and Karn can do it. When he transformed into Emerald Oozaru, right before fighting Baby for the first time, Karn managed to turn into Primal Saiyan (start of episode 225). Right before that happened, he learned the Power Ball in episode 224. Pic related.
>>6371341
>Your aggression and perfect, instinctual movements unrestricted by conscious thought, overwhelm his aggression and raw desire to fight. Something that infuriates the other Saiyan, as he feels himself begin to lose the fight.
Supreme Instinct is really something special. I don’t know how strong it makes Karn. Cumber’s power is insane but Karn prevailed. I see why it makes Whis uneasy.
>>6371426
>enjoying this episode so far?
It is very exciting and fun.
>What are your thoughts on Cumber, Lagss
Meeting with her and Cumber has unexpectedly provided Karn with great challenge. Situation where he needed to do his best, give his 100% if not more in order to survive. From that point of view it is good that it happened.
>and Hearts? Curious if his stated goal is real, or just what he's saying to try and get you on his side?
I wonder if he actually wants to liberate mortals like some kind of Prometheus or maybe he really want to take place of Zeno and become new boss himself.
>Has Ace managed to fix Future Chaya and purge the dark ki infusing her own, or will they need your help?
I was sure that Cumber’s absurdly high power would eventually push Karn into a corner and that he needed to hold on long enough for Chaya and Ace to join the battle. I was thinking he was waiting for their help not the other way around. Karn positively surprised me because he managed to hold on and even win. That also means that Ace and Chaya situation is still difficult.
>And where is the Time Patrol?
There might be a barrier that prevents not only information from getting out but also stops people from arriving here. Meloka, Time Patrol and anyone outside of this area does not know what is happening. We are on our own. Then again Towa is outside and she knows, Arctus too. They could have inform Meloka, Time Partol about this already, yet nobody showed up. Perhaps they can’t.
>>
SOON!

>>6371454
Ha! Nice.
>>6371530
He's one tough monster, that's for sure.
The constructs are powerful, that's for sure.
True, I'd forgotten to add it. Will fix sometime this coming week.
Supreme Instinct is very powerful.
Glad you're enjoying, and yes. The Core Warriors' introduction does introduce several questions to how things are progressing.
We'll see. Is Hearts a better man than Zamasu, or the same "It should be ME in charge" egomaniac?
You've grown quite powerful indeed.
A very good point. Did they not show up because they were unable? Or are events progressing elsewhen just as hectically as they are here?

Hearts proclaims his goal so confidently, so assuredly, that even your power fluctuates in the face of his convictions. The Berserker Soul, upon feeling his words flares up as well in solidarity with this declared plan. And as it does, you see Hearts' smirk widen ever-so slightly. No doubt seeing your power agree with him, emboldening him as he continues.

“My goal is to free all of mortal kind from the capricious whims of the so-called divine hierarchy.” he continues, getting on a roll. “And to truly be free of them, they must be erased. Just picture it, a reality without any divine hand interfering, where we mortals can be the ultimate masters of our own fate. Think on my words, Karn the Godslayer, for we'll meet again soon enough.”

And before you can reply, he too is gone. Vanished without a trace, no hint of energy left behind. Gone as simply as he'd appeared as you sigh out, letting your Supreme Instinct power fade with a sigh. Reverting back into your Berserker God form, left with more questions than answers as you drop to a knee. Taking deep breaths, chest heaving as thoughts swirl in your mind. Destroy the gods? Can he really achieve such a thing? You've seen Zen-Oh's power firsthand, even the Berserker Soul was intimidated by his might. But can this Hearts guy find a way to be even more powerful than that diminutive deity? More importantly, however-

Honestly I don't MIND Hearts plan but I got alot of problems with the actual details. First, our Wife, Daughter, and Son *sometimes* are divine figures, and our best friend is training to be a Destroyer. So if they gotta go for his plan then the deal is dead there.

Outside of that, my biggest is the mechanics, like...without the Kai who makes New Worlds? Without the Gods how are the souls of the dead processed and sent to their rightful destinations? Like I understand Gods REEEEEEEEEE but like...how does the reality he wants actually function?

-as you kneel there, catching your breath, suddenly you remember! Future Chaya! She might still need your help! And so you force yourself back to your feet, blasting off the plateau and dashing back towards her powerlevel. Flying through the hole Cumber had made blasting you out of the factory, you fly back in. Only to see Future Chaya still corrupted by Cumber's dark energy even after he'd left, and Ace still dodging her every attack flawlessly with his Ultra Instinct.

“HRRRAAA! HAAAA! HYAAAH!!” your alternate timeline daughter roars, swinging wildly, furiously. But she's unable to land a solid blow, snarling in mindless rage. But Ace is still calm and cool, turning from Future Chaya to you as you fly in.
“Karn, there you are. I can't talk her down.” Ace tells you, weaving her attacks. “And something's telling me I'll be corrupted just as she is if I touch her aura.”
“Don't worry, I can handle her. Just keep her busy.” you tell him, Ace nodding. You then fly down, going behind her as Ace keeps her attention entirely focused on him. Planting his feet, swaying and dodging in place to keep her from moving too far. Drawing your right hand back over your left shoulder, you watch as she keeps pressing her attack, waiting for your opening. And then you find it, swinging your right in a chop right at her neck. “Hrmph!”

Your blow lands flush, Future Chaya freezing in place as she's struck just right. Her entire body locks up for a second before going completely limp, collapsing as her aura fades completely. Ace's body moves on its own, catching her in his arms. Holding her unconscious figure, which to your surprise doesn't power out of her Apex form as she's knocked out. Neither of you say anything for a moment, the silence stretching before Future Chaya grumbles. Waking up already in his arms, slowly blinking awake.

“Ace? Wha...? Did we win?” she asks, voice heavy and confused.
“Good question.” he replies, looking over to you. Your other timeline daughter does as well, recognition dawning.
“Daddy? Wha-? What happened?” she asks, and you fill the two of them in on what happened. Your fight with Cumber, his identity revealed by that Lagss woman, and your confrontation with Hearts, the presumed leader of this group and his goal he told you. “A reality without any gods? He sounds like that prick Kai Zamasu, but backwards. Hearts... Have you ever heard of him, Ace?”

“No. Whoever this is, I've not encountered him before.” Ace replies as his Ultra Instinct fades away, reverting back into his base, redheaded form. “But whoever he is, he can't be acting alone. Or something worse has happened.”
“Worse?” you ask, not liking the sound of that. “What do you mean, worse?”
“Either someone's shielding the actions of him and his agents from protection, so Mechikabura doesn't notice any changes from this Time Scroll. Or someone's taken the Time Scroll from Mechikabura so he CAN'T interfere in what's happening.”

Which is a worrying thought, especially considering WHO has returned to Conton City. If that damned pink bitch is somehow behind this, this time you'll kill her for good!

“You two need to return to Towa, tell her everything then try and find out what's happening with the Time Patrol.” you tell them both seriously. “I'll inform Freeza and Kars, they both need to know what's going on.”
“Right. Good luck Daddy.” she says, turning to Ace. “You ready?”
“Ready.” he replies, and then they're both gone in a blink. Vanishing leaving you alone with Arctus' damaged factory, the robots already going about starting to make repairs to all the damage. So, you fly over to a relatively intact area of his factory, reaching out telepathically to your friend Freeza first.

“Freeza. Can you hear me?” you think, feeling your mind connect with his own.
“Karn? What in the world is going on?” he asks you, tone worried. “I sensed something... Wrong. What in the world were you fighting?”
“More time travelers.” you reply, quickly filling him in on everything. Arctus' success in opening that skull for information, finding out about Hearts helping him, with two additional Tuffle parasite beings with him. Then your battle with Cumber and how his power infected Future Chaya, the glass magic wielder Lagss, then finally your meeting with Hearts face-to-face. “If his goal's really eradication of divinity, you needed to know what's coming. Going to tell Kars next, let him know too. Since he's part Saiyan now, he could even get taken over and corrupted the same way Future Chaya was, if he's not careful.”

“I see. I appreciate your reaching out, I shall let father and Whis both know.” he answers, surprising you. “As much as I seek to depose Beerus one day, I am nowhere near ready nor strong enough to take on that position. Yet. But if he or any of his allies arrive, I shall not hesitate to let you know. Thank you, Karn.”
“Of course, Freeza. That's what friends are for.” you reply, and after another moment you both say your farewells before ending the link. And you immediately change who you're reaching out to, addressing the next Grand Supreme Kai, Kars. “Kars. We've got a problem. Were you watching that?”
“Karn, there you are. I was trying to reach you while the battle was ongoing. But I could neither see nor hear anything near you the instant those other time travelers appeared. Tell me everything.”

And so you do, you tell Kars everything about the encounter you told Freeza. When you finish, Kars is quiet for several moments, before he asks you a single question.

“Do you agree with him?” Kars asks you suddenly, catching you by surprise.
“Wh-What?” you reply, confused. Caught completely off-guard by the change in topic. “What do you-?”
“It is a simple question. Do you agree with Hearts' position, that all the divine beings should be eradicated? Wiping them all out, so there's no more 'divine intervention' in mortal affairs?” he asks, and you can feel the intensity of his question even through the telepathic link. “Are you going to take up his side, his cause and seek the eradication of all divine beings?”

>Tell him no, many of your friends now either are, can be, or are in the process of becoming gods. Just because some need replaced with competent beings doesn't mean they're all bad
Like many ambitious agents of revolution, they fail to realize how delicate the greater system is, and how breaking one part of it tends to FUBAR everything else. Like what "destroying half of all living things in the universe" would actually entail. While Shin absolutely needs to be thrown out or thrown to the gallows, the position of Supreme Kai is an important job that demands strong, but delicate leadership and responsibility. Hearts needs to have an actual realized step-by-step plan for what an existence without gods would be like, not a fairy tale.

You take a moment to consider his question, but the answer's obvious. So, without hesitation or doubt in your mind you answer.

“No. Many of my friends and family now either are gods, can become gods, or are in the process of being gods.” you say, Meloka, Chaya, Caulifla, Chilli, and Freeza's faces all flashing in your mind. “But it is not only that. Even if I weren't personally related to or invested in the gods of this universe, I still wouldn't agree to his plan.”
“Oh? And, pray tell, why that is.” Kars answers, not a question but a statement.
“Just because some of the deities are completely incompetent, some are failures who deserve the deaths this Hearts seeks to mete out, and a few are malicious beyond their station and responsibilities doesn't mean they're all bad and should be exterminated.”

“Like a tree that must be trimmed, the dead branches cut away for the health of the greater whole.” Kars replies, his tone in your mind thoughtful. “I see. Yes, that is a rather good take on the state of things. Too many dead branches have accumulated, the tree is not as healthy as it should with the chaff clinging desperately onto their positions long after their time has expired. Whereas this Hearts figure simply seeks to cut down the tree at the base, and claim the branches will live free and prosperous without it. Although, that does bring to bear where a being possessing such a grudge against Grand Zen-Oh and seeking vengeance originally comes from. Perhaps your time traveling friends will know more?”

And that's when you tell him about the Time Patrol not showing up, about Ace and Future Chaya going off to figure out what's going on, to try and figure out why help never arrived. At this, you can sense Kars' sudden worry, his mind working through hundreds of thousands of scenarios a second.

“This is... Troubling news. I shall inform the other Kai across the hierarchy of this development, along with their descriptions you gave me for each of them.” he tells you, his mind more serious. “If any of them return to this timeline, I will let you know.”
“Thanks Kars.” you answer, sensing his chuckle through the link.
“Don't thank me yet. It would seem this problem is only just beginning.” he replies, ending the link. Leaving you standing in the ruins of Arctus' droid factory, the machines already hard at work rebuilding, fixing the damage to continue their operations as if nothing'd happened. As you stand there, watching them work, you then raise your hand to your forehead, reaching out to the most familiar energy you know and teleport back home. Because your own work's not done either.

Cumber is shaping up to be a damn good rival for the foreseeable future; a real Sendo to our Ippo. I can only hope he has more to say than TATAKAIIIIIIIIIIIII the next time we meet him. I'd hate to let what he knows slip through our fingers, leaving our race's history to speculation indefinitely.
As for recent developments and what they might mean...it's hard to say anything right now. Might be worth some proper meditation on all we've learned, though that might not be particularly useful if more time travelers show up.
In the meantime, I think it'd be a good idea have a chat with Zucchi and find her master. If we can polish up that "Mysterious Weaving Technique", we might just have a secret weapon for our upcoming clash with Granolah.
>>
>>6371755
So that's Granolah, the Heeters, the ongoing domestic Tamaranean shitshow, and now Usamaz with his grand master plan that TOTALLY won't have unintended repercussions. Am I missing something else that happened recently?
>Curious how Hearts' plan fits in with the other schemes going about, if he's related to everything currently going on or if it's merely coincidence because Arctus finally broke through?
If Hearts wanted our help he could've just made an appointment or directly help us with the Granolah shenanigans. Instead he co-collaborates with one of, if not THE deadliest weapon against the saiyans in our history and sics his mad dog on us as soon as we find that out. An "allyship" with him probably means we're getting the Big Gete Star treatment.
>Did you enjoy fighting Cumber and seeing that you're finally fighting in the big leagues, and are you ready to see just how big the big leagues get?
The leagues are certainly big, but I'm glad we finally graduated from our training wheels. They were cool but also drained WAY too much energy. Oh yeah and that soul draining thing or something wasn't so cool either. I'm endlessly curious to find out what Cumber exactly is and where he came from, his WAKU-WAKU might be even stronger than Goku's.
>>
>>6371759
Glad you're enjoying, even if the mystery isn't something you feel you can solve.
>>6371761
He might not be the best to ask, as his only desire is to fight. But he's certainly a benchmark.
It could be useful, as you don't know how he fights.

>Usamaz
Perhaps not, as you've not yet seen him with Hearts. Either today or in the recordings.
>collaborates with

No, he ensured it was strong. If it wasn't strong enough, Chaya wouldn't have been forced to train for two years, and you and Meloka each getting one in for that.
>his WAKU-WAKU might be even stronger than Goku's
He is what the waku-waku posters imagine Goku is.

Yes. That’s a lot of fun.
>Ready to start training for Granolah in earnest next episode,
I nearly forgot about him with so much other things happening.
>the as this more than episode long day can't possibly have any more surprises, right?
I’m not really sure, after a day like this.
>Curious how Hearts' plan fits in with the other schemes going about, if he's related to everything currently going on or if it's merely coincidence because Arctus finally broke through?
I have no clue. This is getting too complicated at the moment, this is just one faction and it seems like there are more of them.
>Did you enjoy fighting Cumber
Great fight.
>and seeing that you're finally fighting in the big leagues,
Awesome

What was seen seems already very big. I can’t imagine what else could be there.

Awesome.

I think it involves them:

>two additional Tuffle parasite beings
They will try to control Karn if he does not agree.

Let’s hypothetically assume that Karn went along with Hearts’ plan and Gods have been eradicated. Even Zeno and Grand Priest are no more.

What happens with entire reality then? GD you said that belief of gods defines how reality and laws of universe operate. Does reality starts to unravel or perhaps it does not ceases to exists but instead becomes chaotic. Maybe in some places things are completely different than in other areas.

What happens to the afterlife? Do souls stop going to heaven or hell? Do they just linger in places of their death? Do they haunt the mortals?
Keep in mind in this scenario Jergal the final scribe is gone too. Do grim Reapers still reap souls out of habit?

I also wonder what Hearts will want do with Towa and Koruza? They reached Demon God level. What about Chaya, Caulifa, Freeza and Chilli? Are they marked for death but Hearts won’t tell this Karn?
After all of this there will be still one more god left. Karn the Berseker God. Is the plan to eliminate him too in the end?

Lack of gods creates a power vacuum. Who can see this as great opportunity?
Beings with personality similar to Trigon. With no deities to stop them perhaps they will leave the Demon Realm to conquer reality.

Does this mean that the end of an “Era of Gods” will bring a new “Era of Demonic Lords”? Will they enslave the ningen? Perhaps some of them will even force mortals to worship them as Gods.

Or maybe it will lead:
>“into the future where my evil is law. Now the fool seeks to return to the past and undo the future that is Aku.”

Yes, there is a LOT going on right now.
>I can’t imagine what else could be there.
:^)
>They will try to control Karn if he does not agree.
A very good theory. Plus, if they both get rejected from their hosts, they can always fuse together.
>GD you said that belief of gods defines how reality and laws of universe operate.
Yes and no. For higher tier/magnitude of deities like Destroyers and Supreme Kai, their power comes from the belief in mortals of the very concepts of Destruction and Creation. Destroying the deities who wield these mantles of power and responsibility would leave them wielder-less, but mantles that fundamental to reality would seek hosts on their own. Now, if these mantles were destroyed, well... Who's to say what would happen?
>spoilers
A very good point. After all, he's lived a long time, patiently rebuilding his power from the ragged scraps of what he originally was. But now, back at full power? He's stronger than Caulifla's Darkmoon soul, stronger than Chilli's Death God powers.
>>6372267
They'd be better served trying to convince you to change your ways, than attempting force.
>>
>>6372308
>Now, if these mantles were destroyed, well... Who's to say what would happen?
I have a pretty good idea, several in fact. They all involve large amounts of people dying for no good reason.
>They'd be better served trying to convince you to change your ways, than attempting force.
This is true, but so far only three people out of hundreds, if not thousands, have actually thought to try this.
More to the point, only two of those actually meant it and one of them had to eat shit and sit with it for an entire timeline before they got with the program.
>>
My best guess as to why Hearts feels this way is that he's a survivor from the original 18 universes, before Zen-Oh trimmed the fat. His gods had failed him and in Zen-Oh's infinite frivolity he nuked it when those universe got too messy and complicated to manually unfuck back into an orderly state. Either that or he's a fallen Angel in disguise, because what happened to those 6 other siblings that presided over those now erased universes?

QM UPDATE

Wanted to give you guys notice, but I'm not going to be running the next episode this weekend. No big reason, just not feeling great. And this arc's too mentally-intensive on my end to not give my best. This week's epilogue will go out this weekend, probably Sunday.

>>6372311
Someone's played God of War III.
Very, too many assume Karn's the 'big strong dumb' type to even try and negotiate.
>>6373056
That's a good insight, it could very well be that. But I'll say he's no angel, as he cannot use Ultra Instinct whatsoever. Something any angel, even one that was demoted could still do.
>>
>>6373263
>Update
Well that sucks. We await your return warrior.
>spoiler
See, I had assumed it would be more of a KOTOR 2 situation, where the backlash of those fundamental forces not existing would ripple through the mortals who are inextricably linked to them, killing all but the strongest in the process.
>Very, too many assume Karn's the 'big strong dumb' type to even try and negotiate.
You'd think more than a handful would do even some basic research on us and realize Karn's pretty thoughtful and deliberate. If we were really the lumbering retard the schemers like to paint us as, we probably wouldn't be teaching classes, taking on administrative duties, or looking after our kids, right?
>>
>>6373272
Aaaaaaaand now that I say that I realize that anybody researching us is also looking up a billion other things, and thus only looks at our highlight reel to speed up the process. All the God killing and world shattering explosions, none of the day-to-day shit or stuff that didn't involve ultraviolence.
>>
>>6373275
To be entirely fair, if I am shopping specifically for a truck with maximum towing power I probably am not going to also look at the mileage or emissions.
>>
>>6373275
Like someone else once said in these threads, Karn's a multi-faceted kind of man in a world where the lines between Good and Evil are pretty cut and dry.
>>
>>6373272
I'll certainly return, not gonna be one of those QMs who just vanish. If I ever do for more than two weeks, I'm probably dead.
Also not entirely untrue. It would certainly be a cataclysm. After all, you destroyed Zamasu's concept of a world without mortals, and look how it changed him.
For a guy who's almost 50, most people don't have time for that much research. Just check the highlight reel of combat, not what he does on his off time. Most jist assume he spends it all either training or making children.
>>6373275
Bingo. They see the Dragon of New Salda, not the man.
>>6373421
True, but you'd think they'd check the interior and pop the hood, check the frame, etc. But most people only see what they want to see, not looking deeper.
>>6373463
Yep. And in the grand scheme of the universal scale, Karn lands pretty solidly on the evil side. Which leads people to assumptions, even Bane had made many of the same before learning Karn's nature.
>>
>>6372308
>:^)
They say there is always a bigger fish. But Cumber is a really big fish. It’s not easy to imagine a bigger one.

Question about Cumber. Pic related. Did he enjoy the fight? I mean Karn gave his 100% into this fight and I hope ancient Saiyan was not disappointed. Karn even gave Cumber a Zenkai when seriously injured him. That was some very good fight in my opinion, so I wonder if Cumber thought this too.

What are his thoughts about Supreme Instinct?
>Now, if these mantles were destroyed, well... Who's to say what would happen?
Is this the point where how entire reality functions becomes altered? I have no idea what could be a result of this.
>>6373056
Interesting theory.
>>6373263
>I'm not going to be running the next episode this weekend
No problem. Enjoy your rest.
>>
>>6373537
You've fought some of the bigger fish before, but always had the outside power of the Seal aiding you before. Like MUI Goku, UE Vegeta, Vegito, etc. But you've yet to fight several characters who're all out here in the big sea and not just the little pond of your timeline.
Oh, he most certainly did. And already wants more. Dunno about Zenkai, if someone like him has anything left to gain from that mechanic or if his lust for battle's already pushed his as far as it goes.
As for Supreme Instinct, he liked fighting it. He got to really cut loose and attack with everything he had.
It would be catastrophic, unless someone with literal reality-altering powers stepped in to stop the damage from potentially ripping reality itself apart.
I will. Need to recharge so I can come at next episode with 100%. Don't want to slip up like I have been lately with wrong names and whatnot, as anon has been catching me at lately. But when we resume, we're gonna go all in. And speaking of all-in, wonder how Meloka's dealing with being unable to help? Against Jiren, against Hulk, and now against Cumber as well? Being surpassed by her daughter and son, as well as her adoptive son Broly too. And being unable to help Karn against Cumber right after, wonder how she's handling this news...?
>>
Reminder there's no episode this weekend, I'm taking a personal break. Epilogue'll hopefully be out sometime Sunday, featuring Meloka's inner conflict.
>>
>>6373658
>Oh, he most certainly did.
Very nice.
She is happy that her children achieved so much. She does not like that she cannot help. Though at the same time she does want to catch up again so she will be able to help once more.

I think she is at the point where she can go in a few different directions. The choice she will make soon will define the path she will take.
Meloka is a hardworking individual and has a lot of willpower, so path she will take it will lead to notable results. I don’t know what will happen. I’m guessing here:
>Meloka’s hard work path.
Path that is quite likely to be taken is to double down on hard work and push the Beyond Blue transformation to new heights. There is a chance she will achieve something unseen yet. Beyond Blue but it’s like super Saiyan three or Rose 3.
>Kaio Ken + Beyond Blue
Another path to strength. Though how far can you push it this way? At some point Kaio Ken’s strain on users body becomes really huge. Does it make it a dead end or perhaps it is usable only to certain power multiplier?
>Ultra Ego
I don’t know if you can get it without Beerus’ help. So I don’t know how likely it is to happen.
>Too much pressure causes Meloka’s usual mindset to break.
She focuses so hard on pushing her strength further and puts such heavy mental pressure on herself that it’s too much. Perhaps in this critical moment she lets go of her usual preference to control the flow of battle and just let herself be. This allows her to reach mindset that is closer and more helpful in attaining Ultra Instinct. If she gets a flash of it and she likes it, she might pursue it. It does not have a high probability to happen, but if it does it will change her life significantly.
>Return to monke.
Dissatisfied with what she did so far she will try radically different approach. Transform into Oozaru and then into Primal Saiyan. She might try to work hard to get Apex, but she may also attempt to use her God Ki with Primal. No clue what will be results of this.
Time she will soon spend with Bardock might have influence on her decision whether she will see this as worth of pursuing or not.
>Return to monke, but in crazy mode.
I’m not sure if this is safe or not and I don’t suspect Meloka will try it. Though there is a little chance she that will. So… she transform into her Super Saiyan God or Beyond Blue form and then she will look at the moon or Power Ball.
Kars already changed into Oozaru with God Ki when he transformed into Rose Oozaru. Will Meloka become a Divine Oozaru? Can you go from there into some new form of Primal but with Divine Ki? Something like what Milha has attained? Who knows.

>The choice she will make soon will define the path she will take.
Oh how true you are. However, she will ask several beings before deciding her path. First and foremost is a mortal deity who has surpassed her. Wonder what advice Chaya will give her to improve her powers?
>Hard Work
Reasonable assumpton.
>Kaio-Ken
Unfortunately, she's reached the limits of viability with that power. Unlike someone like Cell or a Namekian, whose body can regenerate at the rate of it being damaged by the blowback, there's limits to what she can take.
>Ego
That is the power of a Destroyer. If she returns to train with Beerus and Freeza, perhap. Or could potentially learn Ultra Instinct, if she returns to Whis and he accepts her.
If her mind breaks, it won't be Ultra INSTINCT she acquires. As her suppressed Yandere tendencies won't unleash that serene, emotionless power.
>monke
Interesting ideas, both. If she masters monke+divine, it might be that she could obtain something more akin to what heroes calls "Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker", pic related. Which is obtained by doing a similar process to the God ritual. Or perhaps becoming something entitrely new, similar but unique.
>>6373987
That was a fun fight, Chaya vs Kars. Showed him the value of the people's full support and trust.
>>
>>6374096
I'm very curious about what Meloka will decide.
>If her mind breaks, it won't be Ultra INSTINCT she acquires. As her suppressed Yandere tendencies won't unleash that serene, emotionless power.
I wonder what could that be if it will not be Ultra Instinct.
>That was a fun fight, Chaya vs Kars. Showed him the value of the people's full support and trust.
Fun fight indeed.
>>6372308
I wonder if Hearts know this. If he does and he really wants to have a no gods allowed reality what will he do? Set up a Time Patrol like organization, but it’s God Patrol and they hunt down any new deity that emerges?

Or maybe he wants to go even further. To do this:
>Now, if these mantles were destroyed, well... Who's to say what would happen?
>>6373658
>It would be catastrophic, unless someone with literal reality-altering powers stepped in to stop the damage from potentially ripping reality itself apart.
If Hearts wants to go this far, is he aware how much side effects to reality it can have? I wonder if he is ready to do this anyway. Seems like a dangerous thing to do. For a second I wonder if he actually is not an idealist liberator but someone who wants to destroy everything.
>>
>>6374703
Instinct is a lack of emotion, the body acting on its own. If Meloka were to snap, well, it'll look less like UI and more like Takamura. But crazier.
Hearts may or may not actually know how the universe works, and what achieving his 'utopia' would look like. He's a "mortal supremacist" in that he doesn't think gods should be above humans and deciding if they should exist or not.

-Saiyan Conqueror Quest 256 Epilogue-

AGE 759, DREADZONE CHAMPION'S QUARTERS

“Come on, you really think I'm gonna fall for that same bait again?” you say, moving your bishop into an advantageous position instead of taking the obvious bait Tanya offered. Pressuring her king, instead of falling for her obvious trap. Only for Tanya to smirk, moving her other knight to take your bishop. Which you take with a rook, trading a dozen pieces in seconds. And after the scramble, you both are down most of your pieces. “Now the real game starts.”
“You've improved. Not enough to beat me, but you've gotten better.” Tanya remarks, mobilizing her remaining pieces in this simplified game state. However, right as you're about to grab your next piece, you freeze. Feeling an absolutely massive powerlevel suddenly appear. And a moment later, feel your own self from another timeline's power surging too along with your Dad's own. What the hell is going on?! “Di-Do you feel that?”

“Yeah. Dad's fighting something... Wrong.” you say as you focus on that strange energy. It feels familiar, but also different. Like looking at someone you know through a distorting lens, changing them into something made of what you know but completely distorted. “It's a Saiyan, but...”
“That energy radiating off it is unlike anything I've ever felt before. It feels just so... Wrong.” Tanya says, the small woman wrapping her arms around herself, shivering slightly. “Brrrr.”
“Wrong's the right word.” you reply, reaching out telepathically to your alternate timeline self. Getting just a flash of dark aura and a sinister visage before her fist slams into it, and through the telepathic link you FEEL that aura infecting her own. Immediately you rip your mind away from hers, gasping in shock.

“Woah, hey, you okay?” Tanya asks, rushing over around the table, laying a hand on your shoulder. “What did you do?”
“Future me. She tried to fight it. She punched it, and... That energy, it... INFECTED hers.” you say, voice trembling.
“Infected? The hell do you mean, infected?” she asks, tone a mix of confusion and worry. “One person's aura can't infect another's. Can it?”

“That's the only way I can explain it. That sinister energy was bleeding into her own, I could feel it taking her over. Just like that Tuffle bastard.” you say to her, then shake your head. “I need more intel. Hold on.”

And with a thought you reach out once more. Not to your father, whose energy you can feel blazing in response to this thing and what happened to your daughter. But to the other time traveler with your dad and future self: Ace.
>>
>>6374862
“Ace! What the hell's happening?” you think to him, feeling that same strange presence as always whenever you connect with his mind. “What's wrong?”
“Time traveler. Saiyan. His energy infected Chaya's own.” he replies, sending you telepathic flashes of what's happening. How your other self is attacking him relentlessly, eyes whited out like she's gone Berserk. Like your dad, Broly, and Okira do whenever they transform. “I'm keeping her busy while your dad handles him.”
“Handles him? Shouldn't we-?” you start to ask, only to get the mental image of what happened when the other Chaya attacked, how even touching that aura infected her own and turned her, even in her APEX form on them. Then he looks over, and you see through his eyes your own father having no such difficulty. Despite barely budging him with his blows.

“We have to let your dad work. I've never seen anything like this before, this power to corrupt and drive someone mad like this.” he continues, body weaving the other you mindlessly as she rampages. “Anyone else would just get in the way, spread the word. Make sure no one else gets involved. Or we could have a mind-broken army to deal with.”
“Right!” you reply, ending the link with him and immediately reach out to your mother, Tanya sitting across from you, King Vegeta, Leyas and Sarada, Towa, and King Cold too for good measure. Telling them all what's happening, showing them what your father's currently fighting and Ace's warning for everyone to stay away. Everyone ends the link after they all agree to keep everyone else back, so no one further complicates the problem. But as everyone's minds disconnect from your own, only your mother's is left. And you feel a wave of something through the link, a wash of complicated emotions before she addresses you directly.

“Chaya. I... I need to talk to you. In person.” your mother replies, her voice in your mind quiet. Almost as if she's whispering. “Please. I... Need your help.”
“Absolutely.” you reply to her, raising your right hand to your forehead. Vanishing in a flash, appearing beside your mother in her and your dad's bedroom. Where she's sitting on the bed, arms wrapped around herself as you send a thought to your friend. “Tanya, I'll be right back. Mom needs me.”
“Right, let me know when you're coming back.” she answers, you both ending the link as your mom starts to talk.

“Chaya...” your mother says, and for the first time, she just looks... Small. Worried and tiny, not the strong, capable mother you've always seen her as. She looks less like the strong, powerful warrior whose faced death countless times, and instead she just looks... Lost. “I-I don't know what to do.”
>>
>>6374863
“Mom? What do you mean?” you ask, taking a step closer. You haven't seen her this upset since Dad nearly died back in the war, but this time? This time she just looks frail. A word you've never thought fit your mother before. But now, seeing her like this? That's the only word that fits. “Is this about Dad?”
“No! I mean, yes, but no. Agh!” she says, grabbing her hair in frustration a moment before forcing herself to take a deep breath, sighing out and lowering her hands as she continues. “I should be over there. Fighting by his side right now. Not just... Sitting here, like a helpless housewife!”

“We can't help him right now. You saw what it did to that other me.” you say gently, but your mother's gaze rises to your own, eyes blazing with fury. Not at you, but at her own helplessness.
“That shouldn't matter! I should be strong enough to help him, support him, something! There were battles he fought I could not, but I still was there, helping him. Even if it was only keeping others from interfering in the battle. But now....” her voice trails off, then when she speaks again her voice is small, fragile. “I became a god, and for what? If I can't use this power to stand by my Karn and help him, what good is it? Why become a god at all? I thought if I took this power, that I'd be able to stand side-by-side with him. To fight with my Karn against all threats. But no matter how far I push this power, I just... Keep falling further behind.”

The silence hangs between you two at your mother's admission, and once she says that, you begin to see what's really bothering her. What is really bringing about this feeling of helplessness in your mother.

“Not only is your divine power stronger than mine, but now Caulifla and Chilli both too.” she continues, her tone conflicted. Clearly proud of you all, but also furious with herself for falling further and further back. She then raises her eyes again, meeting your gaze. Looking to you for guidance, looking completely lost. “What am I doing wrong? Why have I stopped growing stronger, stopped making progress? I keep putting in the work, but I get less and less out of it.”
“You don't know what you are.” you say gently, experimentally as you sit beside your mother. Wrapping an arm around her shoulders, you realizing how small she really is beside you. “I'm the Goddess of Victory. Cauli's the Goddess of the Darkmoon. Chilli is, or at least was, a God of Death. We all know what we're deities OF. What our divinity is and comes from.”

“What it comes from...?” your mother asks, brows furrowed in confusion as she turns her head to meet your gaze. “What do you mean?”

“My power doesn't come from the ritual, like yours did. But mine is from the quintillions of people who all believe in me. I'm their Goddess of Victory, because they all believe in me to win. They watched me win for years upon years, and all that belief is what made me a goddess.” you say, watching your mother's mind work behind her eyes as she listens to your words. “Cauli was given her divinity from the last Darkmoon god, taking his knowledge of what the power is and can do, and more importantly what it means to be the Darkmoon.”
“And when Chilli became a Death God, it was because he had the power of Death within him. He knew what it would mean to become that deity, and embraced it.” your mother says, understanding what you're getting at. “What you're saying is I need to figure out what I'm a goddess of?”

“Yes. But not figure out. You have to decide.” you tell her, standing up and taking both her hands in yours, pulling her up to her feet as well. “I chose to become the Goddess of Victory, as Tanya became a Goddess of Strategy alongside me. Obtaining divine power's only the first step mom. Once you have it, you have to carve your own place out with it. And that includes dethroning who or whatever held that title before you. Some will surrender quietly, knowing they can't compete, while others will fight until the end. But you have to choose what kind of deity you want to be. What you want to be the goddess of, what you want to be. Even if that's to be the Goddess of Victory.”

You then release her hands, cracking your knuckles as you grin at her.

“But if you're coming for my title, mom, I won't make it easy.” you say, to which your mother laughs. A genuine laugh, not a small, polite one. She laughs for several seconds before regaining her composure. Eyes blazing now with a new fire, not one of rage, but of understanding and newfound determination.
“I won't take what you've spent so long building. But I get it now. If I want to push this divine power further, it needs a cause. Not just a want to be more.” your mother says, reaching up and patting you on the shoulder. “Thank you, Chaya. This means more to me than you know.”

You return her grin with one of your own, happy to have helped. But as you both talk, about less serious, heavy subjects now, your mind keeps wandering back to one question: what kind of deity will your mom choose to be?

Well, that explains why we were left high and dry during the ruckus. Anyways, it is a pretty complicated question posed by Chaya here. As for what answer Meloka might come to...

>“We have to let your dad work. I've never seen anything like this before, this power to corrupt and drive someone mad like this.”
>“Anyone else would just get in the way, spread the word. Make sure no one else gets involved. Or we could have a mind-broken army to deal with.”
Now I see what happened. It was wise to do. I wonder if Okira and Broly are protected too because they have Berserker Soul? Or is it something else? Energy Body? What exactly allowed Karn to resist Cumber’s corruptive aura? I guess we will understand that eventually.
I wonder if his aura could also corrupt Divine Ki? Would it affect Meloka too? It was safe to not show up, but I’m curious if she would become controlled like Future Chaya too. Future Chaya has Mortal Ki, so I wonder if Meloka’s God Ki would make a difference.

>“What you're saying is I need to figure out what I'm a goddess of?”
>“Yes. But not figure out. You have to decide.”
Fascinating epilogue. Though I wonder what could fit Meloka?
>Goddess of [?????]
Is there a one word that can really describe her? I can’t find it. Something that fits her? That can be summed up in one word? I guess maybe she needs to find that something herself. I wonder what she will choose if she goes down this path.
>>6374919
>vigilance
It’s an interesting choice.
>>6375004
>If Meloka The Vigilant falls by the wayside, Sapphire Apex Evolved is on the table, among other things. She's got options, that's for sure.
“Sapphire Apex Evolved” sounds cool. That would be something interesting too.
>>
>>6375004
Fair. But your friends had your back, even if you were unaware how.
There are a lot of single words that could potentially describe her. But given how deeply she sleeps, Vigilant isn't the best.
She certainly has options.
>>6375126
Potentially, but love would be more widespread, and marriage? She's only had one. However, in that vein, Devotion is quite the word. A Yandere's more devoted to their target than anyone else, after all.
>>6375420
A VERY good question. If they aren't then tha protection's unique to Karn. But if they are, then it's the Berserker Soul. Speaking of, call back to when Karn learned from Miyashi how it was supposedly created...
And a good question. But if you recall, the Super Saiyan God was CREATED to battle the Evil Saiyans in the Saiyan War that destroyed Planet Sadala.
There are plenty of one-word descriptors. Remember, don't only choose words that have single meanings. I used Devotion as the example above, because she can embody both healthy and unhealthy devotion, all the way to the extremes.
Sapphire Apex does sound cool.

>If Meloka were to snap, well, it'll look less like UI and more like Takamura.
>But crazier.
I read a bit about him. Pic related. In the light of this, the power hidden within Meloka seems scary. How would you call this state? It’s not “Ultra Instinct”, so maybe “Murderous Instinct”? Perhaps she can go entire life without ever unlocking it.

I'm just saying, when the sound effects for your punches are jets flying by and train wrecks, you ain't to be fucked with.

For context, Takamura had to cut weight for this fight, and was so physically drained he wasn't even sweating anymore after I believe it was the fifth or sixth round. And later on, completely on empty, he SNAPS. Body moving on autopilot, reflexively trying to kill Hawks. If Meloka goes this way, "Murderous Intent" or "Killer Instinct" could be a good name for it. And he's so far gone he doesn't even remember this happening, he 'wakes up' as the ref's telling him to back away for the ten count. And yes, the scars on his chest are from where he fist fought a bear. Here:

Absolutely. Although Chaya's sound a lot more terrifying, like the Thunderscreech levels of terrifying when she wants.

Surely she isn't so cruel? kek

For the Divine Domain thing I am somewhat confused. Meloka is the only one who actually went through the Super Saiyan God Ritual. With an actual population of Saiyans backing her up, and their total reputation, shouldn’t she already have the Domain of Goddess of Saiyans?

Also to touch on the Aku stuff since I’m already posting this. I’m confident Aku won’t be a problem.

Ignoring our friendship, Aku is intimately aware of how much Karn has fought The Dark, that his Berserker Soul is Anti Divine, and literally fully kindled a full Soul of Manus from another timeline, not to mention his daughter is the new Goddess of the Darkmoon.

As we saw in the Final Season of Samurai Jack Aku has no problems letting Time take care of anyone who could actually stop him and Karns not immortal.

I’m not saying he will 100% plunge our Universe into a new Age Of Darkness once Karn dies but I’m 100% sure he won’t even try until then.

Also since I’m waiting on Captcha now, a funny option for Meloka, Motherhood :v

>If my biology won’t let me have more kids I’ll just use bend reality with God Magic so I can anyways!

JK. GD will never force himself to have to track more kids.

When you reach speeds of thousands of punches and kicks a second like she did against Jiren, that's what it would sound like to most beings observing.
>>6376076
Yes, technically. But only a goddess of THOSE Saiyans specifically. Especially when other Saiyans began exhibiting divine powers, and that faith was spread.
Aku won't be a problem for YOU. After your time, who's to say?
Ha. No, even if she could, she's already let that dream go. Reopening herself to that would only hurt more once she lost the ability to time again.
>GD will never force himself to have
Oh no it's gonna get a lot more. Exponentially so, possibly, with grandchildren.
>>
>>6375000
>No, not left. Your allies avoided making the fight EXPONENTIALLY harder for you.
I did not think much about it, because in the droid factory there were almost no lifeforms. If Cumber attacked in a place that is full of living creatures like for example the Dragon City. He could theoretically turn all those people against Karn. Perhaps he could even turn animals against us. Now plants usually don’t move, but If there were some plants that can attack. Like some carnivorous plants. Perhaps they would be infected too by his aura.

I wonder what would happen if he remained on planet New Salda while spreading his aura. Could he infect entire life on the planet with this? Would avatar of the planet need to react? This aura of his is really strange. If someone remains under influence of this evil aura for a long time are there lasting effects?
>>6375532
>I used Devotion as the example above, because she can embody both healthy and unhealthy devotion, all the way to the extremes.
Devotion is a nice word. It could be one for Meloka.
>And a good question. But if you recall, the Super Saiyan God was CREATED to battle the Evil Saiyans in the Saiyan War that destroyed Planet Sadala.
So it should protect her from Cumber’s aura.
>>6376076
>If my biology won’t let me have more kids I’ll just use bend reality with God Magic so I can anyways!
Interesting. If she was in Goddess form while this happens would the child inherit God Ki? A Saiyan born with God Ki. That would be unusual as Karn Jr. I wonder if this could happen.
>>
>>6376709
>all
Some may be able to resist, others would be smart enough to not get in the way of a Karn-tier threat. But I will say Cumber's aura only seemingly works on Saiyans.
It is a very complex word, in its implications isn't it? Why when choosing a domain, it is important. Such as Chaya, she is the Goddess of Victory. But what IS victory? Simple, depends on the context. She weakened Jiren to the point he could be beaten, that was a victory. She made it to the end of the ToP and her team won, that's a victory.
>protect
Possibly. Or turn her into target number one, as Cumber will most likely remember the fiery aura of a Super Saiyan God as his sworn enemy.
Would have to hold it, or we'd have another... Situation. Going to and from god forms would undoubtedly do far more to a developing child than going into Super Saiyan.
>>
>>6376775
>Would have to hold it, or we'd have another... Situation.
perhaps one of the more underlooked sad moments in this quest. felt a pit in me when I read it for the first time. poor thing.
>>
>>6376777
Won't lie, had NEVER planned to cover half the more serious topics we have over this quest's time. Between the Towa situation, Chilli's ptsd, Meloka losing that child, Chaya's mental break, Chilli's heart-wrenching question, Tatsu senior's ending and Caulifla's survivor's guilt and killing herself pushing herself to her limits out of guilt, there have been quite a few deep, serious moments.

QM UPDATE! Fucking happening! It LIVES! Only almost two entire fucking months after the first rebuild transmission failed, the third is working perfectly! I am no longer carless! I got my wheels back! Had not realized how heavily this was weighing on me until it's over. We back in full force now!

That's interesting and strange too.

True.

Awesome.

>>6377023
It has been MONTHS. I first took my car in back mid-December, and aside from a single week, has been down since then. But it's finally back and better than ever.
>>6377186
It is an interesting conundrum, isn't it? And even moreso when, later on, others could learn to CONTROL that power, instead of being consumed by it. Pic possibly related.
Being a survivor of the war plucked from time, Cumber would most definitely recognize the God aura. He'd remember that feeling and attack.
And yes it is. Feels good to be driving my own wheels again.
