Shit, this is all within driving distance, and this is first a time ever for the region too. I'll have to go.

thats the last magnetic fields rally game from 1999, Rally Championship 2000
https://youtu.be/YMmif4LQl5Y?si=CUqRJ4tBDRdtCOVB
it's about the 1999 British Rally Championship. Fairly better and more sim focused game than CMR2 (Better physics, considerably longer stages, etc...), but the CMR2 had way bigger maketing pull .
Still has a fairly dedicated community still btw

Sooooo, guess I'm back on the hard captchas for a while.
You can post acestrlms, but anything after that gets you nuked, even with the usual (dot) stuff, or so I'm told.
Just googeling that will get you the link though, so telling frens to do that will work. Posting screen caps of the url bar has worked, in Minecraft, so that's an option. Remember to always try to refer new anons to previous posts of links if they exist.
No one will go without a race stream as long as I have one to share.
Thanks again, Germananon for reminding me that there was a mirror. I 100% forgot about that.
Pic definitely unrelated .

redbullloseslol, post-race investigation for will brown spinning wheels in pit lane, definitely a penalty, probably 15 seconds added on at the end which is much worse than getting it mid-race when you might soak it up with a safety car

you don't fuck around in pitlane, too many dudes standing around not looking at the fast lane
speeding, spinning wheels, unsafe release and loose wheels are all fucking lethal, especially when the drivers have no fucking visibility at all
>>
>>
>>
>>153582334
the rules have gradually shifted over time to not penalise drivers for things that aren't their fault (loose wheel, detached wheel nuts, no jack stands when people are working under the car) but for anything else they hit them hard because nobody wants dead pit crew on tv

>Really depends if you like prototypes or production based bikes.
I see the appeal of both, but I'm not too into bikes, so I'm more interested on the on track competition. It's really the same for cars, too, but I pay a lot more attention there.
>I feel like lately I like SBK’s racing more
Same. From the few dozen races I've seen over the last few years, they seem to have more wheel to wheel racing.

>spinning wheels in pit lane
Man, I thought you cunts were based. Wheel spin in the pits is standard in American racing. IMSA, IndyCar and NASCAR all do it to heat up the rear tiers.
>>153582321
>>153582370
I can agree with a lot of that, but loose/unattended wheels are a huge hazard because if a moving car hit one, it can get launched who knows where. In my mind, that is a rule that needs to be strictly enforced. An Aston Martin hit a Corvette wheel that was left in the pits at Watkins Glen in 2023 and it was lucky no one got hurt.
We have rules for most of that (besides the wheel nut) and the thinking is you are penalizing the team, not the quarterback or full forward in more familiar terms.

He was leading an investor group (absolutely separate from parada) and he had in the running, but their bid was not among the final 5 finalists, so it ended
That means there were way more bidders than we thought, I think we only heard rumors about 2 others (1 saudi, 1 eric boullier led french group)

To expand on the news. This whole event comes out of left field, it's a bit similar to how SD is having a race this year.
The world cup is essentially forcing the series to race outside Mexico City, and the Tulum airport is a financial disaster, so they're taking the opportunity to promote the event in hopes it brings more attention to the place.
The biggest challenge here is that Tulum is a dump destination that attracts hippies and influencers with no notable car events outside the Rally Maya Mexico, which is just a rolling museum that travels around the peninsula.
It looks to be a really hard sell that could end up in failure, though I'm sure enough curious people will go because the air show will be free, and it'll be considered a mild success.

How does this mickey mouse tyre company get away with putting out its dangerous clown world tyres in all the top racing series (2 and 4 wheels) decade after decade?
>>

>>153585978
>Man, I thought you cunts were based. Wheel spin in the pits is standard in American racing. IMSA, IndyCar and NASCAR all do it to heat up the rear tiers.
not while on the ground, while up on jacks and people are working on the car ie hands are near the wheels ie oops you don't have fingers any more
>>
>>153593117
you are retarded if you think anything will change with a different tyre supplier
Until there is a single supplier bullshit, every tyre company will try to make the cheapest and shittiest tyre they can get away with, because they have a fixed exclusive contract therefore the incentive is for profit maximizing and not making better tyres.
Pirelli will be shit as well next year.

A few of the riders have already tested the pirelli's on motogp bikes and said they feel much safer, Plus wsbk is also a 1 tyre make championship and the riders there say the pirelli's are a good tyre and they know what to expect of them, michelin is just a shit tyre company and always has been.

Agreed.
I would like to see one weekend with two sprint races. Either one each day or two the same day with a couple hours in between. I very much enjoy all the aspects of endurance racing, but there is definitely something to be said for basically jumping directly into the final stint.
>>
>>153600188
Like a year ago i was complaining about the best cars and best rules being cucked for endurance only and some anon here told me imsa did some short races and i love imsa now, i would go for maybe 13 rounds with 3 or 4 of them being sprints

It's a shame more manufacturers can't or won't participate in IMSA. They run some fantastic tracks and I think the officiating is pretty good, FCY procedures not withstanding. I really wish some rounds like Sebring and Petit le Mans counted towards [insert top tier global sports car championship] points like they used to.

This track is based as hell if for no other reason than it just has infinity runoff instead of walls and gravel traps. That really helps keep the race going while the shitters are shitting.

I came across the C1 cup 24h race stream a while ago, these are really weird to watch. Years of raceism trained me to expect cars to accelerate out of a corner, and if a car doesn't it's an immediate cause of concern and usually race ending. So the C1s constantly caught me out because they never accelerate coming out of any corner

45 passed tech but no way that car was within the rules. Both Ross and Briscoe basically said as much in the post race. Ross said it was like the 45 had another gear, and Briscoe said it didn't matter what he did he couldn't get a run on Tyler. Leading the pack with a missing RF fender, too.

What are we even talking about here? A stranger? beaten to a pulp and straight to jail. But as it relates to Michael Jordan, in this scenario you've made up; if the man is a close friend who I've known for years, shown zero creepy behavior, played with, held my child countless times., No problem at all.
>>
Shane has gotten pretty good at plate racing. I think it's the high downforce package that Trackhouse brings, but he's consistently making his way to the front in these races. Lost the nose in the final corner behind Ross or they might have had a massive run coming to the checkers.

He might've also had some damage to the car cause of all the wrecks he was stuck in. Cause its normal for a car to lose performance when its damaged. Either way he doesn't even need to really win oval races to contend for a title since hes going to cash in wins with all the road courses.
>>153636163

>>
>>153637240
I think Zilly will eventually keep him honest at road courses, but the car is so different I think it'll take Connor the better part of this season to really figure things out. Pretty sure Shane will win COTA with ease next weekend.

Those Hurst/Olds were badass fucking cars. Serious horsepower under the hood, with peak American styling.

I agree with the talking heads that Hocevar is great for NASCAR, but he really needs to get a win. Or else his act gets old. Wild Ross was phenomenal because he was out of control fast too, but he managed to turn some of those races into wins.
Related funny moment from the broadcast today was when Harv said that Hocevar was mogging his teammates. Suarez has been solid through two races, but it's obvious Hocevar is the only dude in the Spire stable with speed.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Luck plays a significant part in NASCAR. The driver and team need to be excellent to be up front and in a position to win, but literally no one can predict some of the insane stuff that happens sometimes. Like Larson dive bombing SVG across three lanes yesterday. I don't even think he expected that.

Nah, luck is so overstated in these races. you need the skills to take advantage of opportunities and the skills to stay out of trouble. Tyler wouldn't have won 2 in a row otherwise. Another example would be Bubba who doesn't seem to have trouble doing either, despite being in the shit conatantly. But Shane does. He's simply not as good as plebbit makes him out to be even as one of the supposed "GOAT"s of kiwiland.

Have you ever noticed how Kyle Larson and Alex Palou both have fucking giant huge moles on their foreheads so basically they have created a second small brain implanted into their skulls where the cabal basically controls the car and they are possessed by the fucking cabal and when they disconnect from their cabal brain they forget how to drive and become like normal humans and shit remember this week Kyle Larson crashed and he crashed and shit remember when he crashed well he just has a prototype brain that disconnects from his main brain and causes him to crash the Kyle Larson we know is not the real Kyle Larson Kyle Larson is dead trapped in zombie cabal brain body they are pussies by the cabal remember when Alex Palou gave the lead to Scott Dixon for no fucking reason he would never fucking do that of course the cabal jammed his fucking second brain they are possessed by the cabal they are pussies before the cabal when you see a man with a large mole on their forehead you don't see a man you see a fucking zombie now who's fault is this but Rodger Penske basically he was going to give Will Power a cabal second brain but Will fled the team so basically he gave the cabal second brain to Chip Ganassi and everybody who has at least on eye in their head can see that Chip Ganassi is a puppet of Rodger Penske and when Chip Ganassi wins Rodger Penske wins and Chip Ganassi Racing is a Rodger Penske shadow satellite team run by the cabal of course he would give the brain to Ganassi because people don't realize that Penske and Ganassi are the same damn team you RETARDS anyway notice how Kyle Larson was basically groomed into joining Ganassi racing because he was young and did not know any better and he ended up with this giant fucking mole on his forehead for no reason and left to HMS in 2021 after they staged him to say nigger and get fired and get sent to HMS so no one catches on to him being an Alex Palou cabal second brain prototype he won ten races in NASCAR so then
>>

Alex Palou wins the Indycar title for first time that year and then the cabal allows Will Power to win a title to keep in a cabal team like Penske but now he ran away anyway so what the fuck are you going to do but Rodger saw this coming Rodger saw this coming this is why they planted the cabal second brain in Alex Palou because he did not know any better because he just came over he did not know Indycar and Nascar are run by Penske cabal and he was tricked by Penske puppet Ganassi who then turn Palou into a cabal second brain zombie and then now he wins to keep the cabal in power but his soul is screaming deep within like Kyle Larson but the only way to save them is non cabal Indycar champ like why the fuck would Will Power leave yes because he wants to break free from cabal slavery you may see Josef Newgarden get a cabal second brain in the coming years just to see fake war between Penske and Ganassi even through they are the same fucking team holy shit you fucking RETARDS but no one would realize it because because Kyle Larson is in NASCAR now for what fucking reason did he just decide to show up at the Indy 500 for no fucking reason in the most cabal puppet team ever holy shit holy shit they were just tuning the jamming process so they could jam Alex Palou at Mid Ohio unfortunately Kyle Larson's Cabal Second Brain is only rated for 200 miles per hour but the job was done and they jammed Alex Palou now they can simply play god and be evil with this fake war with Josef Newgarden and Alex Palou somebody save Kyle Larson Josef Newgarden and Alex Palou Mick Schumacher saw first hand in WEC how damaging the cabal is and Bobby Rahal hired him to defeat the the cabal in conclusion we need a non-cabal champion in Indycar like Will Power Mick Schumacher or Kyle Kirkwood to save the sufferers anyway you will see more cabal second brain havers like Josef Newgarden and Pato O'Ward see more in NASCAR like Joey Logano and Alex Bowman
>>
>>153645835
or just keep believing the Penske cabal lies and be brainwashed as Kyle Larson and Alex Palou suffer on in their zombie bodies in conclusion we need a non cabal champion or else the the Penske cabal will just do what they want stop believing their lies.

your point was that uniquely GMC would be rejected for application, or would cost substantially more for something that any logical person in charge of NASCAR would recognise as just a Chevy bodyshell with slightly altered stickers. NASCAR ain't F1, the amount of times teams get busted for cheating the most obvious shit makes it obvious how little of a damn inspectors actually give about this sort of thing until someone points it out. if it "looks alright" it's good to go.
in the 60s, GM dropped all funding whatsoever but guys kept running GM cars.
in the 70s Penske ran AMCs with no factory support
in the 80s Arrington and a few other guys ran Chryslers with no factory support
in the 90s several ARCA teams ran Mopar with no factory support
in the 00s there were Dash guys running Toyotas with no factory support
I strongly suspect GM had very little to do with the 2003 Pontiac updates considering they back out of NASCAR at the end of the season (which I strongly suspect is why Gibbs switched to Chevy after 2002).
I also strongly suspect Stellantis is only giving marginal support to Kaulig.
you're just making shit up because you felt a need to respond to me even though you didn't actually know.

We'll learn a lot more at Phoenix and Vegas, but it appears both 23XI and Trackhouse found some speed in the offseason. TH didn't get the results at Daytona but had great handling cars that were all up front at some point. It also appears that whatever advantage Ford had at plate tracks is now gone. The 23 and 45 were the class of the field at both races.

Why wouldn't GM want GMC in trucks, practically speaking? They're different brands under the same roof, sure, but they ostensibly cater to different market segments. Is the fear of cannibalization really so great?
>>
It's hard to argue against the quality of plate racing the Atlanta reconfig has delivered. Unlike Dega or Daytona where everyone has a solid chance to win, the best cars are winning at Atlanta. No matter what happened to shake up the field yesterday with different strats, wrecks, etc, the same cars kept making their way to the front every time.

There was a lot of discussion on GM brands and keeping clear market segregation during their 2008 federal bailout.
GMC and Buick survived by filling different market roles (even with the same platforms) while Pontiac couldn't justify itself alongside Chevy and the US govt pruned it.

I know this is an unpopular opinion and most race fans like him, but I find Adam Alexander's shtick annoying. He uses the same script and cadence but alters action verb and driver. "X driver doing something" "X driver name to the front/point/etc".
Also, his voice was cracking like a pubescent boy calling Sneed's win lol.

I shit on him all the time, but I kinda miss Rick Allen. Particularly after watching Jamie Little try to PBP all these truck races. But I think I'm kinda with you a little. The action kinda narrates itself, all we need is insight from the former/current drivers, but there are still times where a pro PBP probably is needed. I think Mike Joy is great btw, but we've never had a Nantz or even a Tirico in NASCAR. I also think the NBA, even on regional broadcasts, have a bunch of PBP dudes who would be an improvement in NASCAR. MLB too.
Dunno why we've never attracted top tier talent in that industry.

So was Logano just wearing a rug last year? He went from thinning, to a full head of hear with hair loss sponsorship, to full on Picard bald. How does this all happen naturally in like 2 years?

I mean, Al Michaels and Keith Jackson were calling NASCAR and F1 races in the late 70s and 80s.

Who caaaaares dude. I'm not focused about his heckin hair. That's what moms and their girlfriends worry about lmao. I'm focused to see if the Chase exposes him as a fraud.

I just watched the highlight reel for Atlanta this evening, and they did in fact mention him for a minute when he was leading.
He then very nearly wrecked his car twice and lost something like six spots, and never came up again.

Desu I think Mike Joy is our Jim Nantz. Is there a more definitive combination for calling NASCAR races than Mike Joy, DW, and Larry Mac?
With you tho, Rick Allen was good, even if we made him good by memeing his stock phrases to hell and back.

I think, it's because GMC is their work truck/fleet vehicle brand and they want to use NASCAR to promote to individual consumers.
I haven't looked in a very long time, but as I remember it, if you wanted leather seats and a nice stereo in a GM truck, you needed to get the Chevy branded version. At least, that's my guess.

I really miss Pontiac as a brand. They were often trying to do something fun and interesting. The Trans-Am, especially the GPX, was pretty fun and I can't help wonder what the Fiaro could have been. Imagine an American mid engine turbo 6 cylinder with four decades of development.

Yeah, Jamie is a great pit reporter, but not so hot in the box.
I'll point to Buxton as an example of a good play by play anouncer. Diffy is kind of an annoying goofball, but his excitement is contagious and I thinkthat'sa good trait for that position. I think a good PBP anouncer can really hype up a race, even if it is boring. The F1 team does a LOT of heavy lifting in that regard.

I've never laid eyes on a proper real Pontiac in my life, yet the Firebird's been on my mind since I was old enough to know what a car is.
