Hes good. I also like the older black guy with the short fro and moustache. He talks like a dad and when he has to warn someone he sounds like hes disappointed.

It isn't. Barrios was the weakest champion possibly ever. Ryan was gasping for air after this fight and it wasn't even a tough fight. Just coasting for the most part. Wouldn't surprise me if Haney beats him and no one wants that but Ryan really is trash.

What? That version of Ryan had light footwork, speed & timing, strong and compact punches, electric combinations, and he never fucking stops. Those are features you would only see from a generational, era-defining boxer.
WBC KingRy is a bad man. Feed him Crawford and Shakur.

What I don't understand is what does boxing gain from employing a jobber like Barrios over and over. I've never seen a worse excuse for a pro boxer get so many paydays. It should've ended after Davis, I would understand maybe ONE more fight after that on tv but how he's managed to keep getting chances for zero talent and horrible fights really makes me think. Everything about him is bad. He can't box, he larps as an "aztec" but he doesn't go to war like Margarito did, he's got zero personality, a stupid ugly peasant face, there's literally nothing redeeming about him or suggests he should be anywhere near a tv screen.
I can only conclude he's representative of a deeper corruption in boxing. A fucking patsy to pad records, hold and transfer belts to others like last night.. just an empty vessel. A shitbag. A charlatan, a BUM!

Yeah that's another one. I don't think they ever gifted that bum a title tho. Cruz is a shitter too but he actually comes to fight, Barrios literally just stands there like a walking heavy bag all night and barely can muster a goddamn jab. Guys a total fucking waste.

A fight where Ryan actually used his JAB and a modicum of footwork? Im actually sorry I missed this, but then again Bummios is trash and any /box/chad would know this by now. Still, it makes Ryan’s next fight quite interesting. Personally I’d like to see the Hiney rematch.

“Nick Ball? More like Poké Ball, gotta catch this nap.”
>>
>>153633678
>>153633503
Ryan at his state won't beat Shakur because he goes into defense mode the moment he gets hit. He was literally back pedaling against Devil Hiney when he didn't knock him down. He was also running away from Barrios then moment Barrios landed something. On the back foot Ryan is completely useless. If Ryan can bite down and just fucking swing and exchange, he has a chance to really hurt Shakur, because Shakur gets hit and Ryan is a powerful combination puncher who is just as fast if not faster.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>153634742
Ryan has a lot of flaws, and his inability to fight on the backfoot is one of them. That's why Haney was able to win all the rounds he wasn't dropped lol. Ryan's only way of fighting on the backfoot-- yesteryear AND tomorroyear, is by throwing the lead hook to punish the right hand or a lazy guard. If you're smart with your offense, or God forbid a southpaw, you have zero concern.
Swinging and exchanging won't work on Shakur since Shakur would look to piece him up with single, precise punches. If Ryan was good enough to exchange consistently and properly, Shakur would just pull back and counter him (because he's an actual good boxer) and Ryan's right hand would be too far to touch him because Shakur would have the dominant foot position
>>
>>153635880
I'm not worried about him not being humble; you'd be hard pressed to find a boxer who didn't talk his shit.
What pisses he off was his reaction to getting his neck bent by Albright and Albright treating his brother like he was Fury against Usyk. That was arrogant and disgusting. And this fucking retard is demanding all this money, acting like he's some top 10 p4p talent, when he's a fucking NOBODY to most boxing viewers. I fucking HATE keyshawn davis
>>
>>
>>153636164
If Ryan can learn to cut off the ring and put Shakur on the ropes like Zepeda and let his hands go he has a shot. Ryan is legit a big puncher with fast hands, which is the only reason I'm giving him a punchers chance because he for sure isn't going to outbox anybody. We shouldn't underestimate his speed, Haney couldn't deal with it the whole fight when Ryan managed to let his hands go, even though Haney soundly outboxed Ryan in the other rounds. Who knows what happens when Shakur gets cracked.
>>
>>
>>
>>153636346
>If Ryan can learn to cut off the ring and put Shakur on the ropes like Zepeda and let his hands go he has a shot.
Yeah, if my mom had balls, she'd be my dad. Luckily for Shakur and Haney, considering Ryan had so much success with this style, he's very unlikely to change anything. The next time he fights, he'll likely be 10% better, which means someone like Shakur should beat him soundly
God imagine if Ryan Garcia was a good boxer.... I just got chills....
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>153636795
He is quite crazy lol. We have to learn to look at the writing on the wall. Ryan only decided to take his training seriously because he was humiliated and devastated after Rolly, and basically had to bend to break. Now, Ryan has tasted success and glory again, and history has shown us that Ryan never fixes what isn't broken.. or improves himself just for the sake of it....
It's up to Shakur if he wants to lose. He can either treat Ryan like a power puncher who lets his hands go, or Ryan "Left Hook" Garcia
>>
Mario Barrios came to FIGHT & got SWEPT
Teofemale came to get a PAYCHECK to pay off debt (he said this before the fight)
A Barrios win is LEVELS above a Teo win‼
Barrios been in there with elite fighters & was the toughest champion at 147 after Boots left #FACTS
>>
>>
Shakur won't be able to hit Ryan as much
Teofimo was right there to be hit with a jab all night
If Shakur throws a jab from the outside & Ryan throws a jab from the outside, Ryan's jab will land. Shakurs won't
Shakur will HAVE TO step forward more, which will put him at risk

I had one of those dreams that doesn’t just feel real but actually replaces reality for a while. For some reason my mind decided I wasn’t myself anymore. I was Tyson Fury, The Gypsy King, champion of the world, a giant with impossible balance and a strange mix of chaos and control. And what made it so vivid was how slowly everything unfolded. It felt like a full night of living someone else’s life.
It began in a dim hotel room. I woke up in a body that felt enormous. My shoulders were wider, my arms heavier, my hands looked like something designed for demolition. Even my breathing sounded different, deep and resonant. When I stood up and caught my reflection, I saw Fury staring back at me but with my thoughts still intact. It wasn’t scary, more like discovering a superpower I wasn’t supposed to have.
The next moment I was in a training facility. I was wrapping my hands, and the wraps seemed endless as if every layer added more gravity to the moment. The sound of music echoed in the distance, something dramatic, something perfect for Fury’s theatrics. My coach was talking at me quickly but all I felt was a strange calm, an inner steadiness. When I started shadowboxing in front of a mirror, it was unreal. Controlling a frame that large felt like piloting a giant machine, but the movements were smooth and instinctive. Every jab felt precise. Every slip felt like a wave rolling beneath me.
Then the dream jumped to the arena. Nighttime. Backstage. I was wearing an over the top robe, exactly the type of entrance gear Fury loves. People were all around me, adjusting things, talking, preparing, but I was locked into this focused stillness. My heart wasn’t racing. It beat with this slow, powerful rhythm that felt unshakeable. When the walkout music crashed through the speakers and I stepped into the lights, the stadium erupted. I couldn’t see faces, just a sea of movement and energy. And instead of being overwhelmed, I felt weightless, almost carried by the noise.

>BREAKING: Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao 2 is OFFICIALLY set for September 19
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>
Floyd Mayweather crafted his career to perfection, officially retiring in 2017 after beating Conor McGregor to become 50-0. But really was retired in 2015 after beating Andre Berto. JUST how broke is Floyd that he could risk his perfect career of never being dropped, beat or had a draw. Guy must be knees deep in debt.
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>153644586
As much as I’d want Floyd to lose him losing at this stage would really mean nothing other than a permanent stain on his perfect record, and him beating a semi active old Pacquiao would only enhance his legacy sadly…

The only upgrade Ryan showed was his willingness to throw different punches from different ranges. It's a useful upgrade, but it's not like he's twice as good now. He simply letting his hands go, but his defense is still abysmal
>>
>>
>>
>>153645017
doesn't matter because none of us care anymore. we all know Manny stayed in the trenches while Floyd moisturized as much as he selectively fought. nothing else that happens will ever change that perception.
>>
>>153645017
Manny has been semi active over the last decade fighting at a high level, even getting some good wins along the way and was tit for tat with active champ Barrios, (yes I know he’s shit). Floyd hasn’t been active at a top level and no one knows how shit he might actually look in a real fight at this stage.
>>
>>153641296
If inoue wanted to i believe he couldve easily pulled a pac and beaten champs in weights all the way up to super light. Your telling me he couldnt potentially pick up wins against guys like Angelo Leo, Foster/Navarrette, Isaacs Cruz when he was champ, barrios etc?

Actually, I think Floyd has technically been more active physically and boxing wise, even if it was a bunch of exhibitions. Plus floyd fights a style that can complement his waning stamina. And isn't it funny we get floyd v pac 2 after seeing the best of current Manny against barrios? Floyd by UD
>>

>>153645190
>Foster
Shock Foster? I don't know about him, but I definitely know he couldn't beat Esock at 135. Inoue could get suckered into a fight and get caught when his hands are down. Barrios, though, does nothing when you punch and when you're not punching

I've noticed Haney's been tryna develop his left hook lately

Ryan better stay focused cause Haney is always laser focused !!

Yeah you know what, if Haney ends up dominating him, or winning with minimal damage or adversity, I can see him milking him for all the money he can get outta him. However if that's the case, I can see Ryan being reluctant to fight him. Or maybe he will, since he'd see it as 1-1
But I guess it depends if he finds any hope in their 2nd fight, or if it's a shutout like Kur v Teo

>insane because floyd was even sucking off the state of israel and shit for the longest
What does that actually have to do with him being poor? Did you think the Israelis were giving him money? Or the Jewish overlords in America we're going to make sure he kept his money?
Anyway, it is quite sad "Money" May, who prioritized money over glory, has reached the same end as boxers who prioritized glory over money

A subset of American blacks got memed into thinking Islam is "their" religion
It's weird, but I think it has to do with them getting christianised. I think the African shamanic religions are too alien for them at this point, but they still wanted to rebel against whitey with their choice of religion, so they chose another monotheistic religion that is kind of present in Africa (but so is Christianity, the Ethiopian church is one of the oldest in the world)
Cults like Nation of Islam also pretended to be Islam to attract black Americans, it's pretty weird
>>

I still dont understand why haney gets so much shit. He has a great record and is a genuinely good dude, it pains me that he got cheated against and somehow people are happy that ryan literally tried to kill him? Because thats what using peds in boxing is, attempted murder.

>>153650398
I dont and you shouldn't really give a fuck about ryan using peds/coming in massively overweight when haney was massively connected to victor conte for years and was dehydrating to middleweight for the loma fight. I'd wager about 99% of all the top fighters have abused peds at some point so I really just dont care if that's how his loss came about. I do agree that haney gets a bit too much shit however despite his irritating antics, hes the only one of those 4 Queens who isn't completely bitchmade

Shakur and Ryan are actually very similar. Both extremely flat footed, high twitch muscle fibres, fast hands but mostly throw single shots, Shakur has better defence and timing but Ryan has better offence and power and he’s bigger. Much closer fight than people think it would be. Probably be a lot of fast twitching feints to see who lands first and could likely be a snoozer.

meh who cares what the actual reason is when you peel back all the layers of the onion. glom on to what feels relatable to you and makes you feel like you're part of something bigger than yourself seems like normal enough behavior that most everyone does. your thing is just as alien to them as theirs is to you. live and let live is the only way to really connect with anyone imo.

I can see that. it sounds like it makes sense, but I can also imagine a scenario where Shakur taps into a predatory instinct once he feels comfortable and slowly walk down Ryan throughout the latter rounds.

Ryan’s too big for Shakur to walk down comfortably. Will just be a lot of feinty shit with both of them stuck in mid range. He could walk down Teo because he’s a bit of a midge and doesn’t have the same reflexes that Shakur or Ryan has.

Haney's style is extremely ugly, I'm not exaggerating when I say it is possibly the ugliest style in boxing history. It is impossible to enjoy watching him. We don't need more of Haney in boxing, so anytime he gets Ls, it is good for the sport.
He is also a bitch and don't blame it on his dad. He pushed Loma at the weight in and robbed him at the fight.

WBC KingRy would knock Shakur down. Ryan's agression is very hard to read, and he is more dangerous when his opponent is fighting on the back foot. Shakur would get rattled and spam obvious feints. Haney is unironically a tougher fight than Shakur for KingRy.

I could see KingRy knocking Shakur down. The training with Benavidez clearly paid off. Just like how Shakur trained with Bud, Floyd and Ward to up his game, Ryan needs a mentor too to show him some tips. If he keeps training with Benavidez he could improve even further.
