At least you can see which analysts picked Canela for number 10
>>153654463
I also think p4p only works around top 5, and I don't think you can even order it from 1 to 5, top 5 just represents the elite group. I still don't believe Shakur is in top 5.

Navarette:
+Experienced at the world level
-Got lazy
-I think the wars are taking their toll on him
Nunez:
+Strong puncher
-Largely unproven against elite comp
+Probably hungrier for the W then Navarette
I'm like 55-45 on Navarette. Not sure enough to put money down.
>>
>>153658603
Circumstances are different from guy to guy, like why would you defend your belt 5 or more times in a div with no big names when the divs above have more popular guys which means more money for you if you land a fight with them, in that scenario the only reason I see a guy not wanting to move up is because they are too small to move up or just dont really care about money that much
now if a div is hot with talent and popular names then yeah it's better to stay there for a while, you could be a 3 div champ but if all of your belts were vs literally bums ( or email bets ) them it means shit, like just compare abdul wahid who was shilled as a 3 div champ to beterbiev or bivol

The problem with constantly moving up is you end up at a point where you can’t go any further and then what? If Haney actually goes up to 154, what’s next, middleweight or retirement? If you want to have a career that anyone is going to remember you’ve got to pick a weight class and stay at it.

I believe Haney beats Ryan soundly (and boringly) in the rm
Both have shown the ability to bounce back after a low point, but only Ryan has shown he's fine with mediocrity if it means success. In other words unless Ryan suffers, he won't change. Ryan dominated Barrios, so it's very unlikely he'll change much for the Haney rm, not to mention he found great success in their first fight. I think Haney will take Ryan seriously and prepare accordingly.

Exactly like I thought, Ryan drinking his own kool aid. He got serious for the Barrios fight, and now he thinks he can do anything because he's "serious"
>>
>>153661993
It's probably the biggest one commercially outside of heavyweight
>>153662097
It's possible. Then again, Ryan won the first one in quite clear fashion (don't know how much of it was weight and doping, he probably would have won anyway without much issue), Haney will have to really rework his gameplan.
>>
Frank is based as fuck for taking it to the Saudis. This isn't even about Bongsa or /box/ meta stuff; other than Fury-Usyk, Beterbiev-Bivol and I guess Canelo-Crawford, the Saudis have been a fucking disaster for the sport. Pre-2023 boxing was in a much better (albeit not great) place compared to the fucking WASTELAND it is now
>>
>>153663009
Idk. At least the saudis make big cards and big fights.
We don't really get many situations like AJ and Fury never fighting eachother anymore or Crawford vs Spence not happening for years, if there is a huge fight to be made, they will make it.
>>
>>153662977
>Haney will have to really rework his gameplan.
I think he knows that he must, and that's why I favor him. Everytime someone asks if Ryan can beat X, I always say "it depends on X". Ryan doesn't seem like the one to change unless he has a really good reason, and I don't think fighting the guy who had success against before is a good enough reason for him
>>
>>
>>153663055
>At least the saudis make big cards and big fights
But they really don't though. Their Ring cards aren't any better than a stacked Matchroom card during the peak Hearn era, and the output of Frank/Bob/Oscar over a year was better. The mega Saudi blowout cards were a freak phenomena that started with AJ-Wallin and ended with the Parker-Bakole card. People need to actually critically analyse this other than regurgitating Turki propaganda, and I don't have loyalty to any promoter or promotional output. I just want to see cunts punch each other in the head

Huge fan of Pac but there’s no way he wins against Mayweather. Playing defense is easier to play in their age and Pac won’t have the same speed/strength. Playstyle combined with age is just not in Pac’s side. Mayweather is just gonna jog around the ring and collect a check.

The Saudis partnered with Warren to get into the sport of boxing and now he's butthurt because now they partnered with TKO/Zuffa and didn't include him. Dana White has been saying for YEARS that the status quo of boxing is retarded and now he gets to prove his case with Zuffa Boxing's UFC-esque model.
>>153664337
Right, rumours aside I think a big point that post was trying to make is that Queensberry has not been promoting any Riyadh Season fights since November and that there are no plans for them to work together in the future. We won't know the exact details of the agreement but that's the part of the post that stood out to me personally.

From that day until now, the reason why Floyd got the decision was because what Manny said about gay marriage. Anyone who says Floyd won has some kind of thought deep in their minds of "Well, more faggotry does lead to more civilization, doesn't it?" and they'll just have to say it like that out loud. They did some of that since but there ones still stuck in the closet and I am talking about YOU. We all know being into this sport doesn't exempt you from being not straight. We all know that.

>now he gets to prove his case with Zuffa Boxing's UFC-esque model
This will only work for low level, up and coming fighters. It won't work for big names because of pay parity. Eddie Hearn is completely right here. If Dana White pays a lot of money comparable to current boxing promotions, then his UFC fighters will feel shafted. If he pays little like his UFC business, then good fighters won't sign.
What's likely to happen is fighters signed to Zuffa early might have to sign off some kind of revenue share or equity deal so Zuffa takes a percentage even when their fighters get big and sign with a big name promotion who is willing to pay big money. Like when McGregor allegedly had to pay 50% of his purse against Floyd to the UFC.

Just saw a highlight of this guy's (only) win in boxing. He is such a shit boxer. This will be an incredibly boring match. Usyk isn't even as pre-right entertaining as Fury, so where does the entertainment come from for this fight?
>>
As stupid Fury vs Mandingo was, in retrospect, it was an entertaining saga. Fury gets dropped and arguably loses to some dude from MMA, people think this guy can actually make a name for himself at HW (considering old fart Zhang was on the rise at this point, playing to his strengths), guy gets a bout with AJ and gets OBLITERATED in two rounds-- that was a fun story to review for the first time or to witness all over again. I can't imagine Usyk vs literally who is going to be entertaining, because Usyk isn't a monster hitter like AJ. This is going to end in a referee stoppage (if we're lucky) after a Dubois-Usyk style domination. Usyk isn't unlikeable enough to want to see get humiliated, and who will act as boxing saviour to pick up the scraps?
Actually, if Usyk gets bodied by what's his name and Agit puts john doe back to whatever hole he crawled from, that would be entertaining

I genuinely dont understand turkis play with these retarded crossover fights like this and fury/ngubu. Fury vs. Ngannou did nothing other than kill off some of the hype for the first fury/usyk fight, you'd thought he would have learned his lesson there but i guess not. Must be life changing money if you get someone who's usually hunted for nothing but the biggest challenges in his career like usyk has to agree to this shitshow, then again it might just be his retirement fight. I would say that I cant believe the sanctioning bodies are letting this be for his belt but I wont because I very much can

And then Usyk will have to fight his mandatory which is Kabayel, or give up the belt. He might just retire after the circus fight, we'll see.

yeah but thats more so because of their historical value which they inherently cant lose. the wbc belt no matter how poorly ran the org is has and probably will always be considered THE belt in boxing. almost everyone thinks of the green strap when they think of a boxer holding the world title. the ibo are much better run than most of the main bodies but still nobody cares about it anyway because its never carried the historical value as the other belts for example

One rule my coach taught me about defense. There are three ways to protect yourself. Move your hands (to block), move your upper body (to slip), move your feet (to exit out of range). On defense you need to be moving 2 of those 3. And Vargas has flat feet and doesnt use his hands for defense. Hes only using upper body. Easy to see where Vargas has to improve

Not saying Nunez has been juicing his entire career but not not saying he hasnt been either. Wonder how he looks when there is actual strict drug testing like there is for this fight
I also think its a major red flag when a 30+ year old hires a nutritionist for the first time. Makes me think the weight cut was awful. Fight could go either way is what im saying but I'm betting on Nunez
>>
>>
>>
>>
>>153698467
Navarette finally hiring a nutritionist means he's finally taking this totally serious. In the last few years he's had some ugly performances and it was obvious he was gaining huge between and just using camp as a weight cut. He's gonna have so much energy and feel very fluid in this fight.

>This is a great shame that Oleksandr Usyk and his wife blindly support Ukraine's enemy!
>Bubka must be immediately stripped of the title of "Hero of Ukraine" with the imposition of personal sanctions. The state of Ukraine must officially appeal to the IOC with a call to exclude Bubka from this body. And the Security Service of Ukraine must finally open its eyes and officially charge Bubka with collaborationist activities and state treason.

This was known for ages if you werent such a newfag. I remember usyk and loma having interviews before the invasion where they are very clearly mpre supportive of Russia. They had to play along with the whole soldier act and that other shit because they wouldve got crucified at the start of the war for not 100% supporting Ukraine, they can kind of let the mask down more now because everyone in Europe has forgotten about it and is obsessing over the middle east again.

Its really not. He has literally always intentionally avoided answering the question of who actually should own Crimea for years now whenever it gets brought up in interviews and he and loma were put on the Myrotvorets database (lists individuals posing a threat to Ukraine's security) ages ago. Unless you payed no attention to how he actually spoke about the war prior to this, you shouldn't be surprised, hes been an extremely vocal member of the Russian church which that jew zelensky has been trying to destroy. I feel bad for him and loma desu

I dont understand enough about these middle Eastern retards to even know what this bubka guy did that was so bad. Seems like they just hate him cause he views himself as Russian and doesn't think every Russian in history should be killed like some of these retarded Ukrainians do. We should just nuke all of eastern europe honestly and just keep some of their boxers around, demented countries the lot of them

People oft ask me "Aapo sir" they call me "sir" it's very nice I don't ask them to do it they just do it but it's really a very nice thing when you think about it "Aapo sir" they say "do you ever get tired of being right all the time?" and I say "Never!" you can never get used to it because once you do well you don't really appreciate it the way you should.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

To the town of Wythenshawe
Rode a stranger one fine day
Hardly spoke to folks around him
Didn't have too much to say
No one dared to ask his business
No one dared to make a slip
The stranger there among them
Had a big corey on his hip
Big corey on his hip
It was early in the morning
When he rode into the town
He came riding from the south side
Slowly looking all around
"He's an outlaw loose and running"
Came the whisper from each lip
"And he's here to do some business
With the big corey on his hip"
Big corey on his hip

Yeah? In what promotion. You might as well say the winner of the WBU or WBF is a boxing 'world' champion.

Rico has some freakish genetics for his frame but he has beat no one and his record isn’t exactly that impressive. Not to mention that Glory kick-boxing is mostly 3 or 5 3 minute rounds. Meaning he is mostly winning by decision in 15 minute fights and fighting guys like this

Who said I was shilling? You're acting like I'm saying this is a better fight than against Kabayel. All I'm saying is that this is still way ahead of the Fury/Ngannou show, and that in terms of achievement in their respective sports, Rico in kickboxing is leagues beyong Ngannou in MMA.

I had to watch the fight today because there was no good streams last night, and I gotta say the stoppage was kinda shit. It seems more and more that fights are getting stopped prematurely as soon as someone's visibly hurt. Takes all the drama out of the fight for me. Great performance by Vaquero but the end was kinda gay.

Ngannou was regarded as the baddest man on the planet before Fury fought him and was believed by many to be the hardest-punching heavyweight in the world. Rico is just another bare bum in the shower when it comes to boxing.

The nonce sure knows how to pick 'em.
Meanwhile that buck heemlet lost back to back just 4 years before leaving the UFC, and his only winning championship bouts were against an old version of a guy who had beaten him before, then an absolute humpfest I was convinced to watch... 2 losses and 6 wins in his last 8 fights over 4 years, vs this kickboxers' domination of 22 fights and 22 wins over 10 years being world champion.
Now that you've spammed the hell out of this one, go make a new thread, nonce, so I can ignore it and wait for the real.

Anyone that even has the faintest understanding of combat sports understands that “Glory” is a walk in the park compared to the UFC. Funny that Gonners actually tries to hype his undefeated streak against cans though.
