Fury vs Ngubi actually kind of made sense though, he called him into the ring after the Whyte fight and they both called for it to happen. I think they were even discussing it before the Whyte fight. Also just from a stylistic and aesthetic standpoint it made sense, the slick boxer-puncher vs the massive puncher. It really was kind of a gift from Fury since Ngubi left the UFC and couldn’t get a fight.

There’s zero reason for this Rico fight to take place since he doesn’t have a massive profile, isn’t a massive puncher and Usyk still has multiple mandatories he could take. Clearly Usyk feels he is above the fans now and is just at the meme stage of his career which is disappointing especially given his low activity.
