NRL
>GAME 1
Wests Tigers v Canberra Raiders
7:50pm AEST on Fox, Kayo and Ch9
Leichhardt Oval
1.55-2.46
>Leichhardt Oval will be the venue for a Thursday evening clash as the Wests Tigers, seeking to entrench themselves in the top four, host a Canberra Raiders side desperate to build on two much needed wins. The Wests Tigers suffered a heartbreaking 20-21 loss to the Broncos in Round 7, where a late Adam Reynolds field goal proved the difference. Despite the loss, their form has been excellent, with four wins out of their last six matches. The Raiders secured a gritty 26-22 victory over the Melbourne Storm at GIO Stadium. Their form prior to that win was concerning, as they struggled to maintain defensive intensity late in halves. For the Wests Tigers, Adam Doueihi has been instrumental since his return to the halves, partnering Jarome Luai to provide the most cohesive Tigers attack in recent memory. Fullback Jahream Bula is currently on a four-game try-scoring streak, utilising his support play to become the focal point of the Tigers' counter-attacking threat. The Raiders suffer the loss of Hudson Young to a two-game suspension, which sees Noah Martin move into the starting lineup. They are also without veteran prop Josh Papalii, who is sidelined with a calf injury. In their last NRL meeting, the Raiders defeated the Wests Tigers 24-10. Earlier in 2025, Canberra also edged out the Tigers 16-12. Overall, the Raiders have won 10 out of the last 11 head-to-head matches against the Tigers and have not lost at Leichhardt Oval since 2010.
Tigers 1-12 3.05
Tigers 13+ 2.70
Raiders 1-12 3.50
Raiders 13+ 6.25
Tigers -5.5 1.85 Raiders +5.5 1.96

If you don’t support the IRA you can’t support the Eureka Stockade and by extension trades unions, and you probably call Ned Kelly a terrorist. If you do that and also don’t honour the ANZAC tradition, or at least understand it enough to not want to be offensive to those who do honour it, I don’t know what kind of Australian you are but you probably need to form your own political party so every other weird cunt like you can be more easily identified

You’re meant to drop down and let the ball carriers weight drop himself because you’ve got his legs. In a hip drop the tackler swings his own weight around to bring the ball carrier down often in a dangerous and injurious way

They keep staying no one trains for this but why the fuck do cunts keep losing their legs, swinging their hips and dropping their weight?
I remember legs tackles of old you would wrap your arms around the opponents hips / legs and your torso would slide down the back of the legs.
These need hip drop tackles just seemed touch much like a wrestling tactic rather than a natural rugby tackle.

kek wake up m8 the reason they’re taught to lose their legs in the tackle is because the momentum of the tackle + gravity will immediately swing the tacklers weight onto the legs and bring them to an immediate stop. It’s 1000% a symptom of wrestling mechanics within defensive training. In the early ‘00s you’d be lucky to see this happen once every couple of months now we have multiple instances of it each game.

Indians aren’t classed as Asians. Indians are Indians, and there’s Indian adjacent like Sri Lankans and Pakistanis and Bangladeshis who aren’t strictly Indian but they’re kind of almost the same pretty much in a way, sub-continentals I suppose.
If you say to me “this Asian bloke”, I don’t think Indian at all, I think Chinese or Thai or something like that it doesn’t matter which country it’s to say when you don’t know exactly the country otherwise you’d just say which country

If you’re from Bogabilla and play your junior footy for Goondiwindi it’s closer and probably makes sense if they don’t have a club in Bogabilla or you can’t get along there. Tenterfield and especially Bowraville is taking the piss.
Mat Rogers was born in the shire and played for Engadine then they moved to QLD and he played for Nerang from the age of 9, this is acceptable
