Thanks for the recommendation. I often go there first, then if it's paid I check Kemono and other sites. I did actually find a torrent by digging a bit deeper but most of the videos associated with it aren't what I look for in videos from btdig. I know it sounds cheap but I am looking to avoid paying if possible. In fact I've started making my own but then I become more involved with refining it while I watch it rather than enjoying it.

I'm working on some JAV VR subtitles. It started for my own entertainment but I'll probably share them when/if I actually finish. Both vids are a couple recent favorites. I think the emotional charge is really intense.
SAVR-762: Classmate is overly jealous and overbearing. Punishes you with face/ear licking. Says obsessive, creepy things. Eventually she pressures you into sex in an empty classroom and starts talking about getting pregnant and the two of you being together forever. It's one of the most intense face-licking scenes ever made. The fact that she's not one of the more typically attractive JAV models makes it even hotter.
I think I'm about 40% done.
FCVR-051: Two condescending gyarus humiliate you for being a virgin who can't get find a girlfriend or get laid. Tons of verbal humiliation and slutty gyaru slang. The content is extremely hot as they genuinely act like you're a loser who is beneath them. In the third scene they keep demanding you don't cum, mock your lack of sexual skills, tell you if you finish early you'll never see them again, etc.
This one is nightmare tier to translate. It's nearly impossible to rip clean Japanese transcripts, and the two girls speak CONSTANTLY to you and each other. The 3rd scene is mostly sex, and there's more interesting verbal humiliation in the first two. I have about 50% of the 3rd scene done.
There are so many other scenes I want to translate, but it's more time-consuming than I expected. I really want to capture the tone/feeling in the translation without losing the quirky erotic Japanese-isms of the original language.

I'm using AI for each step. Right now I rip the audio file, split it into fragments, convert them to transcripts using OpenAI Whisper, then use LLM models to translate everything, adjusting each sentence for tone and context. After that, it's just creating the different timestamps manually and adjusting each phrase.
If anyone has tips on improving my workflow I'd appreciate it. It's my first time translating. I think I can produce quality work, but the final phase of marking the spoken parts of the track and adding the subs is very time-consuming.

Any thoughts on getting a Quest 3 now or waiting for the Steam Frame?
For our particular use case the Steam Frame seems amazing: either stream from your PC with a dedicated dongle or simply pop in a massive microSD into the storage expansion slot and you're good to go. Sounds perfect for when you have terabytes of VR.
I wonder if playing 8K VR over the dongle's connection will get compressed down though, could be a deal breaker.
The SF will likely also be nearly twice as expensive, that wouldn't surprise me at all.
Lenses, resolution and refresh rate being nearly the same, people looking to enter VR (porn) now or looking to upgrade are soon facing an interesting choice.

Quest Link and Air Link also have compression.
Basically anything that isn't specifically a displayport cable plugged into your GPU is going to have some sort of compression. Whether you notice it or not is another story.
But it doesn't really matter because for wireless VR porn videos you should be using SMB or XBVR anyway, there's absolutely no reason not to.

I just left everything as is except changing the codec to av1 in handbrake. re encoding took about 40 minutes to an hour per 30-40 minutes video, using a 9800x3d. Tried this on a couple of javs, each with around 5 parts and 30 gigs total, size went down to 10 gigs or less. I then stupidly replaced both javs with their av1 reencodes before thinking about actually watching them in vr and not just in my pc. I just learned the quest 2 does not support av1. I guess this one's on me for not checking, now to redownload those javs.

In VR I have everything stored locally and delete anything I don't like, so I can nut really quick. If you just fap and don't really do PCVR at all, is it even worth it to pay extra? The big upsides I see are the SD card support which makes it easy to just pop in your 1TB card filled with JAV VR monke's and fap yourself into the sunset. Then when you have friends over you just remove the card and it's a clean machine.
That and obviously no META on your device, but how much does that matter?

If anyone wants to try AI translation to see how it is nowadays, try these settings in WhisperJav. The transcription part is actually just as tricky as the translation, and there isn't really a one-size-fits-all going on. But after testing various engines, I feel like these settings accurately transcribe the dialog with fewer mistakes.
Use LM Studio with the sugoi-14b-ultra model for translation. It will still get context wrong, I'm not sure if context will ever get fixed fully. There are a lot of settings to assist this though, for example...

I have experience running PSVR1 on a PS4 Pro and PS5, as well as PSVR2 on PS5, and I can tell you that the RAD TV app for PSVR2 is absolute dogshit and a downgrade to the PSVR1 app in every way. Not only do videos run worse for no reason, but it's missing a lot of small quality of life features the PSVR1 app had. It's not worth the subscription if you can watch VR on something else.

NTA but no there are some filetype + resolution combinations not supported by Quest 3 hardware. Except I don't own one so I don't remember what they are and most of the information on the topic you can find online is flat out wrong and unreliable.
Quest 3 can also get choked by stupidly high bitrate and you might make the mistake in thinking its a resolution issue when its actually that, but I'm talking about a bitrate so high you're not going to see it 99% of the time (but I have seen it here and there).
Also you should be targeting the highest framerate you can play as it makes a huge difference in VR, except IRL porn is pretty much never recorded in high frame rate so if that's all you watch its kinda irrelevant.
Your max targets are 8K and 120 FPS but as I said you won't see 90-120FPS unless you're looking at animated porn, so otherwise your target is 8K60FPS. I'm like 99% sure these specs work fine on Quest 3 when playing H265 encoded video. Again I forget what is and isn't supported but you shouldn't ever have to go lower than 6K60FPS for most encoder types. If you ever do watch animated stuff where 90+ FPS is an option ALWAYS prioritize frame rate over resolution, so if you can't run an 8K90-120FPS video then 6K 90-120FPS is way way better than 8K 60FPS.

Like I said, it doesn't exist outside of animated porn. And even then not everyone does it because it can be challenging to render properly and can makes the bitrate even bigger than it already is. Which is a shame because its a massive upgrade in quality. I don't have any samples for you unless you like MMD porn (you don't), in which case you can just check the MMD thread on /h/.
If the only thing you watch is IRL porn then you don't have to worry about any of that and can just grab the highest resolution version you can find. If 8K doesn't work on your quest 3 with a certain encoder format then 6K should. I only know for sure that 8K60FPS works fine on quest 3 when encoded with H.265 but can't be assed to remember any of the other combinations.
